Yes, Daniel Dae Kim was incredible tonight. Once again, I repeat - the casting office did one hell of a job with this show. Not a missed beat anywhere. I totally agree. Think how much harder it is to act with just your facial expressions! James Marsters was great at that, too. I wish so much he was on this show. The quality is actually worthy of his abilities.

No way! I totally missed that! It was just a quick glimpse - he was getting into a car or something. So I have no idea if he was like, on a show, like an actor guy. Or was it a news clip? But it was Hurley!! **bounce, bounce** I really like Hurley.

Ok, how the hell does he still have batteries left for that thing? I need to get some of those type of batteries. ETA: Hmmm, free at last? AETA: HAHAHAHAHA!! Sorry Hurley, I didn't mean to jinx your batteries Oh, sure! Now it's your fault that poor Hurley can't listen to music anymore. ;D

Yup. And unfortunately, I think he also hates her a little, without admitting it. Like, he hates that he did all this stuff for her - sort of blames her in a way. Also, that he did all of it for her and she doesn't know/appreciate it. But he never told her what was going on! Lola but...she KNOWS her father....or she should. If she's as intelligent and hardheaded as Jin thought...and judging from the troubled look in her eye when Jin tells her he is going to work for her father - I really felt she knew or at least suspected. I give them equal responsibility.

<snip> But I love Hurley. Just love him. At the end tonight, when the CD player finally kicked it - hit the last of the batteries, I'd guess - it was like: OK, this is the end of one phase and the start of the next. <snip> Lola Nahhhh, they did it for me... Abrams has been scoping out our site and realized jsut how terribly annoyed it made me for him to have batteries. I also received an "anonymous" death threat from someone calling themselves "Dancing Mice" that if the reviews didn't resume, I would be served up like so much cold Korean sushi. Vlad

Aw crap.. he actually took Boone at his word. And she sees it too. Darn. I thought he was good for her: taught her some self-reliance... "Jungle Pals" Was that a frog that Locke is gutting? He's always got blood on him. Very cool thoughts about light Hurley and dark Locke. I hope Hurley gets a chance to stick around and prove himself. Oh, I think Jin went into the partnership with Sun's father with eyes wide open. And that's why he feels it's too late to start over. He should've listened to his father. What is Abram's childhood trauma with fathers anyway? Yep. Interesting that he chose to form a partnership with Michael to build a better boat. And smart, if he wants to keep Sun and Michael apart. I was happy to see Sun 'free' at the end.

Oooh! Shanyid kissage!! And she's under Locke's spell too. Which means that Sayid is gonna be in his camp.... "Harley owes me $83,000 dollars" hee!!! So Locke had a BadDaddy too. Everyone does here, seems like. OH FRICK!!!!! WALT did it? I'm so sorry, Locke. Though I still am creeped as all heck by you. Walt, you have your priorities kinda scrwed up. So Jin gonna make peace with Michael.. cool. I'm guessing he does have magical batteries.. Who's singing? Baptism. for Jin.. HEEE! OR maybe not on the magical batteries!!! heh.. And Claire is what, 327 months pregnant now? I think we get Hurley backstory next week. How many bad daddies are we gonna get? Perhaps Claire's new island life is to be forever pregnant. That way, no one else will ever be able to raise the demon spawn baby, and so the not good future prediction thing can't come true. Lola

I loved "jungle pals". ;D I was bummed that he took Boone's word at face value. At least just ask her straight out or something, but don't just . . . be all, drift away guy. Locke often says stuff that is really cool and that I like, but . . . I still have this vibe about him and I still feel . . . wary. Like I should keep an eye on him. But I love Hurley. Just love him. At the end tonight, when the CD player finally kicked it - hit the last of the batteries, I'd guess - it was like: OK, this is the end of one phase and the start of the next. I wonder if SunDaddy wanted Jin to fail. Wanted an excuse to really . . . show him the heavy hand of daddy and what that means. Along with implicating him. I loved how he thought of what to do and put it in place so quickly. Just get out of that car and do it. Then when he said "I just saved your life" to the guy. And then looking at the little girl. Poor Jin! Well, I figured when we got his story we'd end up having more empathy for him. Yup. And unfortunately, I think he also hates her a little, without admitting it. Like, he hates that he did all this stuff for her - sort of blames her in a way. Also, that he did all of it for her and she doesn't know/appreciate it. But he never told her what was going on! Lola Actually, I think he hates her a little because TWICE she didn't believe in him until after she felt he had 'proved' himself.

I thought that Sun was speaking English there because she couldn't make herself say it in Korean. It was too much, it left her too naked, so to speak, so she "cushioned" it by saying it in English. Am I making sense? I think you're wrong. It wouldn't have 'cushioned' the blow to say it in English - it would have been incomprehensible and meaningless. I still think it was said in English so that it wouldn't be lost in translation for us, the viewers.

Am I making sense? I'm with you Spring. I think she was speaking English and because it was her way of saying it without saying it. Also - I don't think they'd delibrately change how they handle the conversations with Jin/Sun. They have never shown them speaking English for our benefit before and I don't think they'd do it for just this one scene (esp since they then switch to Korean in the same scene).

Hi Nicki! Haven;t seen you recently. I really didn't like the way they did htat scene, if indeed that's what they were doing. It's jsut confusing. If they had both slipped into "english Korean" it would have been okay, but they only do it for one sentence that Jin is "supposed" to understand? And then go back to subtitles. Color me confused. Vlad Me too. Either muddled and silly writing or muddled thinking on the part of Sun. And Hi, Nicki!!!

I don't notice that anyone has mentioned that Daniel Day Kim was Lila Morgan's rival within Wolfram & Hart, particularly in Season 4, where he got killed and zombified when the Beast decimated the employees there. So another Jossverse alum makes good! So...didn't read the first few ep threads huh?

Am I making sense? You make perfect sense, Spring. Because, he has to know she learned English so she could leave him. She wouldn't have had any other reason to do so, since she obviously didn't speak English while they were in Australia.
