I'm scared to turn my TV on and see how many shows I've got backed up on Tivo. *sigh* I'm goin' in! *musters up some courage* G'night S'cubies everywhere! Hey you're back! I want far more details of this trip including tales of your fellow Castielians. (hee!) Welcome back! She made us We had the pleasure of watching about a dozen eps from Season 3 and 4, so we could get caught up and understand S5 better. If I tried to ask questions about Cas-Dean, it usually went something like this: ME: "But in that scene, Dean really didn't seem -" MONNIE: "OMG, OMG, OMG! Shut up!! They're in love!! It's so obvious!" ME: "But I was just thinking that -" MONNIE: "Stop thinking! Put on the slash goggles, and see reality! See the TRUTH!!!" ME: "But-" MONNIE: "Didn't you see that their fingers TOUCHED in that scene??? What more do you want?? OMG!!" Etc. But seriously, the SPN watching was fun. Sara and Monnie picked out either funny or "pivotal" type eps. My favorite things were the funny (they are good at it, in Ghostfacers, or the talking Teddy and such) and the overall arc (nicely thought out and presented). My least favorite thing was Pamela, the psychic, getting mutilated then killed due to her association with the boys. She seemed like she could have made a great long-term recurring character - her painful destruction seemed so unnecessary.

As you said, it seemed totally unnecessary and she had great potential as a recurring character--she was smart, funny, and could go toe-to-toe with the boys any day of the week. Why Sam didn't take her to a hospital so she could get medical help when the Reaper was allowed to work again still baffles me. Note angry eyebrows:

She was a seriously great character. And if I'd been there I would be doing the same thing. Dean and Cas are my OTP and I love them furiously and obsessively. I'm glad you liked it. You should start at the beginning and work your way through though Cas doesn't show up till Season 4. And have you seen season 5's Free to be You and Me yet? Or The End? Off the chart fantastic episodes.

Note angry eyebrows: Well Sam was deep in the throes of demon blood/Ruby addiction so he was being an idiot. And yes, I still haven't forgiven him for trying to strangle Dean who went to FREAKING HELL FOR HIM so. . . . . . . . . yea.

Yay, I get to go to the AOA convention in New Orleans!!! Awesomely Odd Androids? Why, yes; how'd you know? No, it's the American Osteopathic Association. I'm just excited because this is the third opportunity to go to New Orleans and I'm actually going dammit! And I just found out for sure that I could go because my grades had to be above a certain amount and they had been sort of borderline, but I just got back the results from the last exam and they are good enough.

Off the chart fantastic episodes. I have seen . . . I think three or four eps this season, including the season opener, but I don't know the ep names. I know I missed at least one ep. The only one I remember clearly was the one where Dean went forward in time - I especially liked Sam-in-white-as-Lucifer in that ep, and the overall conceptualization of Lucifer.

Gorgeous. But can you make it larger? I would like to use it as wallpaper for a while. Sorry for taking so long to reply to this--my brain is at such a low level of function this week I wouldn't cause a single blip on an EEG scan. If you haven't already tried it, your best option is to contact the photographer and see if the original image is at a higher resolution. Reducing a picture's size is easy, but trying to enlarge a digital photo only results in a loss of resolution. I suppose you could, in theory, print the picture and then scan the paper copy at a higher resolution, but I suspect you'd still lose some of the original's crispness and clarity. So, yeah--I'd say your choices are contact the photographer directly or, if that's the largest version that exists, use the tile function when choosing the image as your wallpaper. Well, I'm glad you did, cuz I got to go back and look at it again. Sigh.

Quoting this again to say that Spring's description of their conversation is actually pretty damn accurate--although she did leave out the f-bombs Monnie frequently dropped.

Okay, I refuse to get sick for the third time in 4 months. Time for chicken soup and generic!Airborne. And yes, I know nothing about the Airborne formula has been proven to work for preventing colds or whatever. But I figure it's a decent boost of vitamins anyway, with some ginger and echinacea thrown in, so it's not like it's going to hurt anything. If it helps, great. If not, I'm no worse off than when I started--and it certainly won't be the first time I've wasted $5. Hell, I can come up with a few movies I paid more than a fin to see and ended up wishing for my money and those 2 hours of my life back.

Thanks for saying this Sara, though I think the S'cubies have already learned to expect nothing but absolute precision and accuracy from my travel reports. Pixi - yes, I think you would have gotten a kick out of listening to Monnie's enthusiastic and frequent defense of Dean-Cas. Not that I egged her on or anything! I mean, I would barely get word-one out of my mouth, and she would POUNCE. She even had special, kinda nasty hand gestures she made up, to proceed her "pounce." A nicer lesser person than me would have gotten the hint and stopped baiting her already dissolved into tears!!

And they say courtesy is dead. An email I received yesterday, subject line "AMFF: user ID and password." I've quoted it in its entirety: Send both to me. I can't order on your site.It came just before noon, and because I was away at lunch and worked in the gallery from 1 on I wasn't able to reply until about 3:15. His reply, sent at 6:38: Thanks for your help. I gave up and ordered from another source. He also took the opportunity to complain about the upcoming Cheney event. My verbal response, also quoted in its entirety, upon reading his second email: "Fuck you." Well, definitely better off without him, I say. Julia, and argh to the argh argh.
