I've read it and it is well done. I don't like the premise much myself though so its not my favorite fanfic out there.

First, thanks to Fotada and Rae and others who are posting VM fic links or writing fic! I love seeing how this fandom is growing. Seems like just in the span of the last few weeks I see more and more folks talking about it, planning on catching up with it, etc. Hopefully the re-runs will increase the love even more. Now, the speculation. Hmmmmm. I'm hoping that there is a "big" mystery arc that lasts all year. And I think I'd almost like it if it were a totally new development. Linked to the gang by the town or the school or a relationship, but not one we've concentrated on before. Although I would like more answers about Clarence Weidman and the Kane Corp stuff. I'd like to see Logan. (Duh!) But not in an immediate "V and L get together and everything is hunkydory" way. Because I think they both have too many issues for that to be realistic. I'd like to see Keith and Alica get even more together. They are a good together - both strong and protective of their families, but willing to listen to the other person when misunderstandings or disagreements arise. I want to see more of "the gang" from Neptune high. More Wallace, especially exploring his friendship with V now that he's becoming "popular" and his mom is dating Keith!!! The writers can do a lot with that! More Weevil, more Meg, more Mac, more Duncan. I want to see Veronica continue to grow and change - to figure out where she fits in, to struggle with issues of making friends and letting people get close. I want to see more about the society of Neptune High. The struggles between the rich kids and the kids of the folks that work for their parents. The issues of control and pretense that the school has. I really like the long arc, the "case of the week" that gives us clues to the big mystery, and the ongoing growing story of all these people. (In other words, I don't want them to mess with the basic concept. Well. At least until I see what other wonders they can produce. ) Hmmmmm. Those are some pretty boring speculations, aren't they? I'll have to go away and think more and them come back with the really wacky ideas. Lola

This isn't speculation... but not sure where else to post it. I have a hypothetical question. Sorta like a VM Nerd Alert ( TM Diane) in a way... If Rob Thomas agreed to an interview with you... what questions would you ask him? (Well, I mean, besides the obvious, "Who's at the door?!) Sue/Spring: If you prefer I move this question to another thread, just let me know.

Sue/Spring: If you prefer I move this question to another thread, just let me know. I don't think this needs to move . . . Sue? Any objections? On the question itself . . . I'd ask Rob Thomas . . . 1) What's the backstory on Lianne? How did she become the self-centered alcoholic we see at the end? How long has she been that way? I can't reconcile the Lianne we've seen, with Veronica's formerly wholly positive and hopeful view of her and Keith's quick decision to try to make it work with her, again. 2) Clear up the "age" issues on Veronica, Duncan, Logan and Lilly. Who was older, Lilly or Duncan? Who is in the same grade, and who is not? 3) Is Veronica going to be getting a more frequently seen, female, best friend? We've seen her talk to Megan and Mac, but the only real friend she has is Wallace. This is a good thing, but especially without a Mom, I think she needs a close female friend also, now that Lilly is gone. Any plans to do this? That's all I can think of for now.

Sue/Spring: If you prefer I move this question to another thread, just let me know. Rae - I love this avatar. The colors are so perky. I like Spring's questions. I guess I don't get to ask him who is at the door? ;D I'd probably ask some questions about the character of Logan Echolls - some of his mannerisms - did he have any input into JD's interpretation of the character? Did he expect to see or is he surprised to see the huge outpouring of interest in this character? I'd ask him if Trina will still pop in now that AH has her own sitcom? I know the question was asked prior to the news of what pilots were picked up and he said he would like to see her back and I was wondering if that had changed. I'd ask him why EC was all beat up in that one episode? (eep I don't remember which one). I just remember all the board speculation about whether it was an accident the actor was in personally or if it related to the mystery. I would ask him if he will continue to use flashbacks in season 2? (Not flashbacks relating to Lilly's murder of course but as a storytelling tool). I would ask him what his motivations (or his writing staff's) motivitions were for Veronica in the leaving the camera pool house scene. Were we as viewers meant to think she thought Logan was going to tape them and why it was so abrupt after the smoopiness. I'm sure I'll come up with more but these are some just off the top of my head. I would probably be a poor choice to interview him though what with all the slavish devotion, constant compliments and geeky staring. Just saying. ;D Oh and I would ask him when the cast is coming to Florida for a meet and greet. Hey they could all meet Mickey.

I just wanted to pop in and say that I've been snooping around RT's site www.slaverats.com/and in the Veronica Mars downloads section there are some of RT's notes for the original pilot. Some very interesting information there, including that, at least at the time of the creation of the show, Duncan and Lily were meant to be twins. I hope that helps to clear up at least one question. BTW, I'd like to make the only prediction that I'm at all confident about. Next years big mistery will NOT center around the Kane family. That's it, that's all I've got.

Thanks everyone for playing along I didn't post my questions... 1. I'd ask about Logan's necklace. It's such a stupid thing for me to obsess on but I'd like to know if there's a story behind it or not. (And, I'd actually be satisifed with a, "Yes there's a story." I don't need to know the story - just want to know if I can imagine there is and wonder what it is or if I'm thinking a little TOO much about Logan these days.) 2. I'm interested who Rob plays to as an audience. Obviously the show's trying to reach as many people as possible but does Rob come up with ideas and write with one audience in mind or no? 3. I want to ask about next Season but I don't. I want to go into it completely surprised and unspoiled so it'd be hard to ask anything that wouldn't end up spoiling it in a small way for me. Maybe about cars... will we see some of our favorite characters change cars? Hmmm? Maybe also ask him about Keith and Alicia and whether he sees that as lasting or not. I'm interested in how a Keith/Alicia relationship would change the dynamic of Veronica/Wallace. Hmmm, I guess that's about it. I'm so uncreative. I'd probably ask him lots of things that don't apply to VM at all if I were to get him for an interview... about how he picked YA as a genre and what he did to get his stories sold (besides, you know, being a fabulous writer) and what ideas he has for the future. Those type of fangirly questions...

I would also ask him if he visited any other internet sites but TWOP and how much that site influenced him. Probably not at all as far as writing but how much the reaction influences him. (in the couldn't care less or interesting but whatever or hmm maybe I should exploit that sense). He does post there. I think I'm more conflicted than you are Rae - I want to know but I don't want to know. I think I'm just so worried about Logan (poor baby ;D ) that it's making me want to know general things way more than I did at the beginning of last year. Damn that sinister Jason with his fabulous acting!

I'd ask about subtle changes in scripting or plotting. I know he had the killer and all the main storyline from the start, but what smaller bits did he change or alter or tweak? And why? 'Cuz I'm always insterested in stuff like that.

I'm one of those obsessive LoVers of the show. I would ask Rob Thomas when he decided to pair up Veronica & Logan. Obviously, not from the beginning because Logan was only supposed to be a guest star. Although in at least one interview R.T. commented on the great acting chemistry between the actors. I wonder at what point he and the other writers decided they liked what they saw between these two characters and wanted to see more. (THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU) Personally, I didn't see the potential for a relationship between these 2 until "An Echolls Family Christmas".

That's a question I'd like to ask Rob T as well. Right from the pilot there was a lot of snarking and paralleling between Logan and Veronica, though they doesn't necessarily mean Rob meant to follow up on that. It worked out well though, I agree!

I wanted to join Spring in welcoming you to the board. If you spend any time here you'll know I too am obsessed with Logan and Veronica and well pretty much everything to do with the show. But they truly are a fascinating, charismatic couple aren't they? If you would like to get to know anyone do come visit the main board where we have a lot of fun, occasional deep discussions and mostly just share our days with each other. Again - welcome!
