Pixi - I hate to say this, but do I detect you having opinions of your own? What kind of minion behavior is this? I must have let you out of Spring's N'ubie Training Camp before you were really ready. Agree on the absolute boringness of Koontz. Aaron would be much more exciting, true, but totally out of left field. It is definitely open to much interpretation, but for me, Rob T would first have to manufacture a motive out of thin air in two eps (lame!), and he'd have to pull off the big characterization switcherroo. It was just a momentary lapse - I'll try not to do it again. ;D Hee, hee. I understand the objections against Aaron but I just don't see any other good candidates - other than Lynn which is really out there - that seem viable to me. I guess things just seem hinky with the whole Aaron/Lynn dynamic to me. I also think I'm more on board the Duncan as rapist while also drugged train now. But then I think I've moved beyond obsession into glazed territory so my brain is hardly making rational decisions at this juncture.

"I find it very weird that the next episode is called A Trip to the Dentist after all the talk about evil dentists the past few days."
For some reason Karen - the board wasn't letting me quote you so I just copied you over here.
Neat catch. The board is obviously in tune with the world of Rob Thomas. Cue eirie Twilight Zone music here.

I keep having to distract myself with things so I won't go read spoilers. I want to see the last two episodes THAT bad that I'm *this* close to resorting to spoilers! ACK! me too, rae -- the suspense is killing me! and i'm even downloading a large plug-in just so i can watch the beginning of the episode on this mac. ;D

I just hate the idea of any suspect where a sudden "made out of thin air" motive must be concocted - like with Aaron, or Wiedmann, or that sort of suspect. It has to have something to do with Lilly's "secret," which pretty much has to have something to do with Weevil. NOT that I think Weevil is the killer, just that the killing related to the "Weevil secret." Which gets me nowhere on fingering a suspect, really. It could be "Duncan in a rage," with the idea that the death happened just as Jake & Celeste suspected, but that the surprise is elsewhere . . . what I mean is, the drama and surprise will not be with "who did it" but with surrounding events. Kind of like the rape: The rapist may be some obscure 09er, but the drama is in the fact that Logan brought the drugs, and perhaps Duncan was in some external way complicit also (watching people put drugs in drinks and saying nothing, or some such thing). Am looking very forward to our new ep!

Am looking very forward to our new ep! Well--I still like the Koontz possibility. I don't find it boring--I think it would be a great twist for the confessed killer to actually be the real killer. And I don't think it would be a made up motive either: Koontz finds out he is dying and wants to leave something for his daughter. He goes to the Kane house already upset, angry, etc to confront Jake about his role in the invention and what he feels he deserves (a piece of the profits rather than having been fired----no health benefits, no inheritance. Maybe he had been biding his time figuring he'd prove his part and/or get back at Jake down the line---now he finds he has no time.) Maybe he's the one who told Celeste that Veronica might be Jake's daughter (he clearly knew). Anyway, he shows up at the house. Lilly taunts him, he loses control....boom. Lovely, lovely irony when the Kanes think Duncan did it and pay Koontz to take the fall. I don't find that boring I find it ingenious. ======= And while I'm spinning off the wall theories: Lilly's secret is Weevil. Ergo, when Weevil dies he is as angry and distraught at Logan and can't even show it. I think it's just possible that he may be the rapist because, altho we "like" him and his give/take relationship with Veronica (done out of guilt?) outside of Duncan he's really had the least screen time and bonding with Veronica (unlike Logan and Wallace). Plus his comment about the leopard not changing his spots. That said I'm still thinking it's random extra guy (most hopefully not guys). ======== <snipped as spoilery>

Actually, it (belatedly) dawned on me that either Spring or I could also do it--as thread moderators---so I've snipped even more. Not that that helps Spring. Still sorry.

Yep. I'm a lousy typist and an even worse editor. nah, we all make mistakes. both with editing & spoilery stuff. i've accidentally posted something i didn't realize could be considered spoilery on the VM board before myself. and here i go, posting away! so, going on from what you meant to say - how awful that would be for poor weevil, to not even be able to publicly grieve. if this were true, might that partially explain his protectiveness of women such as carmen? regardless of how he & lilly felt about each other (be it close friendship, romance, or whatever) it seems we've been given clues as far back as the memorial dedication that it was definitely something strong. ------------------------------ is anyone interested in opening the ATttD thread now so those of us that have seen the beginning segment can discuss it, or should we all just wait till tuesday?
