Okay, I have just come from viewing all the pictures over at slayage.com and have a few comments to make.
Emma darling, here's a doughnut. Eat something child, you are melting away to nothingness.
Michelle, wipe those smudges off your face and put on some clothes.
Well, it would appear that Tony is quite incapable of telling HIS daughters what to wear.
Cues given to the cast while posing:
Alexis, Ally, look cuddly. (And they look utterly adorable.)
Ally, Tony, squeeze in a little tighter. (Are you sure she isn't his daughter too?)
Nicky, do your spazzy Xander imitation (truly, what was he thinking wearing that red shirt. He looks like an accountant.)
Oh look, there's Nick B. Quick take lots of pictures. Oh we're out of film, good going guys, we really got him. Hmmmm? What? What do you mean that was his brother? It can't be? That had to be Xander. AAAAAaaarrrgh.
James, could you do your turtle impression...
Boy, do I need to get to bed, I have to be up for work in 5 1/2 hours. The late night has made me a little nasty. But you all don't mind do you? You like a little nasty once in a while.

First, 10 are NOT enough, but here goes. In order of viewing
1. School Hard 2. Lover's Walk 3. Something Blue 4. Hush 5. Restless 6. Fool for Love 7. Intervention 8. Life Serial 9. Once More with Feeling 9.5 Tabula Rasa 10. Sleeper
Which leaves OUT about 36 more TOP favorites like Go Fish, The Replacement, Superstar, Becoming, What's My Line, The Initiative, Doomed, etc. I think it would be easier to list my 10 least favorite Buffy eps. In order of viewing 1. Out of Mind, Out of Sight 2. I Robot You Jane 3. Some Assembly Required 4. Ted 5. Bad Eggs 6. Killed By Death 7. Gingerbread 8. Where the Wild Things Are 9. As You Were 10. Him
The hardest part of THAT was finding 10 I didn't like. And most of those still have something really neat in them.

It's hard enough for me to write this danged fanfic without picturing him looking like Captain freaking Hook. :-)
Is it terrible to laugh at a deformity if its a fictional one? Cause Captain freaking Hook! guffaw!

I laughed so hard at the Capt. Hook reference!
I tell ya somethign tho', this may be jsut what Xander needed. Eyepatches are kewl! It shows he's tough. It adds a sense of mystery to him sorta like a scar. I mean, scars are like tattoos with better stories. It also brings out hte sympathy/nurture aspect in them. "Oh poor Xander baby! I bet that really hurt! Come here and lay your head on my lap and let me make it all better!"
I bet the ladies will be lining up around the block for him now. And not jsut the preying mantises, mummies, and demons (either current or ex). I mean real live wimminfolk. *Thinks* Of course, most all of them have a certain preying mantis, demon air about them sometimes. And lets not forget their tendency to become "mummies" *grins*
Sorry, sorry. I've been working on the site too long and forgot how to socialize.

But...but...how dare you plot something diabolical without involving me? *sniffs* I wanna have fun too! Are we gonna do a raid on the Episode board and spray paint on the walls Spike Rulez!? Or maybe Spike and Buffy 4ever!!!
*jsut chuckling*

I am sorry Rusty, I didn't mean to slight you!
Folks, I slipped up before when I mentioned the new stuff on the website. Everyone needs to also check out Rusty's essay "Concerning The Powers That Be" in the Essays Assayed area of the S'cubie Website.
So sorry Rusty! Forgive me?

//About that Buffy essay, I SO appreciated your reprinting of the dialogue between Buffy and Xander when she shatters his heart into a million pieces...and by extension mine.//
Sorry Rob, but lets be honest. Any essay about the many loves of Buffy Summers has to include Xander. Sorry that their love was shortlived and bittersweet.

//Auctioning off the obscure stuff from the set? I think I would like Giles's lamp. You know the one. The one from the table in the living room of his apartment. The one the "note" from "Jenny" was under. I has a green glass shade and some really bizarre arrangement of wood holding it up. I don't know why, but I like it. //
IF (and that's a big IF) they do like the X-Files did when it went off the air, there as was a big auction on E-Bay for authentic props from the show; yes, I know you can't trust a lot of stuff on E-Bay, but this was one of those special, sponsored auctions for charity. And the sort of things they auctioned off were those really odd items -- a walkie-talkie or a coffee thermos actually used on the show, stuff so obscure some of the fans probably wouldn't recognize the significance other than it was actually used on the show.
That said, I don't know if Giles' lamp or Willow's Eskimo parka would qualify as even obscure enough, since they're props that played major roles in certain scenes. For that, I'd keep an eye on Sotheby's.

//First, 10 are NOT enough, but here goes.//
I hear you Patti. I did my Top Ten and even included an honorable mention, and still great episodes like Passion, Becoming pts 1 & 2, Choices and Surprise/Innocence failed to make the list. On my Angel list I did the same thing, and yet Epiphany was nowhere to be seen.
So I'd like to re-do my Top Ten as the following:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer:
All episodes tied for first place honors, except for Teachers Pet (sorry Rob) in last place, Doublemeat Palace in second to last, and I Robot You Jane in third to last (Jenny Calendar's first appearance is what saved that ep from last place).
Angel:
All episodes tied for first place, except for She in last place and Shiny Happy People in second to last place (it creeped me out, and the speeches were hokey).
There, I can rest much easier now.

Is it not ironic that on the most recent Halloween episode -- last season's All The Way -- Xander dressed up like a pirate, complete with the patch? And I swear he raided Larry's closet to do it, not that Larry minded, being dead and all.

Not always. I mean, I have this one scar that you're going to have to get me pretty drunk to hear the story, and then you're going to wish I'd stayed sober.

It's six degrees of Kevin Bacon time. I went to high school with a girl who's sister is actress Jessica Kiper. Jessica played Shane, the skanky blonde girlfriend on Gilmore Girls. Anyhow, Jessica is supposed to also appear on Angel sometime this season as Gwen Raiden's personal butler (you remember, the one Gwen said was in Tahiti waiting for Gwen to come down to avoid the big darkness). So I know someone who's sister worked with people who know James Marsters. That's what, three degrees? How cool is that!!!
Anyhow, I've e-mailed Jessica in hopes she might have some insight into the inner workings of a Mutant Enemy show. Jessica wasn't on set at Angel for long, but she might have an idea if there were backstage tensions or not, help shed some light on Freddie Prinze's comments about Sarah's real reasons for leaving.
Soon as I hear back from Jessica, I'll post it for all S'Cubie consumption. So far she's been pretty good at responding.

I popped over to BuffyGuide.com (BTW, if you do a HoBot search on buffy, they come up #2, right behind the official website.) and our current standing is as follows:
Hits: 136 Rating: 9.08 Votes: 35 Added: Apr 03, 2003
Not too shabby in about 20 days! I wish they had a more complete rating system that allowed us to knwo what they liked best about hte site and what areas need improvement. Maybe I'll look into adding some sort of guestbook/comments thingy.
