"You're 12. You're a barrista." Ahhhhhhhh! He left her? Ah ha! He didn't sent the fax - so who did? Vinnie! Was it all a plot to break them up? Who wants to mess up the wedding? Wait a minute. Did he do it? So that she'd be the one that left him at the altar? Oh, yeah, he or the parents did it. "Like I would ever sex up a drummer?" Ah, to keep the ring. That is really evil. You're talking, but your clothes are still on. The doctor comes to visit . . . Interesting. And what the hell are you doing stealing DNA, Kendall?! "Let the lying cokehead plastic surgeon lecture me on Karma." Good one. Ah, and now you have to break up with Hannah . . . and you don't like that. You were gonna buy a new jacket? ;D Love love love the snark between V and Vinnie. Ah ha! I think I've done something horrible. Yup, he really gets it about Hannah. Here's the funny bit: "If my true love shows up, I'll be at the espresso machine." And then Logan appears. Perfect timing, eh? Express love. The love express. ;D

I definitely think he's getting pangs of conscience. And I think it's supposed to just be all shades and shades of grey. One of the thing that always intrigues me about this show is the grey areas that the main characters inhabit. Veronica, last year especially, went to any lengths and used people in order to serve her greater good (solving Lilly's murder). Now we see Logan doing the same...using people to serve his greater good (solving Felix's murder and exonerating himself). What I don't get, when I've read some of the recaps at TWoP, is why there is such a focus on L's serious greyness when almost every character has done seriously morally ambiguous things. Huh. I have no idea. I know we've frequently talked about Veronica's slips on the slope of expediency and how worrisome they can be. I'm off to the Lost thread now! Woo hoo! Such a night of new eps!

Maybe because Logan has been painted as the one sliding down the slippery slope into ultra-spoiled rich boyhood. Or, because he's supposed to be V's love interest in fan world. I agree with you. They have all done some morally questionable things. But, V, is supposed to be our hero. She was working for a greater good that went beyond her own needs. Logan is working for "his greater good", to keep his cute butt out of jail, not necessarily to solve the murder of another. Did that make any sense?

Ok - my head just 'sploded. Terrance got shot? Logan thinks sex with a 14 year old sounds ok? Ok - she not 14, just looks 14. Um, Heidi is making time with her old boyfriend, but calling her fiance? Yay! The cool teacher is back. Lots. Of. Stuff. Lots and lots of stuff. I need charts. And graphs. And highlighters and many different color pens. Hee! I'm just gonna wait for Sue's review.

The good news is J, C and A all have all day Saturday activities so hopefully I'll be able to rewatch tomorrow and get some serious writing done by then. (Even with 2 daughters as well as Carolyn's 3 college friends staying here.)

I just love that they give us good character...I'm always fascinated by them all.

My initial reactions - copied from LJ before I read the board:
I enjoyed this episode a great deal. I love that I'm loving my show again. It wasn't perfect - but overall, I really enjoyed this.
The sex issue seems to be causing stress and I must admit - coming to LJ and visiting various sites, I'ma little surprised. So even if Hannah and Logan did have sex - what of it? It sure looked like she was pushing for it in my opinion. (Hannah's characterization is kind of all over the place, all shy and giggly one week and let me jump your bones the next). Dohring was magnificent in this episode. He played all the despair, the conflict, the determination - everything needed in this arc to perfection. I mean his life is an expose on television, PCHer's hate him - they even spit on him (ewwww and poor Logan), his ex-girlfriend has treated him like something that crawled out of the primordial ooze all season, he has no family, no home and his lawyer just told him the best he could hope for was two years in prison. I would be doing the same thing - anything and everything to prove my innocence. And last time I checked - offering sex to a teenage boy really seldom leads to the boy saying no.
Dohring - wow! I sometimes simply gape at the television set at how terrific an actor he is. I hope his career progresses to the point that he is someday standing on that Oscar podium because my friends - this man can ACT!!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved Vinnie and Cliff - man, what a great one, two punch. These two are so wonderfully complete and perfect characters. I'm all a squeee!!!!!!
Tinseltown Diaries - perfect. Just perfect. (pardon me while I drool a little over Jason in a tux). I loved the way they set it up, the clips of Hamlin, Trina's little fake illness, the beautiful pics of Rinna.
Some great lines - the I'm with stupid, Penises can be distracting - hee, hee.
Loved Heidi - her mystery was boring but loved her. You go girl. Great wedding confrontation. And truly nice parellel of Heidi being set up with the Logan arc. Both accused of something they didn't do, both having others distracted by fake, planted clues, both in the end triumphing. Though Logan's triumph is much more painful and empty for him, because he does realize how much he is hurting Hannah, he is facing his accuser and his accuser backs down. Same with Heidi's tool of a fiance.
I loved the way the ring bookended the mystery. Flaunted in the beginning and casually dismissed by the viewer as so much party chatter and yet in the end - it was all about the ring. Hee, hee.
What's going on with Beaver? What's going on with Kendall? (Charisma looked fantabulous- whew, my tribute to your body CC, well done)
Hair out of the shower drain? EWWWWWW and great. Love it. Love that Aaron is continuing his Duncan ploy. All kinds of love for Hamlin too.
Overall there were weak points, I wasn't into the MOTW (but per my tastes, loved the opening Karaoke). Did everyone see Ausciello is his little cameo, blushing over his underwear?
I was kind of bored with all the Terrence Cook stuff too but surprisingly - I'm really into the Logan/Hannah arc. It played out much better than I expected. Very layered, very conflicted, very nice.
I'm so perky - I love that I'm loving my show again.
Now - on to see what everyone else thought.

Is this some sort of intermediate wrap-up episode? Look at all these flashbacks. Oooh. Lamb is loving this. Like hey, Keith, I told you so . . . ;D Ya think? LOL! So, why are we re-visiting Aaron at this particular point, do we think? Let's bring Logan into it. A chip off the old block. Oops. Mommie is pissed at Logan's new girl. Look at Duncan. Convenient, since he's not around. Quite the ring. V has a point. Number 8? The imagination goes wild. ;D Lamb is soooooo loving this. Magic touch skedaddles. Good for him. So, where do we think the bride-to-be has gotten to? Very long previouslies but I think this was a way of bringing any potential new viewers up to speed.

Oh my god. Am I in heaven? Cliff, mystery moving forward, Kendall and her breasts of doom, ambiguous Logan, AND Vinnie Van Lowe? I know! How can it get any better? All my favorites and Hamline too!

Yay! The cool teacher is back. Lots. Of. Stuff. She's not 14. She's a sophmore. Hudson is 14 and he's in 8th grade so that makes her 15 or 16. Rob has no problem with teenagers having sex. Look at all the sex last season. The problem is the actress looks like she's 12. Poor casting is my opinion. I don't blame Logan in the slightest here.
