I love it that the dude brings the tea tray! I worked at so many places in the UK where there was a tea lady who came around every so often. I had terrible trouble telling an elderly woman what to bring me for my drink! And then other places I worked where I was expected to bring the drinks! Oy, vey!

Holy crapola! Where did that gun lesson come from?! From the way it was played, I'm thinking it was lifted from the best-selling book The Joy of Gunsex.

Thoughts HERE would be good, too! Especially since we seem to be functional more often than LJ.

So, am I alone in thinking that Gwen saw the ghost of her relationship and it's destined not to last? Makes me kinda sad.
What an ending! As it happens, try as you might, fate takes a hand and things turn out as they were destined? Kinda bleak yet liberating at the same time. Which is weird, I know, but it frees us from having to take responsibility if everything is pre-destined.

"So Jack could be seen as going right up to the line of acceptable behaviour, or possibly just the wrong side of it. I mean, pretend he doesn't look like that, pretend he's spotty and overweight and the worst boss you ever had... suddenly it seems rather less cool." Exactly. You raise a good point. This type of lesson would be unacceptable in the real world in this day and age, for many people. But, as always, it would depend on the attitudes of the people involved. Like, is Jack using his position to get close to Gwen and force her to behave in a way or do things that would be problematic for her, and insinuating that she'd better or lose her job? Or is he just copping a feel and hoping at worst she doesn't complain, and at best that she's also interested? Is Gwen feeling pressured to "put out so she can keep her job"? Or, is she contemplating a possible relationship or dalliance with Jack due to his excessive hotness? I thought she looked uncomfortable for a bit, but that could be due to either of those scenarios.

Really? I didn't see discomfort, per se. I think that yes, in a real world scenario, way out of line. In a television scenario...completely expected.

What a sweet, sad story from this guy.
So, the device gives you a flash back in time.
I can see you. The way you really are.
Human emotion is energy.
Since when do we care about court?
Gwen learns to shoot a gun. I thought she would know this already, being a cop.
Jack lives in the batcave. And he doesn't sleep.
21st century is when everything changes. And he's not just saying that; he actually knows.
Oh, this is the guy who raped and killed Lizzie.
Nice camera work in this scene.
Ah, two halves of the machine. One side gives flashes of the past and the other flashes of the future.
So Gwen ended up killing whats-his-name and not whats-his-name.
Problem with seeing the future is that you can't just look at it.
All those people, all that energy, all those ghosts. We're surrounded by them. We can't see them, we can't touch them, but they're there all right... we've just got to learn to live with them.
