Fine scene for this thursday's episode 5.7 Solitude. When Martha comes down with a strange disease, Professor Fine convinces Clark that Jor-El is responsible and that the Fortress must be trying to eliminate the father of Kal-El. But Professor Fine has an ulterior motive which comes to fruition when they arrive. www.tv.com/smallville/solitude/episode/541500/summary.html

I would classify this as a spoiler, because it implies JM will be coming back in future eps:
From TV Guide:
Anyway, rumor has it that James Marsters is taking a few weeks off from Smallville to shoot the straight-to-DVD spooker Shadow Puppets. The Saw-esque thriller costars Jolene Blalock (Enterprise) and revolves around four people who wake up in an abandoned asylum without any previous memories or knowledge of their whereabouts. Naturally, I'll have more in this week's Ask Ausiello. (should be out on Wed, Nov. 23)

Spring can only hope!!

Info on JM's return to Smallville The article contains casting spoilers for Reba, Twins, and Everwood, so beware if you don't like that sort of thing. tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve_main/1,1002,271|99582|1|,00.html Marsters will make his return to "Smallville" in an episode called "Hypnotic," scheduled to air in the spring. In it, he'll try to use Lex's (Michael Rosenbaum) fixation on the spaceship as a way to free General Zod from the Forbidden Zone (the general's two cohorts made an appearance in this season's premiere).
