I thought so as well! I thought the dudes that were looking for his father were going to come busting through the hotel door and shoot his father and locke. actually killing the father and paralyzing john. I was actually suprised we didnt see how it happened tonight. That's what I figured - that those dudes were going to go after Locke. Hmmm. I wonder if they were part of Locke's dad's setup? See, that's what I was thinking. That they were actually part of a bigger con that was gonna do something even worse to Locke.

"Should I go get a ruler?" LOLOLOLOL. Hee! Loved that line. Also Sawyer's reason for knowing what amoxycillon was (well, who doesn't?) - I've been to Jacksonville. (hee! Jack-sonville) [/s] It was Tallahassee - my bad. Something was burning, and it wasn't from the sunshine. LOL![/quote] The juicy goodness just keeps on comin', doesn't it?

I want to know where the hell Michael is, or Desmond for that matter. Have not heard from him since the first episode of the freaking year. It has been what 4 eps or now since michael vanished, and not a trace or sign of him. God this show frustrates me so much, but it really is a damn good show. I really really really want to see Michael again. I want to know what he's discovered about the Others, what he's been doing, etc. I just have this feeling he's done some excellent sleuthing around and might have important info for us all!

Muttonchop. ;D So Jack is poker guy, huh? Hatch ain't goin' anywhere. Well . . . Huh. He's a building inspector guy now? And he's being followed by daddy. I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!!!!!"What'd you do? Steal their livers?" Um. John. You do realise this is another con, right? Don't take the money. Don't talk to him anymore. Leave now and don't look back. Wants Locke's word that he'll protect him. That's interesting. Lola McSmartypants. Rich has quite a harem. **snickers**

I think the light show was a map of the locations of the other bunkers with the main building being the one in the middle with the rest of the bunkers somewhere along the coast of the island. I cant wait to see it on the net so I can get a better look at it. And how did a supply drop happen by parachute if no plane was heard overhead? Its not like the drop was that far from camp! hmmm? That has me confused. and as far as next weeks preview. If they kill off Hurley, I may boycot the show! (probably not but damn I will be really really pissed off!!) They better not mess with Hurley! Link to screencap of the map on the hatch doors: community.livejournal.com/lost_tv/1258431.html?style=mine#cutid1Also - Nadia! Was that Sayid's Nadia? Yay!! This is why I love the interwebs. I knew that by the time I logged in this morning, someone would have capped the glowy map thing! ;D I didn't think it looked like Sayid's Nadia, but I'd have to go back to eps with her in them and rewatch.

Impressions: 1. Whatever Henry (or whoever he is) did when he crawled through that vent, it wasn't just what Locke told him to do. There's a plan at work here, and Locke is clearly the isolated target. Only he was to see that super-secret map. **nods** Yep. When it all started happening, I was like, "why is it always Locke?" And the blast door coming down on his legs seemed like a very pointed-right-at-you-Mr.-Locke kind of message thing. Rob McSmartypants! Wait a minute - does that mean you're joining the harem too? Ya know, I never even thought that the shower really did stop working. I was thinking it was all Jack keeping Kate out of some part of the non-existant loop. But you may be right! If it really did stop, that might have been the first sign of the wacky hatch hijinks to come. I prefer to think that Hurley (and actually all of them) is just getting better at ignoring Sawyer. 'Cuz really, that's the way to drive him nuts. Pay no attention to him. It all comes back to the dog, man. Evil puppetmaster overlord Vincent.

Somebody posted a larger and clearer image of the map on the door. community.livejournal.com/lostdiscussion/39435.htmlThere's also a version from US Weekly that they got from the producers, and it's annotated. Handrawn map, so possibly work of someone here before trying to figure out the mystery? I'm thinking Desmond. Maybe.

2 tidbits from lj-land: community.livejournal.com/lost_geek/160488.htmlLocke's dad...said he was running a retirement scam...we all know of a man who made his living doing retirement scams, etc...a man who would be that age now...is this the man who scammed Sawyer's mom? Obviously, he goes by a different name, but who uses their real name when running a scam?
...We were a little curious about the bank and whether it was the one Kate helped rob, though it seems a stretch, you never know.

It's a prop balloon and a prop grave, I'm telling ya! Not exactly, but yay! You, me, and Sayid, in the "I don't CARE how real it looks, I still don't trust the guy, let's dig up the grave" camp.

It seems pretty fantastic, but what a twist that would be, if Locke's dad was the one who scammed Sawyer's mom and dad and inadvertantly caused his Sawyer's dad's death. Did we ever find out what happened to Sawyer's mom?

In all honesty, I thought that last week’s episode, “The Whole Truth” was a little better. However, I must admit that Locke’s flashback tied in very well with his issues regarding abandonment, whether it had to do with Helen, Anthony Cooper or Henry Gale. He must have believed that his faith in Gale had been confirmed, whereas it didn’t with Helen and Cooper had failed in “coming back to him” . . . until Sayid, Ana-Lucia and Charlie returned with proof that Gale was a fake.
As for the Jack/Sawyer poker game – I wish someone would explain the literary applications of their scenes. I had felt as if I was watching some macho bull crap with both men trying to impress Kate and prove who is the superior man. It seemed very adolescent. And speaking of adolescent behavior, Kate’s remark to Jack that she was glad that he had beaten Sawyer made her seemed like a very immature thirteen year-old. And we’re supposed to believe in the Jate relationship?
Although Ana, Sayid and Charlie’s discovery of the happy-face balloon did not seem like much at first, it did provide an explosive finale with Sayid exposing Henry as a fake. Makes me wonder why Henry had bothered to give Ana-Lucia an accurate map, if there was a chance that he might be exposed. And why did Henry hang around to help Locke and not take the opportunity to escape?
I see that Charlie has yet to explain how he had a gun in his possession. And Kate looked absolutely shocked by the revelation that Jack had lied to her about what was going on in the hatch. Knowing her, she’ll find a way to brush it aside in an effort to get back into his good graces.
One last note – what was that diagram on the hatch about? And will it encourage Locke to become even more attached to the hatch?
