Well, I'm glad for you. Now let's talk about me. One word: snow. Or rather three: Classic Cascade Concrete. Julia, has terrible effects on my sense of humor, I fear. [sends warm hugs] This is why we need that matter transporter. Thanks: needed and appreciated. I have gotten nothing fed, minus giving the sheep some bonus bad-weather alfalfa; I was outside for about an hour keeping the Hamburg run from collapsing under the weight of wet snow and rejiggering the sheep's tarp support. Came in to warm up and switch into a dry coat, since it's been sleeting/raining/snowing in waves the whole time I was outside. 35F here, so the weather is...liminal. To put it politely. Julia, I'm saving my impolite words for the point where I'm out of dry shoes

I just got a message from the endocrinologist (I keep wanting to write crinoid, but that's just wrong). Anyway, the thyroid biopsy came back clean. So I get another ultrasound in six months. Phew. If Aged Mum does the "See! SEE! I TOLD YOU THERE WAS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT!!!! NOW ABOUT MEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!", however, I may reach through the phone and punch her in the nose... WOOT!! On the good news! Maybe less so on punching Aged P's regardless of how much they may deserve it.

So, I have managed to give myself a spectacular black eye. Where does that put it on points? Your Majesty?
Julia, it's a doozy, and 100% my own stupid fault.

Thanks ever so. I'm praying for rain tonight- not my usual activity in January, but the weather people are projecting 5-10 inches of snow changing to freezing rain, so plain vanilla rain sounds most excellent. Julia, every day the days are longer, every day one day closer to spring.

Yeah. My rotation is in Bristol, but I'm living in this house on the hospital campus in Kingsport. I've been to Kingsport quite a few times . . . a good pal of mine works for Eastman and has lived there about 20 yrs now. And my brother-in-law was born in Piney Flats.

Yay on the great news about a clean biopsy. Must have been quite a relief.

Sometimes when I look at that wonderful, loving, beautiful man I can't believe how I could have gotten so lucky.

It's done. I've told management my plans. Wonder of wonders: The sky didn't fall. I didn't get my head bit off. They plan to lighten my duties between March and the time I leave.
I guess it's true that you're never so appreciated as when you aren't going to be there any more.
I'm making myself a Short Timer's Calendar.
