Hey! I got a cameo in Chapter 24! And I didn't even know I was in Florida! ;D
Unless that wasn't me. Maybe Rob actually knows a real person named Laura. Or maybe he meant the AAS webmistress. Sob!
Oh, well. Even if it wasn't me (and verbose as I am, I probably would be inarticulate if Spike were sweet-talking me that way!), I love the way events in Triangles are unfolding. More! It was most definitely you. Laura. I hope you and Betsy aren't too let down by Spike's dishonesty...but look on the bright side: he saved you from Faith.

I've lost track -- how many of us have appeared in your fiction now? Or shouldn't I be asking that question (in case anybody who hasn't made it yet starts brandishing some of those wet noodles)?

By my count: Rusty, Patti, Diane, Kerrie, Betsy, Laura and one other. I doubt any more cameos will be happening since the story is almost over. Hopefully no faithful reader is hurt if I left them out, but I didn't want to "force" any of them. I'm still working on Chapter 26. The next two will take a while since fighting sequences are very difficult for me to write. I'm much more comfortable in character oriented dialogue, but I'll do the best I can.

You do beautiful dialogue -- every word rings true for these characters -- what they say, how they say it, what they're thinking/feeling. Now if only you can find a way to get paid for it!

Laura, I agree so much with that! Rob writes so well...when I read each chapter of Triangles the characters don't 'jar' - they fit perfectly, the story builds from point to point...and this review is sounding not like what I meant. I think I'll start over. From my favorite fictional hottie and his swirling leather coat, to a visit to heaven that made me cry, to a visually engaging and completely surprising creation of a well-named hurricane, chapter 24 of Triangles was wonderful! Great job, Rob! In chapter 25 - what did I love - well, all of it, but especially the dialogue with Wes and Dawn - now there's a couple with potential, I like it! And the relationship Faith and Spike have, and Angel's understanding of it (he really does!), and Buffy's beautiful speech, which was better than any of season 7. Can't wait for chapter 26, except obviously I'm having to!

Laura, I get paid when people like you read the story and say nice things about it. It's really more than I ever could have hoped for. Chapter 26 is on the way...just a little more tweaking and I'll be ready to let it out.

Can't wait for chapter 26, except obviously I'm having to! Wow. This is lovely. Thank you so much. I've been told by a few people that I make them cry...but not usually in a good way. It's really nice to hear that I was able to move someone in that way. Buffy's speech is everything I've wanted to say since I started this story about who is right and who isn't...and why. It's almost unbearably corny...but it's how I feel, so I wrote it that way. I'm deeply gratified that someone took the time to single out that passage, because it means as much to me as the Heaven sequence in Chapter 24...possibly more. Wesley and Dawn are just exploring their options for the moment...let's see how people react to that idea before I run with it. It just never seemed realistic to me that someone as beautiful and intelligent as Dawn (especially the very strong and confident Dawn in my little universe) wouldn't have any romance in her life. Anyway, thanks very much. More is coming soon.

For those of you who drop by, more chapters are coming soon. We're coming close to the end now.
Thanks to everyone for sticking with me thus far.

Rob & all you fan-fic writers:
I am woefully behind in my reading and getting some feedback to you. Just have been overwhelmed with other stuff of late. I miss reading it and will get back to it . . and to you.
Keep up the contributions, even if it does put me more and more behind . . .

Thanks for giving us something that resonates with us... Rob - you are great with the action. I like the way the last chapter ended. Your characterizations are good too. Faith and Spike are especially good. You've also done well with the pair-offs, also. I have no objection to Cordy & Angel at all. The only problem I had with their pairing, to the extent that I saw it on AtS, was that Cordy had changed so much and wasn't' the Cordy I knew and loved. Otherwise - with a Cordy who is strong and straightforward and a more mature version of her HS self, I like it. Also, wasn't sure Faith & Xander would work at first, but you have made it very convincing and fun. And Buffy & Spike . . . how'd you ever come up with putting those two together? Genuis! How many more chapters do you imagine you will have in this story? Will you take a break then, or go straight into another story?

OK Rob - read your Chapter 28. Again, I must agree with Vlad on how you have grown as a writer. Kudos. Good chapter, but I must say - please make Spike pretty again. I mean, talk about your tragedies! Thank you. I'm glad you liked it. As far as Spike goes...I'll see what I can do. ;D

You have no idea how much I appreciate your feelings about my Spike characterization. He is very difficult for me to write comfortably. There are a total of 30 chapters. As far as continuing with another story...it depends on whether I come up something good. We'll see, I guess.

I have thoroughly been engrossed in this story since the beginning and I love your characterization of Spike. About broke my heart and brought tears to my eyes when Inge was beating the shit out of him and broke his back . . . but he got his by taking a chunk out of her leg ;D The last 2 chapters were action packed and I could see the fight scenes in my mind and felt every punch and crack of bone. Good job, just doesn't express it enough . . . and am now at a loss for words as to how much I've thoroughly enjoyed this story. One fact though, when totally complete, it's getting printed off and put in my binder of stories I'll keep for re-reading.
