I just remembered Project Runway and turned it on, but it seems to be almost over. Will try again next week!
Crazy day! Busy, busy, busy at work - so much nutty going on there. The girls are doing pretty well though. Some dramas going on, but nothing too bad.
I am getting anxious about school starting, but not too bad.

S'cubies. (closest I could get to Mr Bolty) - apply as needed. Husband and daughters went to get dinner at the Fullerton Farmers' Market. I decided it was a good time to vacuum the livingroom. Husband brought me back a foot-long polish dog (I ate half and put the rest aside for him to eat later) a roasted ear of corn and some really good fresh lemonade. So I am achy all over, but full of good dinner.

Remember when I did VM reviews?
Where did I find the time.
Day spent in exercise and then many many emails re church women. I hand the presidency over to another woman in Sept. Hopefully after that I will have more time to hang and reply to y'all.

Hello, tonight's nightmare. Wait until it's a reality! Not only will we visit a beekeeper, but we'll stay in the seediest motel around, and I'll make sure I'm tired and cranky on the drive back. I'll come along if you want. Nobody does tired/cranky better than me. Better yet--I have to do the pit stop thing about every hour. Waddayasay?

This joke may make no sense to be, but the word "sucks" reminded me of a t-shirt I saw while at the U of Illinois 2 weeks ago on our way to Chicago: Front of shirt: Why does the state of Illinois lean to the right? Back of shirt: Because Indiana sucks and Iowa blows. [The Big 10 fans will get it.] Which at least was a tad more thoughtful than the more direct: "Muck Fichigan" t-shirts. Muck Fichigan? Who would wear a shirt like that? Believe it or not, a shirt I saw for sale in Ann Arbor was even less subtle, since it tried this same "switch the first consonant trick, only with the word "Buckeye" instead of Michigan. (You can't really use "Ohio.") So anyhow, consider a moment, how that would turn out. Yes, that's right. It said: Buck the Fudge-eyes. Only it didn't say Fudge. It said THE word, the big one, the queen-mother of dirty words, the "F-dash-dash-dash" word! Yes, the whole purpose of the consonant switch was thwarted, but do you think they cared? No, they did not! Hm. It works great here. Tuck Fexas!

Writing is hard work, and requires that one pays attention to what one is writing about. I am currently paying attention to chickens. Therefore I am not writing about anything at all, although I wake up some mornings with Mags yelling in my ear...
Julia, needing to buy a copy of Justified s2 except that, strangely enough, a 2% salary cut and increase in healthcare and retirement contributions has decreased discretionary spending.

No question about writing being hard work. In the 70s I spent my rehabilitation time from a back injury churning out two novels. And this was before word processors or desktop computers became so widespread. My little second (third?) hand Selectric got a workout. Wish I still had her. She was a joy to type on.

No, they did not! That's the problem with people from Michigan. They just go about offending the sensibilities of those from Ohio with abandon--all willy nilly!! Willy nilly!!

I'm enjoying this season. There is one guy who gave me what will now be an oft-used phrase: "She is rockin' my nerves!" Combine that with an eye roll and maybe a hair flip to get the full word picture.

Hi all. I'm sorry I've not been around much (except creating TW's threads). I've got less than a month to finish my thesis corrections, so I've been Psycho Focused Girl. I think my brain just pinged. *sigh* to those who need it.
