yes, she looked much saner, and like she'd eaten a few meals.. Yes. I think kidnapping and torturing someone, letting them escape and therefore having to boobytrap and destroy her former home has been good for her. Gave her something to do - took her outside herself, ya know? ;D Lola And, that may actually be sort of accurate.Or else, she's just free-er now that Ethan is dead.

those are the only numbers I remember. so...if we add them up and divide by number of episodes...(23 eps this season) are we going to get the date Dawn arrives on the island? LOL! At this point, I'm beginning to believe the monks created the whole thing. I must go to bed now. I liked the ep - looks like next week is a repeat, though? Bummer.

And he also owned a sneaker factory that burned down. I wonder if there is any connection between his holdings and Sun's father's factory. Give the smart girl a cookie! ;D I hadn't put that together, but I would bet a big chunk of Hurley's millions that you are right. Lola

It was heartening to see that Hurley was as neat a person before the island as we have seen him to be on the island. And I loved the humor in this episode - the guy falling out the window behind them when Hurley was discussing his holdings with the financial rep was macabre humor at it's best! I cracked up...and when he told the guy to get off the ladder! LOLOL!! maybe I'm just sick. Yep! I loved that part of what we all wanted (that Hurley turn out to have been just what he seems, a nice, normal, good guy) was true. Of course, that was before he was cursed by the crazy French numbers. I mean, CFN's.

That's from that series of books - I mean, the quote "thanks for all the fish." Those books my son likes to read . . . the Douglas Adams books . . . I think one is called something like "The Restaurant at the end of the Universe" or some such thing. I tried to read them since I like to have a feel for what a child o' mine is reading, but I couldn't get into them. But I remember that quote though "Thanks for all the fish." I can't remember what it refers to . . . but I think I used to know.

When Michael was helping to explain what Jin wanted Hurley to do, to hold the bamboo tighter, I had this flash of wondering something. I've thought it a time or two before but always forgot it when something else happened and it went out of my head.
We've all been asking if Jin speaks any English. But I also wonder if Michael speaks any Korean.

Or else, she's just free-er now that Ethan is dead. So you're saying she and Ethan . . . have a connection? OK. Now must really go to bed.

OH great catch!!! what else are they going to weave together! A big ol' net to catch all the plot clues in and help us solve the island mystery! ;D Good thing Jin's dad was a fisherman, he'll be very useful.

Lots of stuff about communication in the ep - wordless communication and communication problems . . . I was struck by that last scene. Charlie wasn't listening at all - he cut Hurley off when Hurley was trying to tell him his story, and made it all about himself. Then when Hurley tried to tell him more, he wouldn't believe it. I was hoping to see some hot Sayid lovin' in this ep, but we only got more teasing. I thought, despite the . . . strong suggestion that Hurley was, in fact, jinxed by the numbers . . . there was a strong suggestion that "believing it" is what made it so. All that mention of boxes - the box company, Leonard telling Hurley he had "opened the box," followed by Claire talking about traps . . . and traps in the woods . . . geez. I dunno what to think. But I think this was the funnest backstory we've seen yet. **sighs over the missed opportunity for hot Sayid lovin'** You're very right about all the mentions of boxes. And the mysterious hatch in the jungle could also be a "box". Maybe that is the box you open when you use the numbers? And the island monster is unleashed!! ;D
