The above video is a lovely tribute prepared by Wendy. I really don't know what to say other than to thank Wendy and to say that she did indeed touch upon the very beautiful soul of a woman that was cherished by so many. Patti will always be looking after us.
If you have any comments, either about Patti, or in response to Wendy's loving work, please use this thread to make them.

That was beautiful Wendy. I'm sitting here wiping my eyes and trying not to sniffle. Thank you for doing this for her and for all those S'cubies who were so close to her. Thanks for sharing this with us.

I've tried everything I can think of, and I can't get either player to show the video. Oh well, I'm sure it's lovely.

I've tried everything I can think of, and I can't get either player to show the video. Oh well, I'm sure it's lovely. It takes quite a while to load up before it plays, Anne. The video was beautiful and moving, Wendy. You captured the essence of Patti so very well. I was both smiling and crying while watching. Thank you so much for such a wonderful tribute to Patti. It has helped to fill up the hole in our hearts with a lovely memory. {{Wendy}}

Wendy,
I don't think I have the words to describe how watching your video made me feel. Such a beautiful, moving tribute to Patti. I miss her so much, at times I find it difficult to be at S3 at all. It's irrational to feel that way, I know. I never got to meet Patti in RL, but she was one of the main reasons why I loved S3 so much. S3 isn't the same without her, but I'm glad to see that it's continuing to thrive; that so many people get so much out of being here. Patti would be proud of you all.
Your video made me smile, it made me cry, but most of all, it made me remember. Thank you.
{{Wendy}}
{{S'cubies}}
Sending love and hugs to you all.

Wendy: I don't have the words to accurately convey how moved I was to watch the work of beauty you put together. What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful person. Have to go, crying, again.

Wendy:
I downloaded it and can't get it to play on my machine. It says there's a compression problem.

Thank you so much for sharing the file with me!! I think if you can get this version linked as well, it should solve the problems any folks might have. Good idea. And I'm crying again now. Because this was truly lovely! Really. I can't say enough . . . You did such a splendid job - the music chosen, the quotes, the photos and the way they were developed into a story. From the opening moments as we watch Patti get her gifts at S'cubiefest to the closing shot . . . I really just can't say how beautiful this is. You can be very proud. You did justice to Patti's memory. #grouphug# Lola

Thank you so much to everyone for the kinds words. Though I honestly feel like I can't take all the credit. Every S'cubie here had a hand in this from your contributions, to all of the love everyone felt for Patti.
I had a hard time with this video for several reasons. One - I had never vidded still images before. Two - It was really hard to get started because it made me really sad. Three - I wanted this video to represent what Patti meant to all of us.
I had started to have doubts that I was going to be able to do it. Then one night at about 1 am I was inspired. I stayed up all night working on it. Everything just starting falling into place. The story just started telling itself. I can't help but to wonder if Patti was looking over my shoulder and giving me a little nudge to get me going.
I hope I was able to do justice to Patti's memory. I hope the video was able to touch you as well as make you smile. I doubt I will ever have the chance to work on a video that meant so much to me and was so important. Thank you all for giving me this opportunity to share this with you.

For those of you that have experienced difficulty in viewing the Patti Tribute video by Wendy, be aware that she has also created a .wmv file that is smaller in size (and resolution) and is playable by almost any player. The link to this new file may be found in the ammended first post of this thread. Thanks, Wendy!
