Bwah. Great opener Monnie. Popping in to wave hi I'm drowning in work right now and just can't take time to play. I finished one script this weekend, two to go.

I sent my laptop to be repaired. They sent me a quote on paper for £69 plus tax. They didn't tell me how to pay them and did tell me not to pay yet because the techs were still looking at it. They kept my laptop for a month. Now they say I need the same item but it costs £75 plus tax, because prices fluctuate and the other quote is a month old. And they won't start fixing it until I've sent the money. Is this fair?
They have my laptop. I must pay them money now. It's a bit annoying.
... how do cheques work again? I haven't used one for like a year... *uses wiki because memory clearly can't be bothered*
(does anyone else feel like they've left half their brain behind when they can't google?) (I need a computer that can go to the pub. because imdb knows all. so I don't have to.)

Slept most of last night with the help of Advil PM. I am not doing laundry. I am not going to the library. Those will happen tomorrow. I am going to finish another Artgirlz kit, and maybe drive to Cost Plus and walk across the parking lot to Ralphs, because we need a new jar for cat treats and Somebody neglected to put strawberry applesauce cups on the shopping list and is now peeved that we're out. Since said Somebody is the only one who eats them, which makes keeping track her responsibility, I am peeved at her. Still coughing and sniffling and my ears are popping at random intervals. Still tired. Stupid corporeal form. Anne, talk about your Lost Weekend

People here at work seem to be under the misguided impression that I'm willing to work this week.

So. This Saturday, my friends and I stumbled across thiswhile looking for this. Since both have been in my brain all weekend, particularly the bit about the narwhals being the Jedi of the seas, I'm passing them on to you like a chirpy happy cheerful plague. This is by the same deviant who gave us the "badgers badgers badgers badgers badgers badgers badgers..." meme. Enjoy!

I hope everyone is well! Brrrrrrrr....autumn blew in with a vengeance last night. The wind howled all night long. Was great sleeping weather, tho! It's currently 55 degrees, windy and the sun is trying to peak out of the clouds. Am sooooo glad I got 18 holes of golf in yesterday - which was warm and gorgeous. Shot decently - even parred a couple of holes. Hate to see summer go. It's a good thing autumn is my favorite season - with my favorite holiday, Halloween. Takes the edge off the thought of winter and no golf for 4 months. Caught up on some TV this weekend. Loved Flash Forward! Definitely putting on my must see list. Medium and Numbers were both good - so they are staying on my list. Cougartown - loved the son, but the show is a mess. Dollhouse - Amy Acker owned the show Friday night. I was a bit confused as to what was going on at first. Dunno. Need to rewatch. I wish that they had aired the 13th episode. And where is the funny? I miss the funny.

Dollhouse is definitely lacking the funny, or even the dry/wry wit. I keep watching because it's a Joss show, and I keep hoping, but pretty soon I'm going to have to give up.

Thanks- love the last one; Twitter effecting word-of-mouth is something Sam has seen in person, at least in the multiplying effect; total fankids will tweet and their friends show up in droves to go see a movie. Julia, just realized that I need coffeee before I write any more long sentences.

I will definitely give it a good try but it is losing me a bit. Especially with Amy leaving just when her character was starting to have some depth. Maybe if I watched the 13 ep online it would help. Forgot to mention Grey's Anatomy - the grief show. I kinda cried on and off during the whole thing. They had a young woman on as a guest star who was awesome. She looked like a young Nicole Kidman.

Hi! I'm glad I have a new TV so I can watch Mad Men in the reclining comfort of my boudoir, I am. Julia, even though it's not yet properly installed. Yay for new TV!

Morning temp here was 71 and that's the high for the day. Hoorah! (68/52 is very welcomed weather around these parts.) But I know Allie and Carolyn can NOT be thrilled with the "overcast, windy, scattered showers (i.e. gray, gray, gray) high of 56 and low of 44. I head to Chicago on Thursday and am very excited to sleep at my SILs with all her windows open in the 40 degree weather -- heaven! Jim has bad fall allergies and doesn't like to have our windows open at night. And I'd far rather pack bluejeans and sweaters than shorts and sleeveless tops. PLUS! I'll be in Chicago for the big OLYMPICS announcement. So either euphoria or gloom.
