Patti I finally got around to reading part II of your convention report and it was WONDERFUL. I could visualize everything. It was funny and heart-warming and took my breath away. But when you said you gave him your 20 year old personal copy of Mere Christianity I gasped (it was like a Joss moment). What an incredible idea for a heartfelt gift. I hope he reads your note (and the book too of course) and it brings him joy. Sue

Indeed, if Connor doesn't come back, and Cordelia ceases to be a regular, then perhaps there will be enough fundage to have JM on the show next year. I agree with Nan..."Huh?" I am pretty sure it was part of the deal with W&H but even so, it would have been nice to have a little more to go on. Lilah is back! Here's to hoping that maybe she will be around next year. I really had begun to miss her in the short time she's been dead. Tehre is something very electric between her and Wesley. Perhaps if she "stays on" as a liason with W&H (read: spy) she can at some point demonstrate her gratitude to Wesley for attempting to free her soul by turning traitor. *shrugs* Just a thought. In fact, lotsa thoughts. Musta meant it was a decent episode, huh? The whole new direction of the show might be a way to have JM onboard without cramping his style into Angel's former little clique. I wish Eliza coulda been free tho'... oh well, her pilot will tank and she'll come aboard mid season and then they'll start up a new spin off the season after... Vlad

I'm sooorrryyy. Really, Vlad. You can be first. I mean, you really were first. So, of course you were. See it says "2" by your post. (Wait, "2" isn't first, is it?) BTW are you feeling better?

Sue, thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed the report, and approved of my gift. I struggled with it. I didn't want at all to appear to be pushy or 'invady' but it was the most meaningful thing I had that I could share with him. Of course as a preacher's kid and a serious thinker it is most likely not new to him. I just hope everyone's convention experiences, or other experiences seeing James, can be as satisfying as mine were to me. He did not disappoint.

Thanks for the help in pointing out htat I wasn't exactly first. *L* See, I told ya all that Vlad aint The First! But they wouldn't believe me! And yes, I am feeling better. Can't you tell by the spring in my step and the cheer in my voice? The fever is gone. I am still dealing with the congestion and "what not" but I think the worst is past and now its jsut a matter of taking it easy til I get better. Thanks for asking! Vlad

Vlad, I agree - the Angel finale was really good. I cried buckets for poor Angel at the end, and certainly had not expected to. I never liked Connor, but I ached for Angel tonight. The show MUST come back...and bring Spike with it! I've been reading lots of nice things David B. has to say about expecting James Marsters to be on the show next year, as if he is certain it is a done deal - I hope he is right. I'm eager also to find out how the Angel group handles being head of a branch of W&H...Angel is not the only one in danger of losing a soul in a place like that. I loved having Lilah back too. She has such a great charisma. Speaking of...I think 'resurrecting' Cordy into someone we can love might be one of Joss' greatest challenges. But if her continued coma and untimely summmer death will help pay James' salary, I say rest in peace, Cordy.

I finally found the second part of the report last night after days of looking (I am a muddle-headed wombat sometimes). It was everything everyone else has said. It felt like I was actually there. I can't wait until you do the next convention report next year. Hopefully, Spike will be on Angel or a spin-off and not doing something so different that he no longer has time for his 'Spike' fans. Returning to the subject of wombats, whatever happened to a S'Cubie (I can't remeber who) fanfiction with a wombat? I check my e-mails daily and it still hasn't arrived and I haven't seen it on the S'cubie website. Could someone please advise what the situation is with this fanfiction.
