(And, um, Claire? The baby will deliver itself, most of the time. Quit being so wussy.) Ah, Rach...you really should've gone into obstetrics. Expectant mothers would love you.

Ah, Rach...you really should've gone into obstetrics. Expectant mothers would love you. Well, I was dead tired of listening to Claire and Kate whimper about needing help. I guess I understand it, but...frankly, someone was DYING elsewhere, so grow the hell up. You had the sex, now you have the baby. And Kate..."I can't deliver this baby!" Well, you're not gonna. Claire is. You're gonna receive. If anything actually went wrong, they were all screwed without a real doctor or midwife, anyway.

Just read a tidbit that apparently, Ian Somerhalder was NOT pleased about his character dying...

Clear his nose and mouth, contractions 60 seconds apart, push harder when the crown of the head is exposed? I didn't hear any of that stuff. Luckily the baby popped out with all passages clear. I was slightly bugged that Charlie allowed himself to be held back by Jin, though. Are there no Lamaze classes in Korea?

Another tidbit (not really adding a lot to the discussion tonight, sorry!) before bed:
The guy who played Jack's best man: Scut Farkus from "A Christmas Story."
No, seriously.

Thus showing Jack that he should be less of an asshole, and... Does that determine Rh status, though? I know you can do A, B, O compatability that way, but I'm unsure of Rh status. yep, as the Rh factor is just another surface protein, like the A and B proteins. You can't really tell what your donor is, precisely, without multiple tests and some known samples, but compatibillity is determined by the blood pretty much not immediately turning to pudding when you mix it: Huh.... though if you mix Rh- blood with Rh+ blood, you are gonna (in this view) get a clotting reaction, from the negative blood reacting to the surface proteins on the positive blood, but Rh negative blood can be recieved by Rh positive people without causing clotting... which means that I am apparently talking out of my arse here, and you CAN'T reliably determine Rh compatibillity that way. Dammit. Huh.. but O blood donated to A and B patients does not clot in reacting to the surface proteins it encounters... huh.. Well hmm. Only one thing to do. My mom's O+, my best friends are O-. I need to break out the hypodermics, in the interest of science, and do some experimenting!! Or, maybe, ya know, I could just read some more on the subject...

So I wonder what went horribly wrong with the marriage? Or is he actually still married and is just stringing poor Sawyer Kate along? Lola The wedding clearly occurred prior to Jack's father operating while drunk. As far as the marriage collapsing, that wasn't Jack's fault. See, the bride met this lawyer who owned a bowling alley...

And now she's moved on to someone else new! (Which would make more sense if I could remember the preview I saw her in. )

Is there anyone here who, even remotely, thinks Boone might at some point in the future cease to be dead?

With regard to numbers:
The bride was wearing a t-shirt with "44" on the back. Is that one of the "significant" numbers (sorry I haven't paid close enough attention.)

Wasn't it 42 that was one of the numbers? I have a feeling the writers are just trying to drive us crazy with all these different numbers now...

Mutant spawn arrives - Boones leaves. Seems a more than fair trade. Call me evil, (you're evil!), but ever since we heard that a major character would kick it, I've been hoping it would be Boone. I have felt it would be Boone - simply because we haven't become emotionally invested in his arc yet. Just the sleeping with my stepsister ep - I just felt he was going to be the sacrificial lamb. But still - wow with the almost amputation and they totally had me thinking Jack was going to dump his bride at the altar. So what happened to Mrs. Jack? I haven't noticed a wedding ring on his finger. Loved Charlie and Jin hugging after the baby was born - Jin had such a huge sweet grin on his face. Spring- Prince Harry - snort, snicker, rolling on the floor. Hee, hee. Powerful episode.
