The ragtag fleet moves ever onward. Everyone is welcome to discuss here, but keep an eye out for those treacherous can-openers! They are everywhere! And they look jsut like us! Vlad

I wonder how long it'll be before they remember that Gaius lied about Boomer being a Cylon. So much going on in this episode. I need to rewatch it, but I was freaked when they lost the rest of the fleet and when the Cylons were uploading their computer virus. I was confused by the ending, but those Cylon toasters still give me the willies.

I wonder how long it'll be before they remember that Gaius lied about Boomer being a Cylon. I was wondering that too!!! Also, it was good to hear / be reminded that a lot of folks don't like or are unimpressed with Gaius even without knowing that he is working for the Cylons. (Tigh's comment after the one guy wished that Dr. Baltar was there.) I liked how they distracted us with the fear of the Cylons hacking into their computer system - which didn't happen ( as far as we know) so that we didn't even really think about the ship that crashed into the Galactica. Very very creepy when the camera panned down and peered into the interior of the Cylon ship and all those glowy eye beams started moving! Meeep!

So, what's up with the gunfire at the folks crashed on the planet? If it's Cylons, why not just come down and wipe them out? Could it be something or someone else? Also - I find it very interesting that Tigh doesn't want command. Just like Starbuck doesn't want command. Guess Adama is good at spotting those folks who need to be pushed to stretch. Now that they've (apparently) gotten away with briefly creating a computer network, do we think they'll keep trying that trick again? And will it get them in trouble? Lola Man, I wish this damn hot and humid weather would break. Just the act of sitting out in the front room (which does not have a window air conditioner) to watch TV for 3 hours last night made me so floppy that I wasn't up for sitting at the computer and chatting. I just went to bed (since the bedroom does have the window air conditioner). I'm such a warm weather wimp.

I have to say that I was one of those people who immediately thought back to the original series, with the cheesy looking Cylons and whatnot, when I heard about the new series being made.
I watched it last night, for the very first time and was struck by the difference. A difference I like. It's pretty good!
That is all. ;D

Well, I think I'm going to have to turn into a Kazaa-ho again so I can re-watch all these, dammit. They're SO good and there's SO much going on!

So, what's up with the gunfire at the folks crashed on the planet? If it's Cylons, why not just come down and wipe them out? Could it be something or someone else? I had the same thought! I don't remember the human-looking Cylons using weapons before, and the toasters ARE weapons. Oh, good thought. I don't feel that he feels the same about his son. And Apollo is very decisively on the President's side - calling her "Madame President" as he left the jail cell. Oh - and what about her 'worshipfullness'?. Will she turn all Glorificus now because she's getting some minions? I don't think her assistant liked what he saw when that soldier asked her to pray with him. She didn't flinch an eyeball, did she? I'm sure it will, if they use it again. It worked so well, they'll probably be tempted to use it. Very good question! {{{{Lola}}}} Now that I'm used to the hot and humid, I've been enjoying it. Even weeded and watered today. Of course, we do have central air, so I have the option of cooling off when I want to. My good biking-buddy is from Minnesota. She doesn't go with me when it gets this hot.

Well, they dumped a lot of material on us and left us not far from where we left off in season one. In other words, the writers know what they're doing. I intend on having a review posted when I can get the chance to write it; but, it may be a bit lol. Two jobs and a motorcycle in your living room is a little preoccupying..

How much is real in this universe, how much is not. Compare and contrast to the Cylon beliefs and so on. And yup, the assistant was looking a bit nervous. Of course, I don't blame him. They're already locked in the brig and things just keep getting stranger. Well, we had some really nice weather blow in, for at least the next couple of days. So I better just enjoy it while I get it.

Yes, I can see where that would be a bit distracting. Lots of info and lots of things to start us off in the new season, but as you said, not really a lot of explanation yet.

Okay, so I'm gonna try to keep up this season - what with it starting in summer, it's a good time to get used to it before all my returning shows, well, return.
I thought this was more a "placeholder" episode than anything else. Not a lot going on, IMO. And, as Havoc said, they didn't move much beyond the end of last season. I'm gonna withhold judgement on whether it's good writing or not.
As with (not a spoiler): I'm fairly certain, myself, that Adama isn't gonna die. Meaning that the dragging it out all episode and into at least the next one is a bit - much - for me. I've been through enough "He's in a coma/is he gonna make it?" plots in television to be not impressed or worried.
I did wonder who the hell was doing the shooting, and also - am I the only one, when they're on their way back with the other med kit, and having the happy banter, and the camera is doing those isolated, from somewhat far away shots of each of them, who was thinking, "Dudes, one of you is totally about to die"? It was sort of a dead giveaway.
