Past Fan Conventions: 2003-2004

Here’s the latest listing of fan conventions featuring Buffy/Angel castmembers that I’m aware of (i.e., the major events). Those marked with asterisks are larger, more general sci-fi events with BtVS/AtS castmembers attending (i.e., there will be Klingons and Hobbits present, as well as vampires), and I only listed the confirmed BtVS castmembers. Otherwise, the events are BtVS/AtS only.

Unfortunately I don't know the sites for the UK convention supporters. It's nothing personal. Heck, I'm sure you guys have some planned -- you always seem to get the really monster sized conventions, where James Marsters and Anthony Stewart Head will appear together; they don't seem to do that here in the states. Guess there just aren't auditoriums big enough to suit that many adoring fans.

Might have to do with the fact that in Britain you can have one convention in London and everyone in the country can get to it in a matter of hours by car.

According to JM's site, he's only going to do 2 cons in the US this year. Moonlight Rising in Pennsylvania in June and Vulkon in Oakland. The VIP dance at the MR Con is already sold out.

Farewell Concert To Aaron
GOTR is putting on a final farewell concert for their drummer, Aaron Anderson, who is taking a leave of absence to go on a mission.
The concert will be january 3, 2004 in Sacramento California at the Crest Theatre. It will be an all ages concert. Advance tickets will be $12.50 and can be purchased at www.tickets.com or by calling the Crest Box Office at 916-442-7378. The doors will open at 7 pm and the first opening band will go on at 8 pm. This should be a very exciting and emotional night for everyone who wants to wish Aaron well before he leaves.

Dev, there are two "An Audience with James Marsters" events in Europe next May. I'm surprised you haven't heard about them. One is in Berlin (May 9) and the other in London (May 15, I think). Unfortunately, the London event is sold out, but there are still tickets to the Berlin event. If you want more information, go to

We plan to have an on-site Buffy store at the conference, selling
books, DVDs,
memorabilia. Among the books available will be Jana Riess’ WHAT WOULD
BUFFY
DO?, which will be launched at the conference.

As mentioned on the website, we plan to arrange a bus tour (on Monday,
May
31st) to Memphis (about 230 miles away), which will include stops at
Beale
Street, The Civil Rights Museum, and, of course, Graceland. The cost of
the
trip is yet to be determined but should be around $50 per person (the
more
making the trip, the lower the cost). If you would like to board the
