"Tumble, Turn, Overflow" part 4. The way it feels to me is like that first big drop on a rollercoaster, after the grinding and jerking of being pulled to the dropping-off point: tabaqui.livejournal.com/97787.htmlJulia, and way too much like bad times I've had to watch others live through J- She replied to your comment and asked what the Scubie board is. (Which gives away the fact the I not only read the fic, but often the comments and still don't comment. Bad me. So many authors don't like anonymous comments but I guess I should still try.) You can join bad bad bad me in the "virtually never comment" corner. I think I fear that if I ever start commenting on all the fic I read (and, oh boy do I read a lot . . . ), on LJ and in other places that I will have absolutely no life. As opposed to the sad and pathetic simulation of a life that I have now, I guess . . . ;D ;D ;D I can't ever just dip my toe in, ya know, gotta either stay out of the water or put on the diving suit.

I'll either talk to her about it today in comments somewhere else, or make the intermittant S'cubie Board link post- which if guest posting is blocked will be sort of a shame, as I've been quietly stumping for guest rec makers for months. Julia, Tab's actually one of my closer LJ friends, so I know we'll be talking at some point today Guest posting is blocked here? I had no idea. My RL has been so full on lately that I barely have time to keep up with LJ and post recs here. I'm so behind on everything! I have no idea what's been going on anywhere (which can be a good thing sometimes!).

"Beg the Liquid Red" by Eurydice has updated with Chapter 12I haven't actually read this chapter yet, but wanted to post the link while I remembered it. Wonderful story so far, which isn't very surprising as this is Eurydice we're talking about!

Oh, Bother. Trufflemouse- that is, Savoy Truffle and Reremouse, writing together, have posted four more chapters of "And Let the Gods Do the Rest", an AU where Xander stays in Oxnard and, three years down the line, needs help from the scoobie gang for a small apocalypse brought about by bad geographic data... anyway, X/S, NC-17, funny as heck, BtVS s7, and Chapter 8 brings us up to "Bad Girls". It's all at Trufflemouse and will update again tomorrow. Julia, both of these writers are capable of great things on their own, but cowriting seems to bring out the humor in both

We're testing out blocking guest posting in some of the threads, in an effort to cut down on the number of spam messages the technopagens have to delete each day. Poor things. At first it was kind of fun, searching out and destroying nonsense messages, ones with all greek letters or chain mail/pyramid scheme or other "make millions just like this", and so on. But after a while, when they're rolling in thick and fast, (40 some spambots crawling around the site at one point ), I think it stopped being entertaining for them. **pets the technopagens** Maybe after a while, the spambots will go elsewhere and we can open things up again.

And then I can just murder any spam that arrives.
