So, why did Sawyer have his shirt on? Hmmmm? Kate got to take hers off. Ok, Karen. I know you love Sawyer, but Jack's MY main man. He's got better biceps than Sawyer and looks better with his shirt off. Yeeehaaawww!!!!! I just want to jump into my tv and make out with him. Oh, yeah? Says who? Sawyer's got cute dimples, sexier hair, and his kisses are sweeter than wine. So there. #moon# #bighug#

Hmmm.... Arzt is partz? Is there any reason left to watch.... Speaking of poor de-parted (yeesh) Arzt. I googled for "Arzt" and found the reference in Wikipedia - in German. Luckily they offer an English translation. Arzt means physician in German. A physician is someone who practices medicine. Medicine is a branch of health science concerned with maintaining health and restoring it by treating disease. So we have Arzt, the not-real physician, telling Jack, the real physician, how to pack the dynamite for transporting - which is going to blow open the hatch and *save* them all they hope, and Locke, the guy who used to play the game "Operation" doing the actual dynamite removal. #huh#

**nods nods nods nods** The numbers were trying SOOOOOOO hard to keep him off that damn plane! Shorting out his electricity, all the trouble getting the car and out of the hotel, the flat tire, the problems at the airport. Dude!! Does anyone think that the island didn't want Hurley there? I didn't think of it that way, but you may be onto something there. There were sure a lot of obstacles put in his way. I mentioned that if I was Hurley, I would've took them all as signs that I shouldn't get on that plane. But if these things were happening to me in rl, I probably would've ignored them and chalked it all up to coincidence. Maybe. Well, maybe not now. Aaaack, "Lost" is messing with my mind. So back to your question. No. But now I do. So, the numbers are good luck for Hurley? The island can't hurt him because he used them? Hmmmmm. Another thing I thought of about Hurley/Walt - after Lola and someone else (sorry, can't remember who) mentioned how they exchanged looks, was that Walt kept beating Hurley in backgammon, and Hurley couldn't understand why.

Eeeeep, again! Yes, Walt kept beating Hurley. But with Hurley's luck, shouldn't he always win? So it's that dynamic duo of Hurley and Walt - gonna be the heros after all! Yup. Sharky's right!

Yes. He was so obKnoxious from his first word, I wanted him dead, and the sooner the better. <snip> So the big blowup was rather anticlimactic, and not really either interesting or tragic. yes. when he was holding the dynamite and yammering away, i rolled my eyes at the screen and muttered, "would you please just shut up and explode already?" chalk me up as another person who was disappointed in the lack of answers in this episode. i agree with the many who've said that VM showed how to do a mystery-heavy show's finale well. (not that i'm biased or anything ;D)

Edited to add: This could be a HUGE SPOILER, a tease, a hoax, or who knows what.I tried to search to see if this link has been posted and I didn't get a hit...so I apologize if this has been posted already. www.oceanic-air.com/seatingchart.htmIf you click on the row numbers in 4 8 15 16 23 42 order it takes you to a preview of season 2. <snipped as possible spoiler> If it's not an official Lost site it's superbly done. I do think it is, because some of the supposed travel links actually work but take you to ads and places to register at ABC for a Lost newsletter from the writers of the show. There are Easter Eggs everywhere if you click on the individual seats. I'll leave that for y'all to discover.

It uses images from season 1 but suggests Sawyer survives. If it's not an official Lost site it's superbly done. I'm gonna go wander around there when I get on my home computer.

Not sure if this really should be a "spoiler": from an interview at zap2it with Josh Holloway: tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve_main/1,1002,271|95625|1|,00.html "Sharp-eyed viewers may have noticed something about the people on the boat, but if not, Holloway says, 'There were twins, which I don't know if you could tell. They were identical twins, which was really spooky. There again, that wasn't emphasized.'" Some S'cubies caught a blond girl, but I don't think we've noticed this. When we talk about "special" children, identical twins would definitely qualify. Or would these twins possibly be "clones"?

Or wait - does he mean the boat people that kidnapped Walt? Because there were twins on the plane, Scott & Steve, but one died. (I can't ever remember which one.) But as for twins on the boat, I didn't notice. Since it could have been noticed by anyone watching closely, I don't think it's a spoiler. I hope we are not talking about clones. I don't want this to be some kind of Island of Dr Moreau . . .

But as for twins on the boat, I didn't notice.. Spring, it apears that Holloway was referring to the Others' boat. But don't we already have the Island of Dr. Rousseau? and they were on a research expedition so who knows what they were up to? More mystery for next season. For those complaining that not much was revealed/solved this season, I want to finally add my thoughts: I liked the finale. I'm really getting into the characters both on and prior to the Island. I'm not done with them yet. So I really wasn't upset about the level of reveal in the finale. Too much too soon, and what to do you do for an encore? You have to keep enough of the core mystery of the Island going or all that's left is the rescue and the series dies. I thought the new turn of events in the finale led reasonably from what came before. I don't want "resolution" now. That's for the series finale. And I also don't mind shocker revelations that turn everything inside out and upside down as a rule, but you can only do that trick so often before I run out of patience. ("Alias" is getting to that point for me.) I loved the wrap ups for this season's VM, but (and here's the big qualifier) Rob Thomas has now got an awesome task in filling his own considerable Season 1 shoes to come up with a season arc mystery to match or top the one we are all praising. Or does he just drop the "Big Mystery" and go with SOFW and "Little Mystery"? See what I mean?

Oh - I agree there are clues pointing in the Moreau-direction, it just doesn't sit well with me. I don't like the idea of "the others" being some sort of . . . mad scientists. Oook! I was fine with the finale. I didn't expect any more "reveal" than we got, and was not disappointed in the "level of revelation" at all. Here's where I have been a bit disappointed in Lost. I don't find myself getting into the characters all that much. Locke is the one I'm most fascinated with by far, and Hurley is the most loveable and Sayid is the sexiest . . . but our main characters seem to be Jack and Kate, and I find them both very boring. So that is kind of a bummer. Yes - I'm sure they are hoping for a long run for the series, so they do have to be a bit stingy with the reveals.

Because we really don't know where the "others" come from, do we? I mean, they were already there when CFL and her gang got to the island, one presumes . . . Hmmmmm. "Special" children has a lot of different interpretations and possibilities, doesn't it?
