Too quiet. Well, last week I tried to help everybody get their Smutday on and it didn't work. I think we ought to change Wednesdays to Sleepday.

For what it's worth, I looked at your name this morning and read it as "playingwithherselfdiane". It was 5AM and I hadn't had my tea. Me, busybusybusynothingtosaybusy. But I got Kitty's t-shirt in the mail today, and that doesn't suck. I still ordered the TARDIS mug for her, because I know if I wait until next year it won't be appreciated as much. Also Proboards is up and down and up and down... something about bears.

I had a long conversation with The Boy, a vigorous and disgusting episode of Chick Care, made a pot of brown rice, leftovers and apples and fed it to the outside chickens, and then have been dinking around online because I am tired, I have a nasty cough, and I still need to feed all the Wyandottes their second course; they eat twice as much as the other chickens, mostly because they're HUGE. Oh, and also give Bacchus his first cup of alflfa pellets since it was raining so hard today that he stayed in his boudoir, and replace the front yard suet box for the tweety birds. Then I get to cook Anna's going away dinner. Julia, going to start getting dark soon, best get to work, eh?

Yes, it's true: I haven't spent so much of my day feeding people and things since Anna was three months old.

Well, that depends who you talk to . . . we had quite the day around these parts . . . here is an aerial shot of an enormous gasline explosion we had just a few miles away, in the northern part of the county: A friend of mine who lives nearby says it roared for over 30 minutes. Last I heard, there was, amazingly, only one person hurt. There is a school nearby, lots of blown out windows, minor injuries and very scared people . . . it's mind-boggling.

Here is a pic of some firefighters standing inside the crater, looking at the center of it: And here's a vid of the raging fire - oh my, the sound of it alone!

Bad day. Bad, bad day. Terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. *Hugs* *Cookies* *Tucks little Diane in with her Spike doll for a nap* I finished my Henry V-watching festival; Olivier on Tuesday and Branagh *swoons* today. Good thing I got it done, because both spawn have no classes on Fridays this semester and the Elder is home all next week to boot. I may give up and subject her to my weird taste in entertainment anyway, but the Branagh Henry V makes me cry, and I prefer not to advertise my follies to the family if possible. And here comes the Younger Daughter, right on cue. Later, S'cubies.

Gasoline line, from the amount of burn damage; Natural gass doesn't burn hot enoough to oxidise the ground. There was a gasoline line exlosion in Bellingham a few years ago that killed three young men who were fishing in a creek a hundred feet away, and blistered the paint of cars passing on the freeway even further away than that. Julia, BUSY day, hired hand in, no time to chat, just saw that the site was down and came to check and YOW

More replies later.
Must congratulate Erin and other stuff before holiday hits.
However, have to comment that it might have been quiet because Anne reports difficulties yesterday and then today I couldn't get here. She replied to my LJ post with the info that it was a problem with Comcast.
Just sayin.
And thanks for the info, Anne. As you can see, yes it is now fixed.
