Here are the guidelines: 1) One sentence to a customer. That is, each poster adds one and only one sentence, and that poster can't add another until someone else has done so. That is, no serial posting in the serial. 2) The story starts in a Buffyverse setting. Anywhere, with any character(s). 3) From there, crossover characters are allowed (but obviously not required). 4) Feel free to end a chapter if you feel your sentence seems an appropriate place. This can be accomplished by including the parenthetical statement (End Chapter 1 (or 2, or whichever it is)). 5) PG-13 behavior at "worst". We want this to be fun for the entire family. Y'all can indulge your NC-17 fanfic impulses elsewhere. Lots of elsewheres, if I understand things correctly. 6) The story ends if no one has posted a new line in 2 weeks. We retain the right to be a bit slippery with this deadline, though. And no cliffhangers, because: 7) When the above happens, we're gonna pick someone to finish the thing in one line. Yes, we're mean. But you knew that. The story begins in a familiar place, and to kick things off, we bring you the founder of the feast, Jeff, who will provide the first sentence. Have at it!

Chapter 1
As Angel looked around the alley he could not believe how his life had changed since he spoke those four words and waged the biggest battle of his life. It was amazing that nearly a year had passed since he had stood at this very site with Spike, Ilyria and Gunn, expecting nothing more than to live out his final moments while fighting the good fight.

"Now that we're here, though," said the newcomer, "the question needs answered, how are we going to fix what we broke?"

"Wes," said Angel, his face now breaking into the largest grin that anyone, even his mother, had ever seen on his dark face during his long existence, "with you back, what was broken is already fixed!!"

Looking Up and seeing Andrew strolling toward the group, Angel rolled his eyes, "Can't a man come back and reflect on his life in privacy."

"Well, not if there's been a prophecy."
