Alrighty, here's my latest Supernatural video: Big, giant thumbs up!!!! Major wootage!!! I am so, so impressed by this, Monnie. I love the song. It's perfectly evokes the mood. And then the way you cut the scenes, like when Sammy is washing the counter and Dean is washing his car, to show how they are living apart, yet parallel, was very effective. Dean single, perfect tear is a thing of beauty. It reminds me of Demi Moore's crying scene in Ghost. How do they do that? I digress. I really like this video, if you couldn't tell! ;D

Ye Olde PostAs BtVS came to an end and we learned that Spike would be joining AtS, Patti, Gail, and I speculated on . . .THE TOP TEN WAYS SPIKE WILL DRIVE ANGEL NUTS: PATTI:10. Will be asked for autographs when he sings at the new W&H Kareoke club. 9. Will use Angel's credit cards on Rodeo Drive without permission. 8. Will steal and crash 11 of Angel's fleet of 12 cars. Will dent #12. 7. Will leave Ramones and Sex Pistols discs on Angel's CD player 6. Will tape over Angel's hockey games with episodes of Passions 5. Will tell every woman Angel meets that Angel is a poof who can't have sex...with women 4. Will then date all the women...(see #5)and return smelling like a Rose, (or a Diane, or a Lilah...) 3. Will invite Clem over and leave hot wings, blooming onions, Bugles and bourbon stains on the leather couch. 2. Will introduce himself to everyone at W&H as Angel's grandson And #1...will describe to Angel in detail what happened in the basement that last night after the screen went dark... GAIL:10. Hanging out in Angel's office, sitting in Angel's chair with his booted feet on Angel's nice expensive cherrywood desk. 9. Carrying a very loud boombox around the hallowed halls of Wolfram & Hart. 8. Referring to Angel as "You Stupid Git" when he disagrees with him. 7. Pinching Fred's rear at least once a day. 6. Mentioning how the earth moved for him and Buffy (and the house fell down too). 5. Becoming Wesley's new best pal 4. Singing "Mandy" over the W&H loudspeaker. 3. Organizing Rugby teams out of W&H loudspeaker. 2. Leaving his peroxide mix in the sink in Angel's bathroom. 1. Threatens to eat the Personnel Department if Weetabix and blooming onions are not added to the W&H cafeteria menu. SPRING:10) Hides hair gel at every opportunity. 9) Invites VHISN faculty and staff in to study Angel’s anatomy while he’s asleep. 8) Finds Angel’s closet of “skinny clothes” and starts wearing them, even though Angel insists he’ll get back into them someday. 7) Teaches Gunn & Wesley the fine art of using hand gestures to subtly direct female eyes toward their zippers. 6) Snickers whenever Angel turns on his table lamp. 5) Keeps “accidentally” leaving the detailed journal he kept in Season 6 laying around, open to the “Behind the DoubleMeat Palace” entry. 4) Purposely half-bakes all the cookies. 3) Puts up a motivational “foes defeated single-handedly” board for the Fang Gang and includes Ubervamps, so it shows: Angel: 3,764; Fred: 32; Wesley: 137; Gunn: 58; Spike: 334,891!!2) Keeps giving Angel’s cell phone number to Dru. 1) Takes a room next to Angel’s and has noisy sex often, yelling “Touchdown!!” as appropriate.* *for those who may not have been there or don't recall, this was in reference to a funny story Rob told us while still on ScoopMe, about some disturbingly noisy neighbors. Rob later posted to thank me "for the memory." Thanks for this, Spring. I am both happy and sad to read them. I like all of the Top Tens, but I particularly like the suggestion of Clem guest starring as Spike's buddy. That would have been a hoot.

Just a reminder: It begins in about 8 minutes here on the east coast. Dammit. I forgot to record it. *sigh*

Aaack, sorry, I forgot that I made it to where you can't watch it to make it public. Should be all fixed now. ;D Nicely done, Monnie! Lots o' brotherly angst and all. For some reason, I especially like the repeated use of the cell phone image, and then, at the end, how the car leaves, but then we see the car coming back, if you know what I mean. Does a nice job showing that there is conflict, but that there is also brotherly love that overcomes. Thank you! That's exactly what I was going for.

I must confess, though . . . the parallel scenes of Dean washing his car and Sam washing the counter? That came straight from the episode. In fact, that's what gave me the idea to do those parts of the video that way. That whole storyline of the brothers choosing to be apart, and how angsty they were . . . it was all really more painful for me than I thought it would be. A very effective storyline that I wish had lasted for a few more eps, just to draw the pain out even longer. It was beautifully written and beautifully acted and about friggin' time, considering how dysfunctionally codependent their relationship has always been. They were needing to learn how to be their own people without each other, but I don't know if they were apart long enough to figure it out. Anywho, I loved that storyline so much that I just had to vid it. And AiC being a favorite band of mine, it all just kind of fit together.

So, I'm taping "V", figuring I'll watch it this weekend or so. Catching up on other TV and movies and so on.
Is anyone watching it live? Are you liking it? How's Morena B doing?

And you're more than welcome to stop by, out here in the panhandle, come your roadtrip, if it's not too far out of the way for you. I can't swear I can put you up in my house, as it's sort of a disaster area at the moment with me replacing drywall and dust and crap everywhere. *is embarrassed at not being able to offer proper hospitality to road-tripping s'cubies*

Glad he's got a place of honor! Sorry about the little wrinkle on it: I failed to get it to a rigid backing before I got bumped by a wookiee. Btw, full box set on DVD coming out this fall, for cheaper than Season 2 by itself now. whew, I thought I bent it!Yeah, that's one reason for the watch-a-thon; I want to see the old commercials one more time (especially the SciFi promos). We're getting it as an all-family treat. Julia, I'm possibly going to bulk erase the tapes, or just move them out to the barn I am so buying that DVD set. Even if I have to sell blood to do so.

Staggering back onto the board after an "eventful" weekend. For anyone who isn't on my lj or facebook, this is the tale of my weekend, under the cut. Halloween was perking along. I had rehearsal Saturday morning and then ran a bazillion errands in the afternoon. Saturday night I was scheduled to work at Germain again for our fundraising booth. I did have a Halloween party I was invited to but since I had just turned in a $1200.00 check for costumes, I decided to go with the earning money option. I wore a french maid costume (recycling a costume from my production of Annie) and everything went well though I did hear a dozen versions of will you come up and clean my room later.
I woke up around 2:30 am and used the bathroom but couldn't go back to sleep. I tried every position and nothing worked. Then I started feeling nauseated and ended up throwing up (isn't this a lovely tale?) Pain kept getting worse and I started lying on the floor and various positions to try and ease the pain. My son Sam woke up and eventually I decided we had better go to the hospital because I was dying.
By the way, I hate hospitals, hate doctors, never go if I can help it. So . . . . I sort of knew I probably had some sort of kidney problem as the pain was in my left lower back and it probably was a kidney stone and I knew if I could deal with the pain it would eventually get better but man. Pain? Not so much fun. It felt like someone had a knife and was doing their best to repeatedly stab me in the back. Or what I imagine a knife would feel like.
Anyway, Halloween in the middle of the night in a crowded ER that was understaffed to begin with? When we got there a huge group was in one side of the room, a shirtless guy and his buddy on the other, various people scattered about. I was worse and as we were registering started having dry heaves, trying to vomit. Shirtless guy kept trying to help, really nice but I was out of it.
It took 3 hours before I was finally taken back. 3 hours of me dying with pain. I kept sliding out of the chairs, trying to find a position I could endure this with. Gah. Finally the nurse let me wait in a triage room that had a recliner I could stretch out in. Eventually the nurse examined me and I got a shot of pain killer which completely took all the pain away and put me in that drowsy half awake, half drugged out state. Cat scan (hold your breath, you may now breathe) accomplished and then back to wait in a room for another 3 hours. Most of which I was out of but finally, finally a doctor showed up, said yep kidney stone, still there but if you feel good enough you can go home.
I was so happy to get out of there. I was still feeling pretty bad most of yesterday but I think I finally passed the stone in the afternoon as I started feeling better late in the day.
So in conclusion, kidney stones suck and ER's are not nearly as much fun as they look on tv. Anyway, hope everyone had a much better Halloween then I did! How very very unfun!! **sends hugs and feel better-ness**

Now, when I'd have time to watch TV, that's another matter... I wonder if Kitty would like Farscape? After we watch seasons 1-3 of BtVS, though.

Then there's George/Georgia: smart, snarky, and able to rip your soul out with a casual touch. Hmm. I'm not sure I'd want a computer with the last capability.. Heh. How about Peaches? Juicy and sweet .... with a hint of tartness? ;D

Cool. Mac beats PC in the graphic arts department, or so I have heard. Can't wait to see your new vid. George or Georgina? are you trying to decide on a name? George conjurs up for me sweet and nice, if a little dorky, whereas Georgina = evil and conniving, but very smart. ;D Well, the story behind the names is this: I was discussing on LJ how much I love my iMac, and I said I want to hug it and squeeze it and call it George. Which made me think hmmm, maybe I should name it George. But then I wasn't sure if it is male or female, so wasn't sure if it should be Georgina. Then again, who says I can't name a female computer George? Normal societal rules and customs do not apply to our love. I think you should call it Gorgeous. ;D
