Why would Simone's death mean that Peter and Isaac can go in all sorts of interesting directions? Was her presence preventing them from doing this?

Just saw where someone pointed out that Peter once met Eden, so perhaps that's where the deep scary voice came from. Holy crap, he's got the Pusher power?!

She was there when Peter visited Mohinder in "Collision." And as you can see from this image, he was most definitely within range to pick up her ability. I enjoy the shows I watch but, really...I just shouldn't try to talk about them at all. Ever. And you wound up on this website how and why?

Good episode, this. Hiro stopped worrying about his power and went on instinct and it worked. Yay! Trust The Force yourself, Hiro! I don't think we've seen the last of Ando - if anything, Hiro being all noble and trying to send his best friend away will only make Ando more determined to stick around. I loved the Stan Lee cameo, too. Mohinder is certainly clueless. Maybe he'll catch on about Sylar before Sylar is able to deal with his latest stolen power, and maybe Sylar won't kill him, too. I hope so. I'm sorry to see the last of Simone, but on the other hand, it seemed as if the writers didn't quite know how to use her. She was really more of an object of conflict than a person. Now we get to see if Peter goes all Dark Willow. I hope not, as Simone's death was just as much his fault as Isaac's, in my humble opinion anyway. Maybe this will be the shock Peter needs to settle down and find some self-control and for Goddess' sake grow up. Peter Pan, indeed. Anne, very much looking forward to next week

I had a thought this morning about Simone.
What if Peter got more from Claire than self-regeneration power. What if he is also able to morph that into a 'healing' power?

Terrific episode. The writers are really becoming adept at pacing as well as juggling all of the characters, since I was on the edge of my seat throughout, and a half hour felt like an hour..in a good way. I could easily see Peter somehow "saving" Simone. I like how Peter's become such a complex character. He could do much evil, despite so many good intentions. I also like the how he and Nathan are beginning to reflect the ambiguous approach to resisting or fighting evil. Just what does it take? If developed well it could be a subtle yet powerful exploration of "Why we fight." (Which is on my mind since I'm rewatching Angel S5 right now. Heroes looks like it might explore issues that kinda remind me of the whole quandary about whether it was a good move to take over Wolfram and Hart...still not sure that was the story I wanted to see for Angel's swan song season, but that's another discussion.) I'm also really eager to see how the heroes interact as a team...beginning with Matt and his newfound companions. The biggest concern I have right now is how the plot with Syler and Mohinder develops. I don't think I'll enjoy watching Mohinder play the patsy as Sylar uses him, so I hope that partnership is resolved somehow. I"d miss Mohindar, but not as much as others. The episode was packed with stuff so I'm leaving out a ton of comments about Hiro and Claire and HRG etc.

I loved the Stan Lee cameo, too. I certainly hope we see Ando again. It would be very in his character to not let Hiro push him away "for his own good". I think he has a place among our heroes, even if he doesn't have a special power. Excellent thoughts about Peter!

Someone he's encountered but that we haven't seen yet. Or we've seen but they've kept their power hidden. Um. OK, I'm really going out into "what if" territory with that one, eh?

And every week, when the show is done, I want more. Why we fight and how we fight, perhaps? Such a cliffhanger with Claire and the folks who've come to her house!

Can I just say how much I love that the empath, with no active powers of his own, who we all thought was gonna be fairly vulnerable when he wasn't around other talents, is gonna wind up being the strongest of all?
And also: "We'll put that on your tombstone after you blow up New York. 'Peter Petrelli: He Tried".
HEE!

Wow. That scene, with Peter flying? Was beautiful, classic, straight out of the first Superman movie.

After Claude's bit about Darwin's pigeon breeding, I'm all the more sure that someone out there is doing a mutant breeding experiment. Hell, they could get sperm donations and impregnate women when they're bagging and tagging them.
Also, Sylar is crazy, but until now I didn't realize he was stupid. Or did he not realize Mohinder would recognize his m.o. and immediately call off the visits and involve the police? He got one new power before that happened. He couldn't just save up, wait, go back after they'd visited a few dozen new talents?
