1) HOW DID YOU FIND THE SOULFUL SPIKE SOCIETY? I posted in the Buffy Newsgroup and a person who shared an interest in Spike with me was also posting on SCOOPME and she told me to come check out the SOULFUL SPIKE SOCIETY thread at Scoopme. So I eventually did.
2) WHERE DID YOU POST BEFORE JOINING THE S3 AND DO YOU STILL POST THERE? IF NOT, WHY? I occasionally posted at Forum For Fans - James Marsters., No- I soon spent all my posting time here. I don't think I've even checked for that site in almost a year.
3) WHAT DO/DID YOU WANT TO FIND HERE? a place to talk about Buffy and specifically Spike and James Marsters.
now I want it as a place to continue to discuss everything Joss Whedon created/creates and to meet/share with those who have become my friends online.

1) HOW DID YOU FIND THE SOULFUL SPIKE SOCIETY? Linked from Slayage to Nan's review, found out I could post as a guest, then liked the quality of the discourse so much I joined.
2) WHERE DID YOU POST BEFORE JOINING THE S3 AND DO YOU STILL POST THERE? IF NOT, WHY? I'd not posted on any Jossverse boards before, but had been active, over the years, on Trek and SF boards on Prodigy and AOL, and various ADHD, Parenting, Education and especially Gardening boards on Prodigy, About, and AOL.
I hadn't posted anywhere in about a year when I first posted here, and had pretty much stopped writing anything at all, including emails and instant messages.
3) WHAT DID/DO YOU WANT TO FIND HERE? A place to piffle with friends when that's what I need, but also, and perhaps more importantly, to read and write incisive and well written discussion of the Jossverse and intellectual and ethical issues raised by the stories from Buffy, Angel and Firefly.
A place where people respect each other, and the English language.
Julia, 's awright?

(I keep hearing the Talking Heads every time I read the subject line) 1) HOW DID YOU FIND THE SOULFUL SPIKE SOCIETY? I was a poster on the Buffy and Angel episode boards of ScoopMe. When it was apparent ScoopMe was calling it quits, Lee Hollins told me about the S3, said a lot of SccopMe-ers were there, and invited me to join. 2) WHERE DID YOU POST BEFORE JOINING THE S3 AND DO YOU STILL POST THERE? IF NOT, WHY? ScoopMe was the first and only one besides here. I no longer post there, since it no longer exists. 3) WHAT DID/DO YOU WANT TO FIND HERE? I really enjoyed discussing the Jossverse with smart, opinionated people (only one of my RL friends watches Joss shows), and the ScoopMe provided that in spades. When it left, I found the same here at the S3, minus the level of sniping that sometimes occurred on the episode boards there.

1)HOW DID YOU FIND THE SOULFUL SPIKE SOCIETY?
I stumbled across an analysis of Angel on ScoopMe during S7 of Buffy and S4 of Angel. It made me cry.
Looking around ScoopMe, I found the review for Buffy. It took me a couple of weeks to find the message boards, and I enjoyed reading all the insights of the people posting. When we got the news that Buffy was ending, it became a refuge for me.
I was invited to check out and joing the Soulful Spike Society by Spring who pointed out her AWESOME analyses after I ventured into the posting fray one day. And can you say O.B.S.E.S.S.I.O.N.?
2) WHERE DID YOU POST BEFORE JOINING THE S3 AND DO YOU STILL POST THERE? IF NOT, WHY?
S3 was my third posting site. But the other 2 were unrelated to the Jossverse. I no longer post at either place.
3) WHAT DO/DID YOU WANT TO FIND HERE?
At first it was a place to share my BtVS/Spike love. Then Angel.
Now I love the lively discussions of all the Jossverses - Buffy, Angel, Firefly and future Joss and Co. ventures - and just reaching out to support and for support from my lovely S'cubie friends who are like family to me now.

1) HOW DID YOU FIND THE SOULFUL SPIKE SOCIETY? After belatedly discovering BtVS (as sixth season began, and the daily reruns commenced), I stumbled onto the ScoopMe Buffy board. With others, not caring for the slamming of Spike and all who were fascinated with him, I moved over to the S3 on the ScoopMe Miscellaneous Board. When ScoopMe closed, I moved with most of the rest of the "originals" to this, our new home, discovered and created by Vlad to be our new place. At first, it looked as much like ScoopMe as possible; now it looks like *ours.*
2) WHERE DID YOU POST BEFORE JOINING THE S3 AND DO YOU STILL POST THERE? IF NOT, WHY? As above.
3) WHAT DID/DO YOU WANT TO FIND HERE? I'd never been on a board before ScoopMe and was horrified at the prospect of the discourse ending. A loner, a writer, and an academic, I didn't expect ever to find such warm, witty people anywhere, online or in RL. I wanted to hang onto the comradeship I'd found. So I did.

1) HOW DID YOU FIND THE SOULFUL SPIKE SOCIETY I was lurking at another board and someone linked an article from ScoopMe. I read the article and then found the episode boards. I then stumbled upon the Misc. board where SSS was.
2) WHERE DID YOU POST BEFORE JOINING THE S3 AND DO YOU STILL POST THERE? IF NOT, WHY? I never posted at another board, just lurked. This was the first place I felt comfortable posting.
3) WHAT DID/DO YOU WANT TO FIND HERE? I was absolutely obsessed with Spike's character and was so happy to find others that felt the same way. I also enjoy the general chats and discussions that take place here.

1) HOW?
I was searching for spoilers during the latter half of BtVS S7. This led me to ScoopMe, which led me to the Soulful Spike discussion on that board.
I unlurked when I found out that Nan was the author of some books I love. Everyone was nice and the conversation was good, so I stayed. When the S'cubies moved here with the closing of ScoopMe, I came with.
2) WHERE?
ScoopMe is the only other place I've ever posted anything. It's closed, so I post here.
3) WHAT?
A place to talk about the Jossverse. It's also turned into a virtual circle of friends.
Anne, happy here

1) HOW DID YOU FIND THE SOULFUL SPIKE SOCIETY? I read nan's very thoughtful interview on the last ep of Angel at slayage.com and backtracked in the link until I found here!
2) WHERE DID YOU POST BEFORE JOINING THE S3 AND DO YOU STILL POST THERE? IF NOT, WHY?
No where. Sorry!
3) WHAT DID/DO YOU WANT TO FIND HERE? (for instance your answer might be one of these: ) A place to share my thoughts and insights with other fellow Jossverse-lovers and gain new perspective on said Jossverse. Also a place to share my talents and make new friends!

AM I RIGHT, OR AM I WRONG? (Me too, Erin. ;D) 1) HOW DID YOU FIND THE SOULFUL SPIKE SOCIETY? As a fanfic whore, I ran across Nan's stories(I remembered her name in connection to the Beauty & the Beast fandom): these refferred me back to the Soulful Spike Society webpage, where I read everything available. I wrote to Nan complimenting her on her writing, and she invited me to the message board, citing it as "addicting, but it's also consolation, company, and a LOT of fun!" I lurked until the AtS hiatus ended, and started posting. 2) WHERE DID YOU POST BEFORE JOINING THE S3 AND DO YOU STILL POST THERE? IF NOT, WHY? The most I'd ever posted anywhere was on the FARK forums at Fark.com. I rarely post there now, as this site fulfills all my "community" needs, minus the trolls that one encounters elsewhere. In the Buffyverse fandom, I was a lurker at the Ducksverse, Cross & Stake, and Sparklies, though I think I have four posts between all of them. 3) WHAT DID/DO YOU WANT TO FIND HERE? The continuing spirit of community that I grew to quickly fall in love with at this posting board: As I've babbled before, we came into the Vampire & Slayer Pub because of the common interest: we stay because of the exceptional company and camaraderie. I've found some amazing friendships here, and new avenues to a better understanding of the world I live in. I've also found something I never even considered that I'd find: a mate suited to me in just about every conceivable way.

1) HOW DID YOU FIND THE SOULFUL SPIKE SOCIETY? (be brief and as specific as you can)
Founding member. I was among those regularly posting to the ScoopMe BtVS Episode board who turned to S3 in it's original incarnation: "All Things Spike/JM", on ScoopMe, shortly after it was established.
2) WHERE DID YOU POST BEFORE JOINING THE S3 AND DO YOU STILL POST THERE? IF NOT, WHY?
The (now defunct) ScoopMe Episode board was my first experience of posting on the internet in the BtVS fandom online community. Prior to that I was active on Alt Fan Pratchett; a news board comprising a large community of smart, funnny, creative Terry Pratchett fans. As I became active on ScoopMe I no longer had time for AFP.
3) WHAT DID/DO YOU WANT TO FIND HERE?
1) A safe haven for friendly, free and intelligent discussion on all things Jossverse, including but by no means limited to JM/Spike WITHOUT fear of censure or ridicule, such as was the case on the ScoopMe Episode board.
2) The opportunity to connect with and get to know others who share my passion for BtVS in general and JM/Spike in particular.
3) A forum for discussion among friends on just about any topic. A place in a community of thoughtful, incredibly intelligent, talented, caring, and often funny and/or fun-filled people.

1) HOW DID YOU FIND THE SOULFUL SPIKE SOCIETY?
I linked from Slayage to Nan's reviews of AtS. I read everything on the main website and lurked for a while on the message board, before finally plucking up the courage to join and begin posting myself.
2) WHERE DID YOU POST BEFORE JOINING THE S3 AND DO YOU STILL POST THERE? IF NOT, WHY?
I had only ever posted regularly on one message board before here, but that was unrelated to the Jossverse. The S3 was the first Jossverse message board I ever joined. 3) WHAT DID/DO YOU WANT TO FIND HERE?
I came here primarily to discuss anything Spike/James Marsters. I had become disillusioned by the hatred that was levelled against him at many of the other sites I visited.
I hope that the S3 continues to be the friendly, insightful and intelligent board it was when I first came here. I want to feel able to discuss anything, not just the Jossverse (although that remains as important as ever).
I would like to continue reading and participating in discussions relating to all aspects of the Jossverse, whether that be BtVs, AtS, Firefly or any other venture that Joss becomes involved in.
I also hope that The Soulful Spike Society continues to follow it's namesake (hopefully, there will be more Spike to follow) and to be supportive of James Marsters in his future career.
Above all, I hope to continue my on-line friendship with the people that I have met here. I hope that we can all continue to be supportive of each other. Some of you have become like family to me. I don't ever want to lose you. {{S'cubies}}

1) HOW DID YOU FIND THE SOULFUL SPIKE SOCIETY? (be brief and as specific as you can) I found the S'Cubies through the ScoopMe episode reviews of season 6. I finally figured out the Message board and joined in the S'Cubie discussion of Spike. I have been posting on this message board since Vlad said it was open. (I spotted the swearing problem!) 2) WHERE DID YOU POST BEFORE JOINING THE S3 AND DO YOU STILL POST THERE? IF NOT, WHY? Nowhere. Only the delightfully friendly atmosphere of the S'Cubies could have coaxed me to post. 3) WHAT DID/DO YOU WANT TO FIND HERE? I am mainly looking for insightful discussion of Spike, but I also enjoy the discussions about RL (as well as having a place to unload). I no longer have much time to post here, but I miss my S'Cubie friends and they are still the first people I think of whenever anything noteworthy (or usually very trivial ) happens in my life.
