Heh. Well, to be fair, no one has, since it doesn't air until tomorrow. I'm just trying to get a jump on things.

"You took a bullet?"
"Ish."
HA!
I love the sciencey duo - they're so giddy and excited. And they're a nice contrast to the old-timer jaded/wary/tired vibe from Melinda May (and Coulson, in a more hidden way).
"You did not just pull that out of the wall! .... we don't know what it'll do if it gets excited!" HA!
Ooooooh, Melinda May is not happy with you, Coulson.
"You ARE a rocket scientist. So work it out." Mmmmmm I love dominating!Coulson.

Hmmmmm. Coulson's 'touchstones to the past' tend to have a modern sting in their tail. OMG, if they open the cargo hold, is Lola strapped down? Save Lola! Melinda May will fuck your shit up. Just keep talking and she'll keep working. I'm definitely enjoying - second ep was not as strong as the first, but there was plenty of action and I really liked the final moment on the back of the plane. FURY! ASKING ABOUT LOLA! FISHTANK! **is very happy**

So, yeah: I was thinking last night how there are many ways this is similar to watching Superman when I was a little kid.
That is a good thing, mind.
Do we think Skye is sort of driven to be an actual asset just to keep saving her own ass?
Julia, because, also, eeek

Jim wanted to know if the little hulu girl ornament was used by Wash in Firefly?

Jim wanted to know if the little hulu girl ornament was used by Wash in Firefly? I would not doubt it.

That was fun. I miss fun TV. TV needs more fun. beccaelizabeth.dreamwidth.org/2655123.htmlis my thoughts for the week but they're not exactly in depth or anything, more like Coulson! Melinda May team! I'll happily watch again next week.

Melinda May team! I'll happily watch again next week. Yes, I agree. Honestly so far it doesn't have me as drawn in as Arrow did last year, or Person of Interest 2 years ago, or even Sleepy Hollow so far this year. (Also still enjoying Once Upon A Time -- it's far from perfect, but as be says "fun" -- at least often enough to stick with). But it's worth sticking with for now. Does anybody know what happened to the ratings between weeks 1 and 2? My primary quibble is the casting. So far I'm not sure the actors are going to up to it. That's if the writing eventually is. I kind of wish we could have met them a few at a time instead of having them all dumped on us at once. (Also, so far they don't have a lot of personality for me -- kind of generic in look -- unlike Summer Glau or Amy Acker or the programmer guy on Dollhouse but then Charisma, SMJ, Allyson H and Xander were are quite pretty. Since I didn't watch Buffy from the get go I don't know how I would have felt). On the other hand -- dumped on him all at once is exactly how Coulsen is operating at the moment and it's sorting them out into a team that is part of the explicit plot development. But so far, even though she appears to be cold and withdrawn, Melinda May (imo) is acting circles around the others. FitzSimmons may be doing an excellent job at what they are being asked to do but since that thus far requires operating gadgets it is hard to tell. And, this is not the fault of the show, but I can't help referring to them in my head as "the Giles character" (Coulson); Willow/Xander (FitzSimmons), Buffy (Melinda May), Angel (tall, dark, handsome and dangerous loner guy), not sure who Skye is -- Faith? The Initiative? even Spike?
