Huh.. Apollo's gonna reign him in?
WHO THE FARK's the FLASHBACK CHICK?
YES!!! Thought he was just gonna let him live.
Now, of course, you have to get out of there. Or take over his syndicate, yourself...
Yes, he's taken over as the Big Boss: he may not take a cut, but they're gonna take his orders.
Whothehell is "her"?!
*sigh* Deux ex Backstory on the "Lee's baby" plot.
Silly woman: you have a kid to look out for: Even if you know you aren't what he wants, he will treat you well, and help elevate you out of that mud.
Seems like a writing difficulty to me: I'm annoyed by the retconned girlfriend and by the fact that Shevon is NOT acting in her own (and her baby girl's) natural best interests, despite being in the most desperate straits a person can be in: the trade in children is not gonna dissapear: it will just grow more furtive.
Ah. Roslin's pissed about the practicalities of it: there does need to be a little looseness around the edges... This way they can keep an eye on the safety valve... but in her idealism, she's upset...
*sigh* it would just re-form elsewhere, if they squashed it there.
And ah, Zarek was setting up Phelan.
Ah, D's moved on.
Hell, they shoulda told us about the nameless woman.

What the heck was THAT a flashback to? Ah, Roslin playing with Baltar.... No, she's not afraid of him: she's wary. Different thing. Heh... A "suggestion" that someone resign is pretty much an order. That was one lovely scene, wasn't it? Excessively overconfident. Very very very foolishly overconfident. IMO, Zarek, as usual, is playing both sides against the middle.

Will Dangerous!Lee shoot? I say yes. I say yes. (Is it just me, or does Dangerous!Lee feel like Scruffy!Wes, just a little bit?) But, will he shoot fatally? He feels like Scruffy!Wes more than a bit. They both were hurt in the neck, too. Man, he really didn't have a choice but to kill that black market boss. As soon as he told Lee that he wasn't his father, I knew he'd do it. Very similar to Baltar's resolve to continue as the Vice President.

I was thinking that. And if so, definitely a darker version. Jeezum Crow, what the hell about this series isn't darker than the original? ;D And there's no robot dog, either.

EETAH on the 'who was that girl!'? Then Adama's kryptic - "you should have told me about the girl" - and Lee's stoic stare. I like that Lee and Adama shared a moment there at the end. (Altho, it reminded me of a Boston Legal Denny Crane and Alan Shore scene. )

Huh.
Apollo just went in, on a suicidal-type mission: put a gun to the head of an evil and inhuman-acting monster of a leader, and shot him: of his own initiative: where Adama's orders to Kara to something pretty much equivalent? Were part of what drove him to the point of "not wanting to be recovered" when he'd ejected.
We become what we hate? Huh.
FRACK! NO STARBUCK!!!! DAMMIT!!!

I hadn't thought of it that way, but it's very intriguing. There are definite parallels to what Adama asked Starbuck to do. We become what we hate? We become the Cylons? They become us?
