future Hiro meeting Past Hiro. this should be interesting. and future Hiro has been doing his work with the timeline thing. Hiro and Ando and Hiro. It's a fabulous Hiro sandwich! I tend to think Isaac is really dead-dead. I mean, he was so sure that he was meant to die, to die a hero because he'd seen how they'll win in the future. But at the same time . . . . maybe he saw that he died but then also didn't die? I'm confused.

You know, they keep having Sylar all unconscious and stuff...kill the motherfulker, already! I mean, really. Mohinder's priorities should be:
1) Kill Sylar via decapitation if at all possible
2) See if Peter's okay.

The only POSSIBLE way I can fanwank Mo-mo's reticence in turning Sylar's head into mush with a blunt object is that his upbringing, whether secular or religious, leaves him unprepared and off-balance when facing a "he needs killin'" situation.

Claire learns Peter is her brother (no incest for you, missy!) and that Grandma and Grandpa kept the kid in the dark about her existance. They "made arrangements". Hmmmmm. So, the elder Petrelli's are the bridge between the Primatech people and Linderman's people? Do they come from a time when they were one group, before they split? Granny Petrelli tells Claire she has "no idea" about just what's she's facing (and I think she's a bit right, but not entirely right and she's not gonna stop Claire if she wants to do something.) "If you choose to come back and join this madness, like I once did." Interesting. I have the same question that Claire asked, sort of. Does Granny P have a power? She didn't answer. Awwwww. Sylar's computer list go bye bye? What a pity. ;D Crap. But he has Isaac's address now. Heee! Cute little messenger guy, so interested in the comic. Has to promise not to spill any spoilers. Oh, damn. Giving away his sketchbook. 'Cuz he knows he's gonna be killed. Jessica trying to justify what she's been doing, that it's all "for Micah". But hubby calls her on it. "Everywhere you go, people die." Ooh, ouch! Says she's "turned into your old man". Ouchie, ouch, ouch! She didn't like that one bit. But he has a very good point. When does protecting warp into actively bringing danger closer. And when do you find you are turning your power on him? A moment of anger, like any parent might have toward their child, could turn deadly if you have superpowers and not a lot of control over them. And then you'd be just like daddy. HRG's clever escape plan continues, rather well, actually. Hmmmm. Are the thoughts getting hard for Matt to read the farther he moves from HRG's location? Ah. Told him to pick up the nuke guy. Mohinder brought Peter to his mom's house. Hmmmm. I still don't believe he's really really dead. I mean, Claire was all dead with a glass shard in her head, but then they took it out and she was all better. I think Granny P has a power as well, telling Claire she had to make the same decision that Claire needs to make. she knew about the boys powers. Linderman also said he knew others that had powers besides himself. Granny P arranged Claire to be watched by HRG. And also Hiro's dad was involved in that as well. I am guessing this is a hereditary trait. and Granny P and Hiro's dad also have a power. just a thought. I think Granny Petrelli's power is being a humongously horrid and evil-bent bitch-monster from hell. Just a personal opinion.

Good episode.
The Petrellis, brothers and mom, are much closer than I'd thought - Nathan's and Mamma's grief over Peter's death was real.
Mamma P. was, I think, enjoying the thought of showing Claire around Paris.
Did Peter absorb the abilities of all the people Sylar killed?
Did Sylar get Isaac's addiction along with his ability?
Future!Hiro and our Hiro face to face. Isn't that the sort of thing the Doctor warned Rose about?

Oh my show, you're back, you're back. I've missed you so. Things I adored:
1. The ending. Future Hiro and present Hiro. And future Hiro looks really pissed off. 2. Mama Petrelli kicked ass. And I want to know what her super power is right now. 3. Bye, bye Mr. Eye-sock. I liked you this ep, you grew a pair. That was scary, horrible, sad and mystifying (what did he figure out? Is it in the comic?) all at once. Great scene. 4. Loved the replay of the Mohinder/Sylar/Peter confrontation. The invisibility, the glass fragments, the death. Nice. Of course we all knew he wouldn't stay dead and I guessed Claire would save the day, but still nice. 5. The beginning of evil power mad Nathan? I don't know because I avoid anything that smacks of spoilers about this show like the plague but he sure seemed like he liked the painting Linderman showed him. (and aww, Linderman is a healer.) Plus the previews seem to indicate he's stepping over to the dark side. 6. Matt, Mr. Bennett and Radioactive guy on the lam. Hee! Loved the breakout and this week I liked Matt. Keep Mrs. Pregnant far, far away from Matt because he's much more kickass without her. 7. How in the world would Nicki ever think she could keep Micah away from Linderman once he made up his mind? Dumb, dumb, dumb. Now what does Linderman want Micah to open anyway? 8. Sylar really sucks at painting doesn't he? Hee, hee, hee.
Things I didn't like:
1. Sniff. I'm sad for Isaac even though I didn't really like him. 2. Not enough Hiro. 3. Did they really think we would think Peter would stay dead? Really? 4. Having to wait another week to see it again.
ETA: I've since read that what Linderman needs Micah for is posted online somewhere in one of those ongoing online plots. I haven't read it yet and I find that a little frustrating because I really don't want to.

I loved the "I'm confused."
And next week's ep looks very intriguing. (It's like allowing themselves to play with AU fanfic plotlines before returning to "real canon.")
I could see a future in which Peter blows up leading to scary Nathan. Peter is sort of his lodestone and if he loses Peter and hope I could easily see him going after power with no balance.
LOLA---Claire is Peter's niece, not sister. (same deal with the incest, but still thought I'd clarify)

I just had a thought (don't say it) - what if the thing that went wrong for Future!Hiro is no Ando?
Maybe Ando didn't come back to help him get the sword, or something bad happened to Ando early on.
I think Hiro needs his bestest buddy to keep him from losing hope and keep him grounded. Kind of Xander to Hiro's Buffy, maybe.
I don't know. I am very confused.

I'm confused in the good way. So many possibilities, so many questions about what happens next.
Putting the comic book style into the hands of really good writers means they can do anything, any time, as long as they stick to the rules of their universe. I love it.
I don't think the FutureHiro we saw tonight was the same one we saw on the subway with Peter. He looks much more angry and hardened.
So maybe SubwayFutureHiro was from an earlier or later time-line than IsaacStudioFutureHiro.
*begins counting the minutes until next weeks episode*

I did not like the crucifixion scene. Blurgh. The show has been on hiatus so long, I can't remember who knows who anymore. How does Mohinder know Mr. Bennett? I couldn't figure out how he had his business card, and why he felt compelled to call him.

Interesting link within the link: The Physics of Superheroes. It could be the clue Isaac referred to - to besting Syler, or maybe the clue was in the final comic or original sketches.

Yes, my thought was that Isaac had written something in his comic book pages that he gave to the messenger kid that would help Hiro. He knows Hiro reads the comic. And, Jan, I definitely agree (so far) that it's a good confusion, thus far.

I seem to remember a scene, though I don't recall which episode, where Mr. Bennett talked briefly with Mohinder and gave him his business card and asked him to call him if he needed help, after they briefly discussed the issue of people with powers (maybe not in much detail).
Personally, I don't understand why any serialized TV drama goes through this business of off-and-on, new episodes/reruns/recaps. I thought, when I was a kid, that the shows would run throughout the TV year except for two or so weeks in December, and then one would wait until the next season for new episodes. I would much prefer one long arc, October-April or whatever, with 2-3 weeks off in December, then reruns, then the new season.
