Hello all my dear S'cubies, Newbies, and all others who defy definition
Normally I do not post a NERD ALERT! when our show is in reruns, but this is Thanksgiving week. So exception is made.
Your assignment, if you choose to accept it, is to tell us what you are Thankful for. Y'know what? I'm not putting ANY limits. If you're grateful for it, tell us about it. Doesn't have to be BTVS/ATS related. Can be off-topic. No limits except courtesy to the unspoiled among us.
As usual, I'll start.

Thank you, Powers, entities, gods, goddesses or who/whatever else may be in charge for (in no particular order) ...
1. My children 2. My grandchildren 3. My husband 4. My friends 5. My health 6. My house 7. My job 8. My cat 9. My life 10. My talents 11. My interests 12. The fun in my life.
And, of course, the good luck and insight to recognize and be grateful for the ability to know how precious all of these things are.
Blessings to all.

I'm thankful for:
1. my parents & the fact that they did the best they could 2. this beautiful earth we live on & the fact that I can see it 3. crisp, clean mountain air & the people who went to the effort to protect those areas 4. my RW friends & the way they let me blow off steam or cry on their shoulders when I need to 5. my S'cubie friends & the fact that they kindly overlook my faulty memory of BtVS & AtS episodes 6. my job, even though it's not my dream job, I'm glad I've got one 7. my home, it may be small, but it's so much more than the majority of the world has 8. most of all, God, the One who made me in a way that I can appreciate all of the above.

First, I'm thankful I stumbled upon this place and have received such a warm welcome.
In my 3D life:
1. My kids, who are noisy and take a lot of grocery money to keep on the road, especially the big bearded one, but are otherwise much nicer humans than most 15 year old females and 17 yer old males.
2. My husband, when he tries to overcome the limits of being an only preachers kid.
3. My five year old nephew, who provides immense amusement value, when he isn't scaring the heck out of everyone putting his hand in machinery, and who thereby taught me this year the three worst words on the planet, "Airlifted to Harborview".
4. My sister who is the only other person who understands just how deeply absurd is our day-to-day situation.
5. The chickadees that cling to my windowscreen and chide me when the suet box is empty.
6. Long John Silver, Ghislaine de Feligonde, Stanwell Perpetual, Sally Holmes, Darlow's Enigma, Rose de Rescht, and especially for its sweetness, the damask Ispahan.
7. That so many troups are deployed from Ft. Lewis that it's been weeks since I've had major artillary bombardments, with prayers that they will all come home safe and whole to shake my world soon.
8. Better living through chemistry and relatively low copayments for the fruit salad of pills that keep my blood glucose and pressure down and my brain moving in one direction at a time.
9. The good things my parents did, and the strength to forgive them for the mistakes they made.
10. Oak trees, apple trees, the Nisqually Delta, swans on the Skagit, Mt Rainier, and all the topography of home sweet home.

People/things I'm thankful for:
My mom (even tho' she makes me crazy) - she doesn't always understand me, but I know she always loves me.
My RL friends - the few, the proud, the insane.
My S'cubie friends - finding your people is one of the best things in the world. One of the hardest, too, for a misfit like me.
The beauty of nature - California is one of the most beautiful and diverse places in the world. Much as I'd like to see the rest of the world, my heart and home is here.
Graduation - less than a month away!
Perspective - being able to see things in a whole new light.
