Rob: Some very clever dialogue between Spike and Angel - nicely done scenes with those two.
About the ending . . . I have been looking forward to our next Faith & Xander scene, and now I can't imagine what it is going to be like. I'm thinking I wouldn't be too happy with this news, if I was Faith. Some things a wife thinks of as her territory only, you know?

There's a good deal more to go here, obviously. Hoping to have Chapter 22 ready to roll out by midweek, but we'll see how things go.

Rob, sorry I haven't commented before now, but I've been suffering with computer related migraines, so I haven't been able to do any reading (on my computer). Also, I've had a new PC and have only just set up my new printer. So over the weekend I printed off your two latest chapter's and dedicated some time to reading them. Rob, I am loving this story so much. The way you write the character's comes across just right. They "sound right" in my head when I am reading the story. Xander is the Xander that I know and love and the same can be said for every other character. Faith and Spike's reaction to the news about Willow's baby was exactly how I would expect them to react. It was great to see Giles again. I've really missed him. The news that he came with was a shock. I so didn't expect that! Wesley and Dawn's relationship works well, too. I didn't think that it would when you first put them together, but it works incredibly well. I am intrigued to find out where you will go with this story next. The twists and turns have me hooked and I can't wait until the next chapter. So hurry up and get well, so I can get my Rob fix! Cal

Those are extremely painful. I'm slowly getting better, thanks. Chapter 23 is partially written...I'd expect to see it by the end of the week, barring unforeseen events. I'm very glad you liked the last two chapters. Pretty much the key to everything appears in those two parts...hopefully I can continue to advance the story. I have lofty ideas with this one; thematically it's far more advanced than anything else I have tried. Therefore it'll be pretty cool...or it'll stink on an epic scale. Thanks so much for the feedback.

Well, Rob - now I'm all caught up with both Nan and you!
I'm happy 'cuz I've gotten to read some great stuff and I'm bummed 'cuz now I am in the same boat as everyone else - waiting for updates!
Trust is amazing so far! The plot twists are great - this latest bit with Willow's pregnancy just took me so by surprise, but at the same time you made it so logical. Looking back at past episodes and your previous stories, and with the explanation you've just presented, it all falls into place.
I still am slightly living in "First fear" though. Each new dream or appearance has me momentarily wondering - "but what if they are wrong - what if these aren't really Tara or Joyce or Giles!". Except that the advice is just so "not the First" - stick together, your friends and family are your strength, etc.
Really loving your characterizations and voices.

I'm very glad you like it. I won't comment as to what's happening next...but I can promise you this much: the First will have nothing to do with it. Hopefully that'll ease your mind a little. Still at work on Chapter 23. I'll try to have it ready soon.

BTW, I sent you an IM. Sorry, Laura...these chapters might seem short, but they take me hours and hours. It's one of those things where I could write super-long chapters...or have material out there a little faster in short spurts. I try to find a balance between the two...but sometimes I struggle to find a good place to end a chapter. Perhaps I've become addicted to the so-called "suspenseful ending. Anyway, I'm glad you liked it.

Love to you as well. Thanks so much for commenting...and I hope you have a nice holiday. Twenty Three is sheer brilliance. The unexpected entrances are SO Buffy that I could actually SEE their performances. That bustard has NO idea what he's dealing with. Diane *still grinning Thanks very much. I enjoyed writing that little sequence as well, though it's a bit of a cliche. More to come soon, I hope.

That is what I was thinking too - each new entrance and changing who is winning - very funny. I like how much detail you put into creating the original characters, too. Jimmy Royal/Jaime Rosenbloom isn't just tossed out there as a stock bad guy to be defeated, he is given a background and purpose for his actions. Lola
