//I loved the book - trace my vampire love to that book. But, it was pretty intense for a 13 year old, so that's probably why. I tried to re-read it this past year and thought it pretty slow going and the diary aspect was annoying this time, as you said, (sorta) Dave. // There are a lot of popular books I don't like, mostly for the writing style of the authors. I loved the Lord of the Rings movies so much I attempted to tackle Tolkein's original work. Got through The Hobbit and about half of The Fellowship of the Ring before I finally gave up. He's not a bad writer, and I can definitely understand people's love of his work, but it didn't work for me. There might be people who can handle Stoker's original Dracula, but for me, the diary style just did not work. David Crenshaw

//That's even more the pits. Except I think you mentioned you like your work. // You have me confused with some other studly pizza delivery boy, milady. That was not I.

//Gee, David. I think I resemble that remark! Poorly-worded?!! Monkey?!! I can never type my opinions here again! My ego is completely crushed... Ok. I'm over it now. Poorly worded indeed! // Oops.. so very sorry, Becky -- my post is obviously the one that was poorly worded. So very, very sorry. Need to speak to the monkey I hired to do all my typing for me. I meant poorly wored in the sense that Patti mistook what was your speculation for an actual, intentional spoiler. The other stuff was in regards that in your speculation, you did luck upon pretty darn close to some (potential) truths that we spoiler whores have read elsewhere. And as far as luck is concerned, I can promise you that Joss tries very hard to ensure that no matter how closely we examine each episode in our efforts to guess the final outcome, it's usually done in such a way that if we do guess it, it was pure luck and no science whatsoever. But I'm really, really, really sorry that I came across sounding so crass toward you. A thousand appologies, my dear lady.

"Nope, sorry. Still no snatch here. Wanna volunteer? " p Thought about it... But in today's sexual climate there are certain details we'd have to discuss first. Forgive me for getting personal, but.. You got any plans to jump in the hellmouth any time soon? Cause that would be a problem. Patti T.

//It would mean Spike would have to do something really horrible and heroic, and DIE, and I don't want him to die, even for a few minutes// Uh, the shanshu prophecy didn't say that the vampire with a soul dies -- it said he would live until he dies, and since Angel and Spike are already dead, then what the prophecy was saying was that they would cease to be dead and to live until their natural death, i.e., live a human existence. Here's the actual dialogue from the episode, "To Shanshu in LA": Wesley: Ah, oops. I may have made a tiny mistake. The word shanshu, that I said, that meant you're going to die? Actually, I think it means you're going to live. Cordelia: Okay, as tiny mistakes go, that's not one. Wesley: Shanshu has roots in so many different languages. Its ancient source is the Proto-Bantu, and they consider life and death the same thing. It's... it's part of a cycle. Only a thing that's not alive never dies. It's... It's saying... that you get to live until you die. It's saying... It's saying... you become human. Cordelia: That's the prophecy? Wesley: (reading) The vampire with a soul, once he fulfills his destiny, will shanshu, become human. It's his reward. Cordelia: Wow, Angel human. Angel: That'd be nice.

Spike had a great moment with Willow, when he attacked her but the chip kicked in for the first time, and he's all appologetic and she's thinking it was her. The double-entendre was thick, and those two played both sides so well. James has ok chemistry with SMG, sure, but his best chemistry is with Alyson Hannigan, Juliet Landau and Eliza Dushku. Agree, agree, agree...gosh I'm getting boring. I LOVE that scene in 'The Initiative' with Spike and Willow. It's hysterically funny, and sexy, and sweet all at the same time. They are both such good actors.

//Betsy said "Tell David he's on my s**t list for that monkey comment! Like I'm sure he cares! TTFN " Betsy, you just told him yourself! // Patti, do tell Betsy I care. I even posted a response directly to her, like she ever read it. But I care. I really, really care. About Betsy, you, and all the S'cubies. Swear. Like a sailor even. Which is easy, because I am a sailor, so no matter what I do, I'm doing it like a sailor ....

//Aaackkk! Well, ME DID promise a totally new format for Angel next year! At least they'd have more chemistry than Willow and Kennedy. And it would put the A/B A/S bickering to rest, wouldn't it?// To be honest, I'm hoping for a cross-show pairing between Willow and Fred. Those two were just too darn cute together. And then maybe Willow and Fred and Angel and Spike could double-date together. Then again, was that situation between Angel and Wesley ever resolved, you know, when the old guy who stole Angel's body thought Wesley was Angel's lover? David Crenshaw

Dave said 'Or you could re-do "Who Are You", and for that one, I voluteer to be Riley, I don't care which one of you plays Faith or Buffy ..... especially since in a way you'd be playing both parts at the same time anyway." Oooh...the episode with the warm champagne lines...yeah... So you wanna be the enormous hall monitor eh? Ok, but, I don't think we'd be playing Faith and Buffy at the same time in the way you're hoping...

I could get the scene with Faith first, then the extended make-up scene with Buffy at the end. I mean, we extended the scene with no-underwear lady, why can't we extend the scene where Buffy and Riley work things out afterwards? Or work things in, as the case may be ....

Nan - I'm the one who told Betsy and all the others that they could either post a request here on the board - OR - send an email message to Vlad with the scubiefan address. Betsy is not to blame for choosing the board to ask for the profile form. Nan - thank you for mentioning the overabundance of the "Re: Re: Re: 's in the subject lines. I wish our S'cubies would use the "Post New Message" button instead of the "Reply to Message" button also. I really wish the "Reply to Message" button didn't exist. And for "rebel" Patti - I am always very thankful when you note the person and their comment when you post an answer or reply. The posts that just say, "I agree with you" or, "That's my opinion, too," or, "So and So made me laugh," basically are useless posts without the original information. It costs you a bit of extra effort, but all the rest of us greatly profit from your consideration. Never think your extra work goes unnoticed.

"It's too bad her little rampage through Los Angeles with Drusilla only lasted one episode, because that was a stellar moment" Yes, in a stellar episode. When Angel said 'And yet, I can't seem to care' and locked the lawyers in the cellar with Dru and Darla, that was one of My favorite Angel moments. Absolutely unexpected (to me.)

Just push a button. It's so simple, even Patti can do it. ;-) David Crenshaw
