Dude--what made you think getting the numbers from a crazy guy was a good idea? No wonder he figured it was the numbers causing the curse, not the money. OK, so Hurley spent some time in a mental hospital. Sawyer reading "A Wrinkle in Time"; yet another book about a power-mad being controlling the actions of the people around him (IT of CENTRAL Central Intelligence). Hurley owned stock in the box company where Locke worked. The numbers came from a far-off transmission in French. Curiouser and curiouser.

And the numbers are from the French lady. Well, I knew that part... 'cept now she's telling us that her ship picked it up too so that means the numbers are actually from the island. Now THAT is interesting. Hurley is going to get a complex. Now he's going to think he's the reason everyone is on the island.

Locke's making a crib! Now, the question is--is it the crib she saw in her nightmare? ETA: Okay, it's a cradle. But I was damn close.

Does anyone remember which episode Hurley and Walt played backgammon? I want to figure out what Hurley said about winning... I have a feeling he played it in the mental hospital.

Yup. And I'm sure you noticed that his lottery numbers were exactly the same as those written on the piece of paper he was holding. Moreover, the second and third numbers were 8 and 15--815 was both the castaway's flight number and the number of the safety deposit box Kate was so eager to get her hands on. GREAT catch!!!

"Sam Toomey in the town where he used to work--in Australia." Wasn't that the guy Kate stayed with? Edit: dead for 4 years? so not? I THOUGHT that was the name!! So what's with THAT! He left his wife to protect her - I can see that, but how do you fake blowing your head off with a shotgun.

Nope, not good. Wrong guy. But the name sounded very familiar to me too.
