Nan:
I'm with you on this one all the way. The first sentence of that ad was GOD-AWFUL.
It's one thing to use some less than perfect grammar in these posts, or in casual ways. But when you are taking out a huge ad? And the error is so glaring?
It made me shudder. I guess I am a fuddy-duddy.

You know, it's just gotta happen now. I mean our boy is ready and raring to go.
Gosh - he went five hours straight back when he wasn't even at full steam . . . I mean, he wasn't confident in himself.
Wow. If I may refer back to myself and my last review, say Buffy better stock up on the aloe vera moisturizer herself.
Yes, he's smokin'.

Deborah, first, I'm glad I make you laugh. I live to giggle.
Ok:
)About episode titles, are they shown anywhere on the shows' credits?
I don't think they are normally on screen. I think OMWF and CWDP are exceptions. I may be wrong about CWDP.
2)Patti, how is it you've already read the script for last night's show.
I am totally spoiled up through episode 19. There are persons on other websites who must be 'moles' - people who work on BUffy or have access to the scripts because quite often the scripts are in these peoples hands and they then summarize them online. I am a reformed spoiler whore now, I do not know anything beyond ep 19 and have resolved not to. I am in week 3 of abstaining. I need a sponsor..
3)What's up with the Variety ad (see my previous posting). I was sure I'd just be able to waltz into the shop and buy it. They had the new issue. It had the right date (3/24). But it didn't have JM! What the f**K? (sorry, am distraught.)
The website responsible for coordinating the ad says you can not purchase this issue except by calling the number listed. (I posted the info to order on this board a week or so ago.) The edition needed is the Daily Hollywood Edition. Its not too late to order.
-Watching the ease with which Spike finally defeated Wood after the distraction of reliving the past with his mother had ended.
I LOVED this too, and haven't somehow mentioned it. This was the best fightin' episode all season. The alley scene and then the scene with Spike and Wood was just great. Oh, and Nikki and Spike too.
Un-triggered Spike fighting Wood was just all Matrixy, he was just AWESOME and I hope they let him be like that from now on. Just made my violent, twisted little heart go all pitter- patter. -Did Spike actually bite him or stop short? We didn't get to see Woods' neck after the show came back from commercial break.
I think he bit him. Wood had his hand on his neck I think. I see it as a domination thing. Spike bit him to show he could have as easily killed him. -At worst I'm really really mad at Giles, at best just utterly perplexed. But I am royally pissed that he chose to discuss Spike and the trigger with Buffy in Wood's office in front of Woods. That discussion should have been private.
I saw that whole scene as really weird. Giles used to be much more circumspect - he used to know you don't discuss demons out loud at school.

A big, heart felt thanks to Sue, Ann, Lee, Patti, Spring and everyone else who crafted thoughtful and articulate rebuttals to what have been some very negative opinions about Spike on the Episode Board today.
Lots of silent cheers from me. I've just finished catching up on the postings over there and now I'm trying to catch up here. Meanwhile you might guess what I've accomplished at work today (not a hell of a lot).
Thanks once again for all your fine efforts.

You're not the only one, but you sure hit all the nails on the head. Giles is WRONG this season. If its just that they needed to illustrate that Buffy had to grow beyond her need of him, I think she'd already done that. I know he's her surrogate parent and the ep is 'Lies My Parents Told Me' but I'm wondering if WE aren't be 'lied' to by omission so far about Giles. He was so wise at the end of Season 6 and the beginning of 7. He is not wise now. He is hysterical, easily led, and completely lacking in trust of Buffy. He should by now, trust her completely. They had grown to that, I felt. Gotta be a reason.

Yeah, yeah, you're right, I do it for awhile, then I forget. Like pre-adult Spike, I'm impatient and forgetful. I'll try again.

Actually, I agree with you Nan, honest. I was just really trying to say in my flippant way that most people who read that ad will never know there is a problem with it. Our society has grown up with 'Stop 'n Go' and 'Yo'. I used to fight the good fight. Now I just try to wince quietly and step over the word carnage...
But you go, girl! (see what I mean?)

Thanks Patti. I Emailed some nice lady on the Contact List for the Ad Campaign and got a very comprehensive reply complete with instructions for obtaining the issue in question. I shall follow up after work. It's a toll free number and since I presume it's in CA I'll still be calling during their business hours.
Boy, am I ever swamped. It's my busy season and I cannot afford to let myself fall behind but that's just what I've done today, in a big way. Such is the overwhelming compulsion I have for following and sometimes (sometimes foolishly as it happens) participating in the discussions on these boards.
Back to work, Deborah!

Yup.
Yup.
You've got it.
I agree.
What is it with Giles?
Spike rocks! And getting better all the time!
I agree.
Absolutely.
Well there you have it. My replies to all the posts since I was here last evening. My strategy was to post BEFORE all the well thought out posts, that way I sound a mite insightful. *L*
And my query:
Could someone let me know if a NEW Angel episode airs tonight (or not as the case may be)?
The TV guide called for a new ep. here last night but it was replaced by a Buffy season 6 rerun. I'm hoping I won't have to avoid spoilers for a whole 6 days. (Or, maybe this should be a warning to the rest of you to expect a re-run tonight. Who knows?)
I hope that last paragraph made at least SOME sense.

It's overwhelming here. Please move us up to the next part.
I tried in the Ep board, (and contributed some of my best analyses)but honestly, I don't like it there. I wanna come home...*sniff*
