I am happy with the way my pasta-fagioli turned out, and put some in a tupperware bowl for lunch tomorrow. Had a very quiet day. Monnie & I are working on getting our blog started, which I am really looking forward to! More on that when we get a little farther along - we've just started working out the details. She's such a diva! But I'm dealing.

Watched The Prestige for the first time last night. I had intended to go see it when it came out, but didn't. What an intricate puzzle-box of a movie! And the cast was fascinating. How often can you see Wolverine, Batman, Alfred, the Black Widow, Gollum, and the Thin White Duke together? This is one I'll be thinking about for awhile. That movie is one of the best films in recent years. Love the hell out of its twisty turny convolutedness.

I've been a slacker and not done my share of work yet, except for telling you that your hundreds of ideas just weren't any good. I promise I'll start actually working on what we want to do and the layout and such. I just haven't been able to make myself do anything this weekend except for knitting two scarves and catching up on tivo. And converting some fanfic into pdf format and uploading it to my Kindle. Oh! I just thought of a name for my Kindle: Kiki. Or maybe Kinky would be better, considering the fanfic I'm reading on it. *wanders off whistling innocently*

Speaking of eating.... (Yay for Emily's first success in solid eating!) I'm watching the delightful Julie and Julia. But I'm thinking it's not the best thing to be watching while trying to shed a few pounds because now I've got an itch to make a chocolate pie and some bruchetta. I still haven't seen that movie yet, but I certainly want to. I'll have to lay in some tasty but not fattening foods to eat while I watch. ;D Hehe..fruit and cheese and myabe some french bread and wine? I asked for Mastering the Art of French Cooking for Valentine's Day. Although I think that's going to be more of a gift for Nick than me. Most of the reviews for it were really good, and I feel I should shake up my recipes since I feel I'm in a rut. And eating like the French is supposed to actually be slimming, but they use A LOT of butter.

I love cloud photos. And Kaylee looks like she is doing her best impersonation of River by trying to will those treats out of your pocket!

The lighting / sky in this pic is most excellent. No sky at all- the dark bluish backgound is the bluff, about a half mile or so away and 200 ft tall. It's already in full evening shade compared to the full sun of the center of the delta. Julia, the first person who thought it was sky used to hike the delta, so it's not a bad mistake.

Collapsing tiredly. Long weekend w/ NYCDA.
Talked to Jakob Carr who was the runner up this year for SYTYCD. He was nice though exactly like he is on tv. Very quiet.
Not my favorite competition to attend that's for sure. But I survived.
