I've posted a list of links in my LJ to some of the many posts that have been appearing since the news of Nan's passing first broke. I thought it would be a good idea to gather as many of them together as I could find. You can find them hereETA: There are now 40 links over at my LJ...and that's only some of the tributes that have been posted. So many beautiful and moving tributes to Nan.

I posted this on the main thread earlier..and someone suggested I post it here as well!
ok.... I have been trying to figure out a way to truly express my sorrow and condolences for everyones loss on this board.
As I sat here last night and this afternoon reading every post about Nan it really saddens me that I did not know her as well as I would have liked.
that being said I am sure she would find all of your sentiments and remembrances about her just wonderful. I did not realize just how many people Nan touched with her thoughts, writings, and words. I didn't realize just how many people have been on this board in the past until Nan's passing.
I am amazed at how many people came in to express their deepest sympathies and regrets, some of which has posted in the thousands and for some reason or another has left or not been able to come in lately.
I truly hope some of them stick around after so I can meet and get to know them! This is a wonderful place and you people are all amazing. I can really feel the love everyone had for Nan and I could not think of a better place to be than here at my computer reading all of your wonderful comments on this amazing woman, and getting to know each one of you.
I just wish I knew her sooner! Any person that can have this kind of effect on this many people truly lived a blessed life, and I am glad she has blessed this board and all of you with her presence. It is obvious She has touched each of you in her own special and unique way
thanks again for making me feel apart of something really special on this board!

Nan, thank you for giving us Plot. Thank you for the wonderful hours I was lost in your stories. Thank you for being the inspiration that led me to finally read the Elements of Style. Thank you for the support when I needed it.
I watched Harry Potter yesterday and thought of Patti and how much she would've enjoyed it.
Just before my Dad died he said to me, "Well, Saz, I'm off to my next great adventure."
Bon voyage to you Nan, and your next great adventure.

How beautiful to see all the tributes here. I loved Nan dearly and loved the joy she took from life, even when Life sideswiped her.
The world is a little colder without her out there somewhere, imparting wisdom, kicking a little whiny butt when needed and laughing at all of it.
Bless you, sweetie.

On our old e-mail list, The Loft (named after Diana Bennett's Loft in Beauty and the Beast), it was my custom to welcome each new member with a short story bit with them in it. So, someone suggested someone write a fanfic featuring Nan. So, I thought it might be appropriate to give Nan as a farewell. Another DayThe mortician had been very depressed after talking to the people who had loved Nan Dibble. He had been a fan of her writing for some time. With a sigh, he turned toward the room where she lay, but when he opened the door he could only stare in shock. The room was empty! *** Nan had never remembered being so hungry in her life. It must’ve been that darn flu. I haven’t eaten much. I must be getting better, then. She opened her eyes, blinked, and squinched them shut a moment. I must be delerious. Carefully, she opened them again. Yep. He was still there. Spike.
Spike smirked, and Nan’s toes curled. He took her hand and helped her off the table. “Hungry, Luv?”
Nan looked around the room. It was still solid. She patted herself. She was still solid. Tentatively, she reached out and touched Spike’s face. He was solid. “What….? What’s happened?” She patted for her cigarettes, but Spike handed her his.
“For someone with your command of language, that’s a pretty spare response.” His grin widened, and she could see the rebel rising. “You didn’t really think I could let you go, just like that, did you? Bloody Hell, woman, it just wasn’t your time.”
Nan took a drag of the cigarette and handed it back to Spike. “I’m starved.”
He gave her his arm. “My bike’s out front, and your scooter’s right beside. Let’s go.”
Nan smiled, realizing she wasn’t dreaming. “After breakfast, why don’t we drive on to New York? There’s someone there I’d just love for you to meet.” It ain’t over ‘til it’s over.

So many have said so much already. I'm usually pretty glib, but in these circumstances I'm at a loss.
If heaven is a place where your dreams can become reality, Nan's probably watching tensions rise between Vincent and Spike, wondering if she should step in before their fight over her breaks out into serious violence.
Let the boys fight, Nan. You can tend to their wounds later.
