Okay, I promised, so here I proceed;
Faithful to scamper through gem and through weed,
Trying to find your Spike-d postings in rhyme,
Where can I get me "a manly good time"?
I like your effusions; they're clever and witty,
But this is the Scubies, not "Sex in the City"!
So Jayne is a hunk with a fabulous torso;
What happened to "Spike is the best, only more so"?
La Barba dear, I think I like this new game,
Your efforts amusing, I'm so glad I came;
Oh dear! all these rhymes to beleaguer my head,
So how can I toddle my way off to bed?
[Weeds? What weeds?

JO!!!!!! {{JO}}
Jo, I'm so glad you have visited me!
You, of all sisters, understand and can see
The need to express admiration in rhyme
Glad you don't feel that you wasted your time!
Jayne is so fine, that much is true
Spike is still someone I'd like to do
Sure, no rhyme about Spike has been made
Right now I will fix that, a debt then repaid. ;D
"Who do you kill for fun around here?"
Was one of the first things we hear him say
He brought Drusilla, his love, and a seer
To Sunnydale where her Sire would pay
His love for Dru caused a deal to be made
With the Slayer, of all people, he sought her out
He'd help stop Angelus, a small debt he paid
To help keep the world and Dru safe, in a rout
Because of this deal, Dru pushed him away
She saw The Slayer and knew they were done
Spike was angry that she would betray
Him with a Chaos Demon, a slimy-antlered one.
As much as he tried, Dru didn't come back
He went back to Sunnydale where fate had struck
He found a pretty vamp girl, to have in the sack
Though she was called Harmony, that was just luck
That was the year the Initiative took him
Gave him a chip, installed in his head
No longer could he kill for himself on a whim
And tried a few times to stake himself dead.
Next year he found himself thinking of Her
Invading his dreams, She conquered his heart
Even when Dru came back, he still would prefer
His golden haired Slayer, so Dru did depart
Since he couldn't have her, the Slayer of his dreams,
He had a 'bot made, for all his desire
Because of her, Glory would rip through his seams
But he wouldn't budge, though in pain like fire.
While he recovered himself in his crypt
Buffy would visit attired like his 'bot
Needing to know if his tongue had slipped
Finding the secret intact, that's what.
Cautiously friendly they now seemed to be,
The Slayer, The Witches, Giles, and Xander
Helping them, even though no soul had he
That is a an amazing thing to wonder
A Promise to a Lady, he made, and then broke
Though the fault wasn't his, he blamed himself nightly
Staying with Dawn, he protected her, no joke
And those two didn't bring Buffy back, wrongly or rightly.
Buffy's return brought a change in her
Torn out of Heaven, she couldn't tell them
How much she didn't want to be where they were
She told Spike everything, stern to stem.
They began an affair, one Buffy wanted secret
At first he didn't mind, as long as they'd meet
But when she tried to embarrass him, he'd get
Angry and throw her out into the street
Riley came back with his damned "perfect" wife
Showing Buff everything she didn't have
Finally she got caught, her bad secret life
She broke it off, leaving Spike wounds to lave.
Spike found some solace in Anya's embrace
Brief though it was, the results reached far
Xander tried to kill him, and Buffy would race
To save Spike, though her rep he would mar.
Dawn went to see Spike, so hurt was Buffy, said she
Seeing him with someone else really stung
So Spike came to visit, to try and make her see
That his love was as real as he'd before sung
He took it too far, in her bathroom that day
He tore at her robe, desperate and sad
"I'll make you feel it," he pushed where she lay
Defeated, later wondered why felt so bad
Then he had a mission, across the Big Blue
Through tortures and fights, and things we don't know
Giving Buffy what she deserves was his due
A soul he received, his face and eyes would glow
How he got back, we just may never know
Under the school's where he stayed and cried
Buffy then found him, he'd nowhere to go
And as she discovered, his soul was inside
It was she who believed in him, after all this
She who chose him to champion her cause
Even when Angel showed up like she's his
She said she loved Spike, flamed hands gave no pause
Spike was brought back by an amulet sent
To Angel, at Wolfram and Hart, and he
Was not corporeal, but he could vent
And talk, and flirt, and smile, and be
It took a long time for Angel to see
That Spike wasn't evil, he was for real
The Prophecy Angel was sure was for he
Was made uncertain when Spike got corporeal
Both vamps eventually joined in a team.
Fighting the evil the way that they can
They looked for Buffy, her love to redeem
Found that she was with a different man.
Spike stayed with Angel, though he wasn't in
On Angel's idea to get in the Black Thorn
He volunteered for the fight at the end
Got back the baby the demons wanted born
In the end there was an army to fight
A dragon above, and numbers so great
Spike never left, though the odds weren't quite right
He knew he'd go out in a fight, damn straight!
Spike wasn't perfect, but good in a fight
He made a good go of it, we all can see
Finally did right things because they were right
And not just for a lady, Dawn or Buffy.
