The stuff going on in the present is making me think of Twilight Zone episode, but I can't figure out which one. Like that one with the computer in the cave mixed up with another episode, maybe.

Oh yeah, based on the preview I'd say they're absolutely bound and determined to make me weep during the show next week...

Sun is contemplative. The compass. Setting off on a journey. If there's a way for Sun and Jin to be together again, if there's a way to save the Losties, Locke will find it. Somehow, I don't think he's being straightforward there. He means it, but not in the way it seems. Good call with that. I think mostly I'd be wondering how you know you're exchanging what you know happened for something better? Yes! Love this mirroring. Also? From your comments direct to the writer's ears, I'm thinking. Next ep? I want you to ask "why the fuck don't Sayid and Sawyer both get naked and oiled up together", OK? Yes!

Matthew wants me to tell you that as they approached the plane, I said to him "They're going to smoke heroin until this all makes sense."

"Timing is impeccable. How did you know to be here?" and Ben sounds like Garak. "The Island told me" Whammie! of time-displacement. and it IS a musical compass! Wow. Richard looks freaked-out. that's impressive. Yep. Locke is completely throwing Richard for a loop. Just as much as Ben, I'm thinking, but not always in the same way. ;D Oh my yes. **hears the bow chicka music once again**

Replaying this scene again. Some how I never thought to ask about how Richard new to help Locke the first time we saw this scene. I always just assumed that Richard was tapped into some kind of prescience or mysticism or something. But other than the immortality, he doesn't seem to be anymore enlightened or special than anybody else. He is surprised by lots of stuff, isn't he? Including the idea of time travel, which . . . surprises me. Hasn't this happened on the island before? Well, this is Ben, so I vote for neither one is true. PerplexedBen is a beautiful beautiful thing. This "advisor" role is totally intriguing and confusing me. Sayid will always come to the rescue! He is SuperSayid! ;D

And we see the same scene from a different perspective. I find Kate has a better .. WHERE THE HELL DID THEY GET HORSES?... grip on the situation. And Ellie starts to read the journal, partially believing what he said. Widmore. Looked better back then, by far. And we cut back to two years ago.. Ship in a bottle? Being worked on by Richard. Who still looks the freaking same. "Errand to run" as he shows up at their beach camp with a pig on his shoulders. Sun and a very dejected-looking Ben. "Very very long time" Hah! I find Ben more and more amusing as time goes on. His delivery. "I watched them all die" is not the most... reassuring thing he could have said, now Hee!

THEY SAVED UP THE HORSE STAMPS THEY GOT WITH EVERY POLAR BEAR PURCHASE!! . . . you on that one.MMmmmm. Yes. Yes he does. He is rather adorably pouty. ;D It is not particularly cheerful, is it. But Locke is so sanguine about it all.

Richard looks freaked-out. that's impressive. "What the hell is going on here?" Who ranks who in this setup, anyways? And Sawyer uses this moment to save everyone he can. "You okay with that, sweetheart?" "absolutely" and my heart goes pitter-pat "Draw me a map" So is Sawyer gonna draw up a bullshit map? and Eloise has tunnels into New Otherton... Who's shooting? SAYID!!! Looking so sexybaddass!

If they wreck James and Juliet... I'm not going to say I know for certain what my reaction will be—all I can guarantee is it won't be pretty. However, at the moment I'm trying to take heart in the idea that James and Juliet have their own theme, as the music that played when he picked and gave her the flower in "LaFleur" was reprised in their scenes together immediately before and after they got on the sub. After all, giving the pairing their own special tune implies TPTB see them as a pretty strong couple, right? RIGHT? *flails around, looking for more straws to grasp*

I really love *James* and Juliet together. My big fear is that the show will end with Jack successfully erasing the whole show and the series ends with Flight 815 safely landing in LA. My Jack-hate grows by leaps and bounds. It's only fitting that he's the one who wants to risk wiping out the timeline. Damn. Doesn't he realize the plane could crash in the ocean or blow up without the island's interference? Loved Locke this episode. I am so hoping for a Richard Alpert episode next season. How is it that some people don't like this season? This is a rumor only, but I figured I'd use the spoiler tags. There's rumors out there that Elizabeth Mitchell won't be available to Lost due to her high profile role in the V remake... (really? A V remake?)

Considering that this is right before the season finale and not the series finale, then I tend to doubt that the show will end this way.
