"Why is there a dead Pakistani on my couch?" For some reason, that struck me as so frickin' funny. Oh me too.

My fellow geeks, today is a day to hang our heads in shame. How in the HELL did none of us notice that Neil, the heretofore unseen character who landed a speaking role only to be killed, was wearing a RED SHIRT??I kind of love the producers for that.

Part IV I thought Sayid was your friend. He is. He's also got this secret double life where he does these ninja moves and kills people. Hee! Hurley confesses to his mom. Hurley recaps the first 4 seasons. And it does sound crazy when you say it that way. His mom believes him. Wow, what a mom. Hurley wishes they didn't lie. Sawyer's foot got stuck with something. Sawyer and Juliet hiding behind the bushes. This is like when Jin and Eko where observing the Clan of the Teddy Bear. Ah, the DHARMA Initiative folks. So they went back that far. And they have been mistaken for The Others/The Hostiles.

I think Sun and Widmore are behind the demand for blood samples of Kate and Aaron; of course it could also have something to do with Aaron's grandmother-who-came-out-of-the-coma.
G.I thought Sun was very mysterious this episode. That conversation with Kate was all kinds of creepy and I'm starting to wonder if she has joined forces with evil Mr. Widmore. (which would be all kinds of awesome since Sun on the island was the very antithesis of evil) And she was wearing clothes/hair of evil at the airport.

Coda
Sayid's back!
Hot pocket. ;D
Love his reaction to seeing Ben. Hee!
Ben: I'm not an easy person to trust. Ya think?!
If you come with me, you won't ever have to lie again. Ohh. The Island as Never Neverland.
Hurley turns himself in rather than go with Ben. Now I wonder how Ben is going to get Hurley out.
Back on the island. Saved by The Others. Oh, saved by Locke.
Meanwhile, back at the lair. This is Mrs. Hawking/Daniel's mom, isn't it? It looks like a hatch. Or a church. Where Ben has come to pray. Well, as much as his black heart will let him.
Yep, it's Mrs. Hawking. So Ben is taking his orders from her. Hmm.
70 hours. There really does seems to be an urgency to return to the island, even if Ben is manipulating the Losties.

You could put him out.. There's a lot of indians on their trail.. JESUS. What happened? Were they assualting Helm's Deep or something? And back to Dad and Hugo. So "crazy" or "lying" are the only two options? Oh, the original lie. "Why is there a dead pakistani on my couch?" HAH! That line will stick in my memory for a while. Kate and Sun. Ji Yeon is about two now, isn't she? I still think Ben and his people were behind that, and it had no legal basis in fact. Sun thinking similar to the way I'm thinking. "What kind of a person do you think I am?" A mother, obviously. Oh good. Sun doesn't blame Kate specifically. Disturbing tone shift. Does she blame Jack instead? "Stay away from Hugo" oh, Mr. Reyes, you don't know all the badnesses that have been going on. And Benry is happy? to hear this... about Sayid showing up at his door... That's exactly what it was like. Either that, or some other action adventure period film. Maybe Robin Hood.

None of us posting last night seemed to notice it. Not until today when Sara brought it up to me. I love shit like that. One of the reasons I like "Leverage" with its homages to sci fi and other shows.

Vincent will not be killed; and it will be revealed that he's the Force behind it all....
G. Indeed. And when Vincent decides to make his move, watch out! ;D *Nods sagely*

My lj post about Lost: It feels so weird to finally be posting about Lost again. And, as always, I have absolutely no theories about this show as I just watch and enjoy the ride. Things I liked: 1. Ana Lucia showing up to dead talk Hurley. Hee. Libby says hi. Hee. 2. Hurley's parents. I just like them. 3. Daniel Faraday. I like his character. 4. Sawyer with Juliette. I like this pairing and it's potential. 5. The island skittering all over the place. It was kind of cool. 6. Desmond. I love Desmond. I will always love Desmond. 7. Random Eathan showing up to shoot Locke. I was all WTF? 8. Random flaming arrow into chest of loudmouth annoying guy. Hee. 9. Time travel. It's always fun. Confusing but fun. 10. Minimal Jack. My least favorite character. 11. The opening scene which was cool and very Lost like. Loved it. Things I'm scratching my head over: 1. So who wants to know whose baby Aaron really is? 2. Sun's choice of clothing at the airport. That looked like the outfit Nick got booted off of Project Runway for when he was dressing Daniel. (sorry that's just me. She just looked so unSunlike) 3. So I guess redhead gal whose name I don't remember is going to die some gruesome time traveling related death from the tumor that must be growing in her head causing her to forget things? Hey I watch GA, I know it's ALWAYS tumors when you can't remember things. 4. So why exactly does Locke have to die to get the island back to normal? And how did his body get off the island? And so they're just going to keep him on ice at the butcher shop? What about all the deteriorating organs? (Hey I used to watch CSI, I know his body is already rotting if he's dead. And was he embalmed? Is the island going to suck the embalming fluid out of him?) 5. So who exactly are the flaming arrow guys again? Things I hated - Nothing. I love Lost and all it's freaky confusing ways. Welcome back show. I thought that Locke's body must already be embalmed. Of course if it was then Ben wouldn't needs ButcherLady's help, so I dunno.

Both Hurley's mom and pop really came thru tonight, and good for them! Yes both performers did an excellent job and I loved the whole wink/breaking the fourth wall content of the conversation. Hurley and his Mom both saying they didn't understand and the producers using Hurley to tell us to trust them. Hee. Well done all around. Eetah.

I'm wondering if there's a parallel between the Oceanic Six's cover story, despite being full of holes, is much more believable than the plot of the show, and all the bull that Ben has fed the Losties. I wonder whatever is actually going on is so much wackier. I would explain why Ben and The Others simply didn't lead with the truth and gestures of friendship.

Oh yeah. That's tragic, that is. Stupid writers. Although you gotta love how they made the shirtlessness be a running gag throughout the first ep. ;D I really really loved that. ;D As I also loved Hurley's "I ♥ Shih Tzus" t-shirt. ;D And the reappearance of Ana Lucia made me squee. ;D She was looking damn hot in her uniform, too.
