Quoting this again to say that Spring's description of their conversation is actually pretty damn accurate--although she did leave out the f-bombs Monnie frequently dropped. Thanks for saying this Sara, though I think the S'cubies have already learned to expect nothing but absolute precision and accuracy from my travel reports. Pixi - yes, I think you would have gotten a kick out of listening to Monnie's enthusiastic and frequent defense of Dean-Cas. Not that I egged her on or anything! I mean, I would barely get word-one out of my mouth, and she would POUNCE. She even had special, kinda nasty hand gestures she made up, to proceed her "pounce." A nicer lesser person than me would have gotten the hint and stopped baiting her already dissolved into tears!! Yes, clearly Monnie felt it was important to establish boundaries where Dean and Cas were concerned, and decided the best way to do this was to flip you the bird with both hands and yell "BACK THE FUCK OFF!" For the record, my fellow S'cubies, I did try to intervene on more than one occasion by mentioning that poking a bear often doesn't end well for the one doing the poking. This just seemed to make the gleam in Spring's eye a little brighter, though...

Huh. Maybe he and John Ashcroft could do a duets album... Julia, woke up at 7am, thought "I don't have to get up yet, but I'm so tragically awake" and then it was SHAZAM! magically 9:30...

Oh, I was seriously pissed when they killed off Pam. As you said, it seemed totally unnecessary and she had great potential as a recurring character--she was smart, funny, and could go toe-to-toe with the boys any day of the week. Why Sam didn't take her to a hospital so she could get medical help when the Reaper was allowed to work again still baffles me. Note angry eyebrows: Well Sam was deep in the throes of demon blood/Ruby addiction so he was being an idiot. And yes, I still haven't forgiven him for trying to strangle Dean who went to FREAKING HELL FOR HIM so. . . . . . . . . yea. When did he strangle Dean? Was this when they were controlled by the siren? And who hasn't attempted to strangle their sibling? I remember one time when my brother and I were working hard at it mutually. We both likely would have wound up unconscious, save our mom started beating the crap out of us with an umbrella to make us let go of each other's throats. *looks around* no-one else?

Yes, I think everyone in the fandom hated Pamela's death. She was a seriously great character. And if I'd been there I would be doing the same thing. Dean and Cas are my OTP and I love them furiously and obsessively. I'm glad you liked it. You should start at the beginning and work your way through though Cas doesn't show up till Season 4. And have you seen season 5's Free to be You and Me yet? Or The End? Off the chart fantastic episodes. I have seen . . . I think three or four eps this season, including the season opener, but I don't know the ep names. I know I missed at least one ep. The only one I remember clearly was the one where Dean went forward in time - I especially liked Sam-in-white-as-Lucifer in that ep, and the overall conceptualization of Lucifer. I was amazed by how creepy he was in the white suit, and by how well he'd assimilated Nick-as-Lucy's mannerisms, as well.

While I thought Jared P did a solid job as Sam, I really hadn't seen him stretch his acting chops much, in the few eps I happened to see to that point. So I was delighted with the performance. Creepy, creepy, creepy!! I was hoping to see him do the John Travolta pose in the suit, so that was the only real disappointment (I mean, what could be more evuuuul? )

Now completely my epic run of Pattitus (sniff, miss) good morning to all. I'm in complete it's Thursday perk mode although as soon as I finished my script of course there's a new script writing assignment on the website. Sigh. Though yea? But I won't be working on it today so woo hoo for the Thursday and Supernatural tonight and the safe return of the Travelers and just a general woo. I'm feeling the woo. Ya, Pixi, for more bidness! I'm feeling both the woo AND the hoo.

No, the Siren doesn't count. When Dean went after Sam after he was released from the panic room. The next to last episode of the season. That's what Sam needs to apologize for. No one blames him for the seal or Lilith or the Apocalypse. Everyone - Dean, Sam, Cas, Angels all had a hand in this. I blame him for blaming Dean for Ruby (as in WTF Sam in last week's Fallen Idols) and I blame him for trying to strangle Dean and not saying I'm sorry. But then the show is kind of whitewashing all this away now and doing some retconning so I don't think this will ever be addressed.

Huh. Maybe he and John Ashcroft could do a duets album...Julia, woke up at 7am, thought "I don't have to get up yet, but I'm so tragically awake" and then it was SHAZAM! magically 9:30... *Puts fingers in ears and goes I can't hear you*I spent part of the morning climbing up and down the paint ladder, rearranging pictures in the kitchen so I could hang the vintage 3-D tree lenticulars, which also meant adding screw eyes and wire to the cheap Michael's frames because the damn loops on the backs are too damn small for me to hook onto the picture hooks, especially when I'm standing on a damn paint ladder with my arms over my head and can't see clearly because I'm looking through the distance part of my trifocals arrgh. This also required moving other pictures on other walls, but at least I got the maneki neko clock dusted. But that's done now, except for the one Mexican celestial ceramic thingy that no longer has a place to be. I'll either find another place to hang it, or give it to someone, or something. Whatever. So then I walked to Rite-aid and Ralphs, and bought too many heavy things. It all counts as exercise, right? It had damn well better, dammit, because it sure feels like exercise. Also, some people are scum, and in this I include the guy who walked into Ralphs, right past the trashcan, as I was walking out, and dumped his candy wrapper on the floor. I disposed of it. Also, the family who took their shopping cart of groceries home with them, including the cart, which they will probably abandon on the street somewhere (assuming they don't dump it in the creek), to be collected by truck later, thereby costing the grocery store money, which will in the long run raise prices. Asshats. Mr Bolty's too good for 'em. I need tea. Maybe with a side of chocolate.

She made us We had the pleasure of watching about a dozen eps from Season 3 and 4, so we could get caught up and understand S5 better. If I tried to ask questions about Cas-Dean, it usually went something like this: ME: "But in that scene, Dean really didn't seem -" MONNIE: "OMG, OMG, OMG! Shut up!! They're in love!! It's so obvious!" ME: "But I was just thinking that -" MONNIE: "Stop thinking! Put on the slash goggles, and see reality! See the TRUTH!!!" ME: "But-" MONNIE: "Didn't you see that their fingers TOUCHED in that scene??? What more do you want?? OMG!!"
Etc.But seriously, the SPN watching was fun. Sara and Monnie picked out either funny or "pivotal" type eps. My favorite things were the funny (they are good at it, in Ghostfacers, or the talking Teddy and such) and the overall arc (nicely thought out and presented). My least favorite thing was Pamela, the psychic, getting mutilated then killed due to her association with the boys. She seemed like she could have made a great long-term recurring character - her painful destruction seemed so unnecessary. Quoting this again to say that Spring's description of their conversation is actually pretty damn accurate--although she did leave out the f-bombs Monnie frequently dropped. So Monnie actually said OMG, as in Oh Em Gee? Glad to see that Monnie made it home. And I agree, 6.5 hours in an airport is ridonkulous.
