Ok - had to rewatch this morning because I was so wiped out last night I kept dozing off.
So:
Loved:
"sitrap" Yo, homies! New wordage. ;D I'm going to use that on the kids when they call from school this fall. "Hello guys. Sitrap, please."
Well, that doesn't sound quite so cool. ;D
Holy crap on the dream that Baltar had. Put in his head by that bitca cylon Six, right? Altho, I do see that Adama might take that route.
So, we have 2 Cylon babies in the future? And the way Kara and Helo were cozying up - maybe 3 (nah - that would be too weird)?
Speaking of Kara - interesting that she was an artist - and her dad a musician. Puts a different spin on her character. Loved when they took off in the Hummer.
I'm suspicious of Dualla's sudden change of heart with what's his name. That hole in her head kind of scares me.
Toaster cylons are creepy.

Well, that doesn't sound quite so cool. ;D Holy crap on the dream that Baltar had. Put in his head by that bitca cylon Six, right? Altho, I do see that Adama might take that route. Very holy crap moment! It's also making me want to see what the baby looks like. Is it just a human looking baby? I mean, Six and the other human-like cylons really just look human. What is the cylon part of them? Could you look at the baby and know? Is it just that their "brains" are more like computer things? It's making me really start to think about what it means to be a human-looking cylon. Very interesting spin on our knowledge of her. Not at all what I would have thought and yet, once we learned it, it just seemed right, you know? Oooh, I hadn't thought of that. I mean, I was just putting it all down to injury and shock. But . . . Oooooh. Possibilities, eh? Very. Very. Very scary. When the final one jumpe at/over Apollo as he shot it . . . . eeeeeeeeep! It's the way they move and the claw things and the speed and the eye-moving no-expression non-stop killing machine thing. Well. Putting it like that, I guess it's not surprising they're scary. ;D

Loved the bg story (being an artist and all) lol. Loved Apollo vs the tin cans. Especially loved Apollo vs. the tin cans. That sequence of him blowing away the tin can which then flew over the top of him and went rattling down the corridor was just the best. Anyway, will be rewatching hopefully tonight to do the review.

While I've enjoyed the new BSG, and the idea of making the Cylons look human adds to the paranoia, it was great to see the "Toasters" in battle. Not just as a nod to the origins of the series, but also in that they make very effective and scary enemies.
An excellent episode.

Not just as a nod to the origins of the series, but also in that they make very effective and scary enemies. An excellent episode. Why? I'm honestly wondering, because if so many people whose opinion I admire thought it was really good, then I seem to be having a disconnect. The only part I thought was excellently done was the part you mention - the battle with the Cylons...there was lots of suspense, held breath, very much the "scary things hiding in the dark" feeling. As for the rest: they seem bogged down with too many storylines, to me. Each one seems to advance only a teensy bit every episode, which...well, I'm starting to have a LOST level of frustration over it. I don't think they're bad episodes...but I'm not thinking they're good, either.

The different storylines are tied together a lot of ways all being hunted by centurions at once dealing with urgent medical issues father issues baby issues everyone changing places, being out of their usual milieau, out of their depth and the disconnection and fragmentation as an issue watching first season I got really bored and frustrated with the Helo sections because I couldn't see how they were relevant to anything else. RE watching first season I love them because I know what they are building towards. So the show has earned a lot more rope before I start worrying.

I'd add the growing menace and possibilities of "they have a plan" - the continual reveal of the ways that the cylons and humans are intertwined. More than the humans know. And more than, perhaps, some of the cylons want to know.

Another fine job of picking out the theme – this time the idea that things are falling apart. Or more specifically, that the group is falling apart, the people are falling apart. Apart as in separating into factions and apart as in mentally slipping. Tigh, Baltar, (as you point out, neither one of them is capable of really leading), the scattered humans on ships and on Kobol and Caprica, the government, the military. They’re all splintering – right at a time when they need to pull together the most.
Perhaps we really do see the Cylon plan already. Or at least part of if.
How true that learning this additional information about Starbuck makes so much sense. It felt so right to see her place and hear about her background and life. It all clicked – we watched and went “ah-ha!”.
Good comparisons to Alien and Terminator – I can really see what you mean about these having the same . . . mood or theme. And also eetah your “wow” for Apollo’s
“When he wakes up, he’ll decide what to do with both of us” was the perfect quote to use to sum up the whole mess with Apollo and Tigh and I really really eetah and give you props for the point about Baltar. He is turning fully into the bad guy, not just the weasel. I’m really seeing this in tonight’s ep – “Resistance”.
Good job, havoc!
