Well, I mean, really. The only way to improve that scene would have been to add Orlando Bloom. With a bow. *has a happy moment of imagining Orlando Bloom tied up in ribbon, then realizes that's not the kind of bow Rachael meant* You had me at Orlando Bloom.

Just want to take a moment to note that I totally called it regarding what Linderman wanted Micah for. Sadly, though, only folks who venture over to "spoiled souls" read my guess, as I decided to err on the side of caution and posted it there.

Sooooo worried about Ando!! Oh, that's right - Linderman is dead! And so is Mr. Roberts! So, 3 dead so far in the finale. (I guess I had only been thinking of the "powers" people . . . ) But it will be so fun to spend the summer guessing what adventures they'll have next. We might need a thread. At least to muse about what might be interesting superpowers. They've been far more creative than I'd imagined. (And they darn well better hadn't kill Ando. He's got some of the best superpowers around.) I am sure someone else made this comparison before but I agree about Ando, some of the best powers around. He is our Xander!!!

Well, even the spoiler-adverse s'cubies know what a smartie you are, so I'm sure it surprises no one to know you figured it out. ;D

I don't like Hiro's favorite childhood story. This one was mine, from the time I was about 6 or so. And, no. I don't like Hiro's much, either.

why did sylar suddenly decide to kill a whole bunch of, as he would put it, ordinary people? i don't really get it. (also, apparently in the heroes' new york city, legs don't atrophy from disuse...) I think killing his mom warped Sylar's brain just a bit more than it already was. I agree.

I think losing his mother snapped whatever tenuous hold he had on his conscience in that regard. Heck, maybe the only reason he felt he couldn't do it was because he'd risk killing his mother; with her already dead, he doesn't have anything left to lose.

I don't like Hiro's favorite childhood story. Particularly in an episode that references Silver Surfer #1. The Silver Surfer, IIRC, gives up his heart and his humanity to save his world. Also, I can't believe no one pick up Claire's remark about going "on patrol". I did, I did! I just wan't here to say anything about it!

She is a rather Buffy-inspired kid, not that that's a bad thing.

I haven't really ever run into anyone else who has read George MacDonald. I still have my copies of The Princess and the Goblin, and The Princess and Curdie.

George MacDonald books are among those I buy for children when I need a gift. Back to Heroes ~ Loved the episode again. All my fears from the first two/three episodes have been banished. The show is creative and inventive, character driven with terrific plotting, full of symbolism and significant exploration of themes and issues, and just so darn exciting! I groan and cheer while watching like I only have for, well, you know.

No matter what other job he's had, he always works in a bookstore of some sort. When I was little, he collected these for me. I sorely wish I still had them.

Got all of them from the school library and so I don't have copies now.

Delightful and exciting on the surface and with (as you pointed out) a lot more depth and theme than might have been expected. Soooo excited about the season finale this week. And then they'll be plenty to anticipate for next year! What new powers will be discovered? Who will be the bad guy and / or what new danger will they face next year?
