Laura submitted her profile. I finally got it posted. I'm a bad, bad technopagan. Forgive me, Laura? Also, Rob's latest chapter of Triangles. Number 15 continues on in this taut story. Rob's third book in his Chronicles of Truth saga is perhaps his best yet, written in an ever broadening style. Rob, I am loving this and I think others are too. I truly think that you might consider using it as a demonstration to publishers if you ever want a "novelization" type gig. You manage to capture voices very, very well and your storyline and pacing are superb. Vlad, TA, tp Thank you. It's very nice of you to say. The next couple of chapters will be headed your way soon. It's getting near that time to write those pesky action sequences again....so naturally I'll put that off and write a few character conversations that I always wanted to see and never got the chance. This story is going to turn out to be a good bit longer than I'd imagined, but hopefully it's still moving along without bogging down in dialogue too much. There are just so many things I want to hear these characters say to one another, and that takes time when there are this many.

Man, just checked out her wallpapers and pics. She has many pics I've never seen, including a nekkid one of our dear SPike from an episode of Buffy. Now to hurry home so I can download the pics to my hard drive. ;D

Nan - I finally got a chance to read the first two chapters of the new story. Very, very good. I find the whole vampire/bloodlines/what kind of bond exists between them topic fascinating, and so often not explored with much depth in fanfic - or on the show for that mater. I hope you'll be treating us to more of your views on some of the aspects of vampiric life and tradition.
I loved the B/S chat about the 'haunted' bed, and, especially, the ending of chapter 2. Are they fogetting Dawn? Is that what's happening? I know I read a fic a long time ago, post Gift, that had only Buffy & Spike remembering Dawn, who disappeared from their lives once the confrontation with Glory was over. I don't remember much else about that story, but the idea that Dawn could be taken out of this world in much the manner she was put in is very intriguing. I may have completely misread your intention here, but that's how I interpreted the last few lines, and Spike's earlier forgetting of Dawn's name.
And then you have the whole vampires uniting with the side of good to fight a mutual menace line going on as well! Woo-hoo!
One simple suggestion I would make before you send anything to hosting sites is to put a brief summary at the beginning. You can say it's a sequel to Old Blood, or that it takes place in that same reality or whatever. But I think a summary, getting the timeframe and setting (if 'YOUR' universe has changed anything about the 'real' Buffyverse) is helpful to readers as they settle in with a new story. (For instance, in my story, I'm quite sure Connor doesn't exist. I just don't need him or want to deal with him, and I'll probably let readers know that when they need to.) I noticed at AAS that one reviewer gave you a continuity error review, and you told her your reasons for using Amanda as you did. That's just the type of thing you could let readers know in a summary. It dosn't have to be very detailed at all, but I still think it helps readers situate themselves before they begin. What season is the story set in? At about what episode does it pick up, etc.?
As with Old Blood, you've completely intrigued me by your opening chapters, and I'm looking forward to more.
Mary still envying your wonderful ability to work quickly

This was such a good episode. Wasn't this the one where Spike comes to LA to get the Ring of Amara from Angel that Oz brought to him at the request of Buffy?
