Aww, thanks, Better Half and Sara and Monnie and be! S'cubies are the best! I ventured out into the frozen wastelands of the back yard - ice on the grass, ice on the trash cans, and a pretty good sheet of ice on the puddles in the wheelbarrow and folding camp chair. The front yard is also pretty frozen - I had to move a hose before I could put my car off the street, and it felt iced. I did not, however, try to bend the hose. Husband did that once, and the results were not happy, to say the least. The frost ferns on my car windows are really pretty, though. The cats insisted on going out into our Winter Wonderland. Shadow lasted about five minutes, but Patches, come to think of it, is still out there. Yes, silly fluffycat went all the way around the house. She's a brave intrepid Arctic explorer who will probably need a good long nap on the down comforter to recover from her adventure.

today I discovered a really anxiety causing problem, put paper in order until I understood it, asked questions, continued to ask questions even though the first set of answers told me not to worry there wasn't that problem, discovered yes in fact there was exactly the problem I thought (though I still don't know how, or how I'm the first to notice), and phoned more people until someone promised to fix it. email, phone, phone, phone, wait for call back on the phone. I can't fix it myself because it needs someone particular to sort it out, so this is as close as I can get to All Done. I can't count it All Done until a number of bits of paperwork happen though. Still, good day's work. ... I'm a fool for not noticing any time since June, but I'd have been doing rather worse to not have noticed until January, so lets call that a win. Now I should probably eat. Because humans need that. Hey, if you're the first to notice there was a problem, that doesn't make you the fool. It's definitely a win. Go Becca! I should eat something, too.

It's frozen out there - no wet paws. Anyway, she dried them on the den carpet on her way to the kitchen to get her goodies. Mommy Anne says thank you for the birthday shiny.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNE!!!!!Looks like you have many pretties to play with. Hope it's a great day. Thank you, Pixi! I'm feeling... I don't know. Not really happy, not really sad, more numb. Too much drama. I think I'll go smell my birthday flowers again. Paul got me some carnations, and I love carnations.
