Thanks, Nicki. Sorry I had Dru almost choke you to death. It's tough being Lilah's personal assistant, isn't it? Guess I need to keep a cross and stake handy, huh? And maybe an axe for Lilah. P.S. Since I work for Lilah, does that mean I'm evil? If I am evil, I think I'll kill Lilah and Dawn and steal Wesley. ;D

If I am evil, I think I'll kill Lilah and Dawn and steal Wesley. ;D I'll have to check the records...hang on.... Ok, I've looked into your standard perpetuity clause, Nicki, and it says you are only 62% evil. Unfortunately, that makes you ineligible in the ever-intensifying race to steal Dawn's man. You do qualify for the occasional lascivious look and buttocks pinch, however, so feel free to indulge yourself whenever he visits the offices of W & H. Just make sure neither Lilah nor Dawn are watching when you grope him. That would be hazardous to your future employment prospects - not to mention your short-term health.

Rob:
Just a note to say I finally got caught up with your story (I was three chapters behind!) and am still enjoying it.
The Andrew/Spike cookout stuff was especially funny - very clever and well done (the Cumin, etc - too good). Really had me laughing and smiling.
The Dawn grows up thing still freaking me a bit, but you are handling it so well that I am drawn to it, so good going!

Rob:
Read your latest chapter and I love the ending! Can't wait to see what's going to happen after Buffy busts down that door.

Thanks so much for your responses. I had a lot of fun writing the last sequences of that chapter. Now, how can I possibly save Wesley from serious harm? That is the burning question at the moment. Well, actually I've already addressed that. I've written about half of Chapter 13 already...but I'm not telling. Spring, I know it's tough to see Dawn in a sexual situation...but in this particular world, it's important to remember that she's a 19-year old woman on the verge of becoming a college sophomore. Dawn barely got so much as a kiss on the actual show, and I thought it rather unrealistic. I figured I would try to give someone as intelligent and attractive as Dawn a more believable love life. If anything, her sexual development was stunted on the show because so many other plotlines were addressed in the last season. The territory was just too fertile for me to leave it there. Plus...Dawn and Wes have an interesting chemistry. To me, at least. As always, thanks for taking the time. More coming soon.

I feel sorry for Wesley. When Buffy gets through with him, he'll need new glasses and maybe a new head!!

But it is hard to stop thinking of her as Season 5 "Dawnie." You are handling it very well so I am making the transition. Slowly.

I thought I was too young to be ma'am-ed. Seriously, though...if you've ever had the urge to write more fiction, go with it. (the above strikes me as rather pompous, when actually i was going for supportive. damn.)

Awesome job, Rob! Thank you. More coming pretty soon...if I ever get myself motivated. Between Christmas shopping and work, I find myself kinda tired lately. I'll probably have the next one ready to go sometime this week, though.
