And how'd they make him not remember? Was that a dart wound on the side of his neck? He had "rope" burn in the front, and that looked very different. With something traumatic enough, you don't need any help "not remembering." Memory loss just happens. It can be temporary, or permanent. Also, he had the oxygen loss to his brain for who knows how long.

Oh - more unbelievable luck. The flashlight falls right on a clue. Look! It's the seal to the Hellmouth!! What do you know? Oh come on! It's a UFO - its gotta be the UFO! Too many clues not to be now. Man what a great episode. Boone knows about Red shirts but doesn't know SPOCK's name...I'm guessing that was just to get a reaction out of us..but Boone, you did good! Locke - what was he following...'can't you feel it?" Is he a pod people? Jack, I absolutely love you. Good on you Jack! I was so stunned there...Charlie was so almost dead. And Kate was great. She's a fine actress. They are all such fine actors. Sayid and Sawyer - oh Sawyer, you were great. You were both great. I think they bonded. Michael you continue to piss me off. You're going to have to have one heck of a backstory to win this girl over. Hurley is a warrior - I KNOW! I know! He role plays! Gotta be that! And we have to wait now....what a great episode to hang a cliff on..or something.

Jack made be a great surgeon, but he's no fighter. Ayup. Ethan pretty well cleaned his clock. I did like the way, when Kate found him, it made me wonder if he imagined Ethan's clobbering, but then when they found Charley those doubts were gone. Vlad

That hour went by FAST! Locke went to the ridge, and Jack went further into the jungle. A lot of separation. Light/dark. I wonder what Walt meant by 'It's stupid to lie about your name." And he had another dad. I wonder if he wanted to stay with his stepdad, but Michael insisted he come with him. So, whose trail are Locke and Boone following?

Razzlefrazzing frimplmimping.... Is anyone else scared by "See it all, from the beginning" in that preview? As if we have to wait another ten weeks to get back to where we were? PLEASE say that is not the case.. It's not the case. One week off. There may be no major hiatus for this show, just the occasional repeat. Just guessing.

I think you're right - it was something different that Jack was asking Charlie about. Good catch! I just wonder how Ethan had managed to get him up that tree by himself.

*Insert rotflhao smiley here*. ;D Do ya think? And who are "they" and "it"? Boone - Are we Lost? Locke - Lost? No. Poor, poor Charlie. He says he doesn't remember, but knows that all they wanted was Claire. I tell you it's aliens. Patti says 'ALIENS'. unless it isn't, in which case someone else said that.

Only with the RIGHT ending! Yea David Fury! I so love this show! I thought that ending was all about making the opposite point that is made in "The Body." I.E. Not "This is how reality works," but "This is how the reality of this island works." And that Island reality is being shown to us as being strongly, strongly related to the hopes and dreams and fears of it inhabitants. Walt wishes himself double-sixes; Jack wishes Charlie alive.

OH. MY. GOSH. NOT MY CHARLIE!! I think my heart stopped for a minute, too. It was "The Body" all over again. I actually wondered... even with all that I know...they had me wondering.. is Charley dead? The first thought that raced through my mind: Damn you Joss Whedon. It was you that made it possible for me to believe thisfrom a weekly series. With the whole setup, Boones "redshirt" dialogue and here is a chance to actually kill off someone we care about..like Tara and Joyce...and the Mayor... oh.. wait... he deserved it.. okay..but still you get where my mind was. Well, wasn't that sumptin'? Did anyone else have little flashbacks of Merry and Pip being captured by the orcs and tossing their elvish pins so they could be followed when they found Charlies first bandage? I thought it was a cute homage. Vlad oh you're good! I didn't pick up on that - just the 'no props are wasted' motif...

Also, he had the oxygen loss to his brain for who knows how long. Well it couldn't have been more than 4 minutes or he wouldn't be talking, unless the island did save him.

I think that remark was just something a child would say - its a simple thing at that age? And of course it was meaningful to he-who-is-not-really-named-Sawyer.
