I finished my new Supernatural video last night, and I got it uploaded to Youtube, but I checked it just now and the video and audio were all screwy so I had to delete it. I'm sure it was just some kind of mistake on my part, since I'm learning this new program. I'll see if I can get it uploaded tonight and I'll post it here when I do, for any of you who'd be interested in watching it. And speaking of which . . . the iMovie program that came with George(ina)? Blows my old vid-editing program out of the freaking water. I had no clue vid-making could be so easy and non-migraine-producing and carefree and fun. I made that video in two days, whereas with my old program and computer it would have probably taken me close to two weeks. Granted, I was only using clips from four episodes, but still. It's insane how much easier it is.

George conjurs up for me sweet and nice, if a little dorky, whereas Georgina = evil and conniving, but very smart.

By the way, Liz, what's OPP? Is it naughty, and were those 2nd year types hot? Inquiring minds want to know. I do hope that whatever it is, your ankle is better.

I am feeling better today. Just way down on perk and feeling a little drugged though I haven't taken any drugs today. But back to work and hopefully getting some things done. Dang, Pixi! You couldn't have planned for a worst day for a trip to the ER. No McDreamy or Steamys on staff? I'm glad to hear you are feeling better. I know - worse day ever! And sadly no dreamy doctors at all. I feel very cheated.

Juicy and sweet .... with a hint of tartness?

Staggering back onto the board after an "eventful" weekend. For anyone who isn't on my lj or facebook, this is the tale of my weekend, under the cut. Halloween was perking along. I had rehearsal Saturday morning and then ran a bazillion errands in the afternoon. Saturday night I was scheduled to work at Germain again for our fundraising booth. I did have a Halloween party I was invited to but since I had just turned in a $1200.00 check for costumes, I decided to go with the earning money option. I wore a french maid costume (recycling a costume from my production of Annie) and everything went well though I did hear a dozen versions of will you come up and clean my room later.
I woke up around 2:30 am and used the bathroom but couldn't go back to sleep. I tried every position and nothing worked. Then I started feeling nauseated and ended up throwing up (isn't this a lovely tale?) Pain kept getting worse and I started lying on the floor and various positions to try and ease the pain. My son Sam woke up and eventually I decided we had better go to the hospital because I was dying.
By the way, I hate hospitals, hate doctors, never go if I can help it. So . . . . I sort of knew I probably had some sort of kidney problem as the pain was in my left lower back and it probably was a kidney stone and I knew if I could deal with the pain it would eventually get better but man. Pain? Not so much fun. It felt like someone had a knife and was doing their best to repeatedly stab me in the back. Or what I imagine a knife would feel like.
Anyway, Halloween in the middle of the night in a crowded ER that was understaffed to begin with? When we got there a huge group was in one side of the room, a shirtless guy and his buddy on the other, various people scattered about. I was worse and as we were registering started having dry heaves, trying to vomit. Shirtless guy kept trying to help, really nice but I was out of it.
It took 3 hours before I was finally taken back. 3 hours of me dying with pain. I kept sliding out of the chairs, trying to find a position I could endure this with. Gah. Finally the nurse let me wait in a triage room that had a recliner I could stretch out in. Eventually the nurse examined me and I got a shot of pain killer which completely took all the pain away and put me in that drowsy half awake, half drugged out state. Cat scan (hold your breath, you may now breathe) accomplished and then back to wait in a room for another 3 hours. Most of which I was out of but finally, finally a doctor showed up, said yep kidney stone, still there but if you feel good enough you can go home.
I was so happy to get out of there. I was still feeling pretty bad most of yesterday but I think I finally passed the stone in the afternoon as I started feeling better late in the day.
So in conclusion, kidney stones suck and ER's are not nearly as much fun as they look on tv. Anyway, hope everyone had a much better Halloween then I did! Glad you're feeling better! Drink lots of water, eh? Julia, stone formers tend to form stones, and all

Which made me think hmmm, maybe I should name it George. But then I wasn't sure if it is male or female, so wasn't sure if it should be Georgina. Then again, who says I can't name a female computer George? Normal societal rules and customs do not apply to our love.

Good Morning, and all. Tooth Day, also "run up the Visa balance" day because I'm having a crown replaced, bleurgh. Replacements have less prep, of course, and the dentist has a weird little CADCAM device that makes the thing right in the office.
Julia, hooray for modern technology

You need to impose an embargo on Lola.

So on last night's Castle I found the grand mother of all red herrings. Blue was hung from one ankle from the fire escape ladder: the other leg was crocked over level over a rung of the ladder.
Her hands were dangling free, not behind her back, but I was certain, certain, I tell you, that she was hung in a reference to the Hanged Man card.
and the show just DANCED all around that possibillity and never mentioned it. Blah. Some days it doesn't pay to obsessively symbol-hunt.

This makes me giggle as the only Georgina I've ever known is the current Vicar of St. Benedict's, Lacey, ECA. Julia, she's a jolly good role model for a 'puter, too
