As requested, here's the place to discuss
The Vorkosigan Series by Lois McMaster Bujold
And any other books you want. Have at it. Remember, as always, the Rules, summarized as follows:
Be polite to one another. No character- or poster-bashing.
No discussion of politics or religion except as they relate (here, anyway) to the books under discussion.
Violation of these rules is grounds for immediate spine removal.**This last bit modified by Rachael for her specific use.

Well, there will be plenty of religious and political discussion around, but only relevant to Barrayar and the Miles-verse.
Thanks for the thread, Rachael.

You're assuming that there will be another book, and I hope you're right. This book series never stops amazing and entertaining me, even after so many volumes. The Dresdenverse just keeps expanding. Changes.... very much the operative word. leftylady

But in the mean time--Where's Mister? Hanging out on Lost Island with Vincent? leftylady Ha! I've collected 3 or 4 website/blog links with a fair amount of information. When I get a chance to sort thru it all I'll post it here. What is considered spoilerish with regard to books/authors' comments? What about stuff like: whether or not another book is planned? (I mean, this information alone may speak to the outcome of the cliff-hanger so I am not confirming if I read the whether or the not thing. whether or not several more books are planned, IF the answer to question above is "yes." possible plans for wrapping up the series (now -- as in, that's the end; later; eventually; in the future) possible book titles in the event such book(s) are planned. I don't like spoilers, but about the only thing I really don't like to read is specific plot details or casting spoilers that would give away specific plot details. I didn't consider anything I read to be spoilerish (or, at least to me, an degree of spoilerish that would ruin a future surprise (like the first sentence of "Changes" -- boy howdy, or in any way ruin my enjoyment of any possible future books, but others may be more paranoid. So when I do post the links I'll put a mild "read at your own risk" warning. But I may want to quote a few things so weigh in on the questions above.

Total speculation.
The main thing I DON'T want to see (at least this is how I feel now) is Harry ever getting serious about Molly.
No.

So many ways to explain - resolve Changes' ending. Too spoilerish is bad. [I'd be sad if I knew for sure there would never be more to look forward to: the waiting and anticipation and the disappointment... but time answers that question eventually!] As for the 1st line of the book, the prepublication blurb last fall -now on the book jacket - took care of that non-surprise. leftylady

MENTION OF CONTENT OF NEW DRESDEN NOVEL -- WARNING Ha! I've collected 3 or 4 website/blog links with a fair amount of information. When I get a chance to sort thru it all I'll post it here. What is considered spoilerish with regard to books/authors' comments? What about stuff like: whether or not another book is planned? Say, for example, there is a link from the Jim Butcher Wikipedia entry that leads to an entry that answers one of these speculations. [Which appears to be factual.
And maybe it's tied to a pre-order up at Amazon.
Is that too spoilerish? Now, I don't consider these things to be spoilerish with regard to content (nothing at ALL like the blurb about Susan's bombshell) and because they are out there they function, in my mind, sort of parallel to previews of next week's episode. But I know some people even avoid those previews. But the things I have in mind are not spoilerish (with regard to plot points) previews but then again just the (possible) existance of a preview implies something -- along the lines of when they said "Lost has 2 more seasons" -- was that a spoiler? It implied that the final episode of Season 3 was not the END.
ARGH. Well, then, when I get around to posting my links I'll put a spoiler warning on them and let people decide whether to go there or not. In the meantime, if anybody wants to IM me about what I'm trying to dance around, feel free. No plot details, just vague general stuff about the (possible) future/or not of the series.
