There is definitely no shame in some crispy edges to your lasagna, but not cooking your lasagna noodles prior to baking the lasagna??? I would never do that. Why? Because it's wrong! (also, doesn't come out right, that starch isn't meant to go into the sauce). I know they make sauces and there are Americanified recipes that allow for this but . . . no, no, no, no, no. Or as my mamma would say "Dio mio! No!" ROB: You done good. Buffy was a bad girl not cooking the noodles first - (whispering: The fact that Patti has done it before kinda proves the point, if you know what I'm saying.)Thank you. Poor Buffy--she really was trying, you know. For the record, I couldn't cook to save my life. When I want lasagna, I go with Stouffer's. Unless it's payday. Then I'd go to the Spaghetti Warehouse in Ybor City. It's an hour away, but their Italian is the bomb. First one I ever went to was in Houston, as a matter of fact. I'd be willing to bet Patti has been to a Spaghetti Warehouse.

Spring, you are so funny! Evil, but funny! Just laughing.......so hard....!!! And... I am NOT bad. Buffy and I both just happen to enjoy noodles hard. You can ask Spike. ;D

It's the original Spaghetti Warehouse, and yes, I've been there many times. I hope that was the one, cause that would be just so cool. Or if it was at the Galleria, I've been to that one too. And I was trying with the lasagna too. (shut up, Spring!) BTW, I now make fantastic lasagna. Even Spring would drool. Although, from what I've heard, that's fairly common for her.... Back to "Trust'. Am loving this new story, the possibilities are exciting, on several levels.

Italians believe in firm noodles (officially known as "al dente" noodles, which means you can feel the firmness with your teeth). Per favore! Italy is the LAND of firm noodles. They scoff at limp noodles. But when you are talking about wanting noodles so hard that there are crispy edges . . . does Spike know about that preference too? Yikes. Anyhow . . . there are Spaghetti Warehouses in Ohio too, and I have been to one in the big city a few times. They are pretty good. I have yet to DROOL at any of them. I do drool, but never sitting up. ROB: Keep up the good work. I know you appreciate the high level of discourse your work is generating! Seriously - you sent out a teaser on the main board about "remembering what I said" about massage oil, so now, I am very curious . . .

Warm sourdough bread with garlic butter...heaven.

Next thing you know I'll write something regarding interior decorating. THAT oughta get people's attention. As far as the teaser goes, let me say this: sex is going to be a major part of this story. Triangles had some of that sort of content, but never on the level that I plan to touch on here (no pun intended).

Rob - another good effort. The Xander/Faith relationship is shaping up nicely. Though I think it is an interesting pairing (and fits both characters), I am sort of trying to steel myself in regard to Dawn getting sexual. It is hard not to think of her as a baby.
I like the possibilities in bringing back the Gem, and can't wait to see what you do with it.
Also, I am overcome with an urge to smack someone's butt . . . must go look for victim . . . .
PS> Take a look at my latest analysis when you get a chance . . . I am curious about what you think about my Xander musings.

Rob, You just keep gettin' better and better, honey. Loved the Trading Spaces reference. Made me think of Buffy talking about how many times she trashed her house and how did her mom ever pay for it--guess that gallery did really well, demons probably buy a lot of art. ;D

Thank you. I'm still hard at work on Chapter 4. Trying to get my plot ducks in a row. Hopefully I'll have something ready by the end of this weekend.

Nice job again, Rob. Particularly good Spike characterization in his guilty reaction and problems dealing with the Gem's return.
Still wincing my way through the idea of Dawn doing the grown woman thing - you've done it well though, and the pairing is perfect. It's just . . . it's little Dawnie for God's sake.
Having said that, I am still eagerly anticipating where you are going with that part of the story, which says a lot about how well you are handling a touchy plot line. Kudos.

Oh Rob! I love the ending! What an imagination you have. I can't imagine where you are going with this.
Also, whew - you are getting good with the spices.

Rob - another good effort.
You write a very good Dru, and that can't be easy. I can just picture her as I read.
I liked the way Angel and Wes related to each other also, and the way it played off the earlier Spike/Xander interaction.
I can't wait to see what happens!

Rob, there are so many things I like about this latest story and latest chapter. I love everyone's reaction to the news about Drusilla, and how Buffy leaves - it seems so real. I love that scene between Wesley and Angel, and the letter from Lilah is perfect. It sounds just like there. She's sooooo evil!
I love the little scene between Faith and Buffy about Dracula - you have a real gift for throwing in just the touch of humor where needed, or just the shocking serious point that hits against the humor.
And I ADORE the ''fight' between Xander and Willow. That is the funniest thing I've read in a long time. Stupidhead!
The scene between Lilah and Dru is wonderful.
Thanks Rob, Just...keep writing!
