"Everything is under control." Yeah right (well I suppose it was towards the end, until the very last page) Is Illyria as vulnerable to injury as Fred when she looks like that? (assuming she's just taking on Fred's form that is) It really would be useful for Angel to mention little things like dead team members not actually being dead to others. Do we really have to wait 4 months to see what happens next?! Does "First Night" cover after the first night too? I wanna know how Spike gets his entourage of girls. I'm still requiring 2 or 3 read-throughs before I really follow whats going on (e.g. that we saw Lorne appear to Spike, Illyria and Connor) Info about another special spinoff comic series: Wikipedia says there is going to be a short Spike: After the Fall series

This was my favorite episode yet! The gang is all together! And, Skip is still around! Familiar faces from the show, good plot. Awesome!

I did wonder if she was but I don't want to get my hopes up and be wrong.

"Everything is under control." Yeah. Looks real controlled to me. I love that Wes is still trying to do what he can and still has that lovely snarky sense of humor ("now that I'm aware I'll make sure nothing further happens to the rubble"), especially seeing what tiny amount of wiggle room he has in his current position.

This was my favorite episode yet! The gang is all together! And, Skip is still around! Familiar faces from the show, good plot. Awesome! **nods nods nods** Skip or one of his evil twins siblings or something. Loved how we see each new person coming to the fight. Loved Lorne and his drunken recruiting and "hey, I'm actually all these people, really - no, I'm from another dimension, you don't know that I can't!". Love love love Spike, of course. Illyria: We're not retreating. Spike: It's so much easier if you just tell yourself you're strategically heading in the opposite direction of those that wish to do you harm so that you may mock them at a later time. "Besides, now you owe me. I mean, even more than before." ;D And love Angel too, of course. "Yeah, so can we get to the battle? That would be great." Angel: You're not an innocent dupe tricked into working for an evil overlord, are you? Dinosaur: What the hell - are you? Are you high? Angel: Making sure - ;D Very intrigued by the appearance of Fred. So, I'm thinking Illyria and Fred are splitting back into two beings, yes? But are they gonna have to keep sharing one body, or . . .

(assuming she's just taking on Fred's form that is) I'm thinking she is basically a vulnerable human, because I don't think this is like when she pretended to be Fred for the parental units. This looked more involuntary. And also Spike was concerned and wouldn't have brought her if he had known about Wes. Which seems to indicate vulnerability. Yes indeed. But then, he's always been bad at that kind of thing. Just like Buffy and the scoobies, really. I'm getting more used to the idea of reading a comic once, then once again. Then setting aside and re-reading a few times more a week or so later. And then, I'm gonna follow k8's example and re-read the whole series as a complete "chapter" as it were, while waiting for the next one. 'Cuz I figure the whole world will gel more in my head.

That's what I'm thinking too. That somehow Fred really is still in there and is manifesting. Without that being Illyria's intention.

It's not a new comic series, just an interlude between episodes of Season 6, to explain what happened to everyone immediately after LA got sucked into hell. That includes Illyria.
